After they collected my bone 🦴 marrow and stem cells yesterday, it is waiting for him…

What’s going to happen next???? Today he got admitted back into the hospital for another session of chemo therapy. This next chemo session will be the strongest he’s had. It is so intense it will kill all of his own bodies stem cells. Without stem cells, he wouldn’t be able to recover from the chemo and he would die.

But they will then transplant my stem cells/ bone marrow into him, they will help him recover and from now on, his stem cells, for the rest of his life will be my own stem cells. Because we are such a close biological match, my stem cells will accept him but they won’t accept the Leukemia cells because they are foreign to them. My stem cells will go in and attack and kill the leukemia cells.

Because Leukemia is a cancer of the blood, my stem cells will reconstitute his blood to my blood 🩸 He will eventually become O positive blood type like me and everything!!! I don’t fully even understand it all, It’s really just crazy awesome!!! It is really such a miracle to think 🤔 that God can give man the knowledge to be able to figure something like this out!!!! It’s amaaaaaaaZing with a capital Z!!!! I’m honored to be a part of something so phenomenal!!!

The whole process is pretty easy, although I was a bit uncomfortable, it was not unbearable and I would definitely do it again to help preserve another human’s life!!!

To join the bone marrow bank 🏦 you may think 🤔 why would anyone want to do this for a stranger??? Because If I ever needed one, because my match is my brother who can never donate to me because of cancer, I would have to depend on someone on the bank to be my match! If it was you or your child or your parent or your sibling, or spouse, you would be hoping and waiting for someone to be your loved 🥰 one’s match!!! Matching someone is a RARITY!!! But maybe there’s someone that needs you!!! It’s really simple to be a part of someone’s miracle!!!
