Challenge to myself!!!

I decided to challenge myself on something. I just read this radical stewardship article below. You can read it if you want, but the basic jist of it is that a 24-year-old girl named Jennifer, who LOVED to shop decided to give up shopping FOR A YEAR!!! OMW!!! She learned to just live with what she had and made it JUST FINE!!!
.
So I don't think I could do that for a WHOLE year, and to be honest I don't think its really an issue with me. I mean of ya don't have any money to spend, ya don't have any moned to spend...LOL!!! BUT I thought what can I challenge myself with? And we all have SOMETHING that we like to do. FOR ME ITS EMAILING!!! ;)
.
So I decided to challenge myself and FOR a whole week NOT send out ANY emails!!! But its JUST emails I am not doing, and that includes REPLYS AND REPLY ALLs!!! AAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!
Oh but I am still gonna be blogging so don't worry you can still get your daily dose of Mary here! ;)
Soooooooooo I am GONNA try and do it!!! Think I can?!?! LOL
I CAN!!! =)

Jennifer's Protest
Family Life Communications***
A year ago my 24-year-old daughter decided to stop buying clothes for a year. Really. How did she do? I'm glad to say Jennifer not only survived - but she thrived. Why did she do it? It was a protest, she said, against her personal materialism, which manifested itself in her weakness for buying clothes she simply didn't need. She said it was really difficult at times, especially since she and all her girlfriends love to shop. But resisting the impulse to buy those clothes taught her that she could be completely satisfied with what she already has. So, now that her year has ended, will she go on a big shopping binge to celebrate? Nope...Jennifer says she'll continue to be radical about how she uses her money, and maintain her commitment not to spend needlessly. I'm proud of her...and challenged by her example. I know I have some
personal materialism I can protest against. Do you?
