Anyone that knows me at all knows that one thing that I love, love, LOVE...is PARTIES!!! I LOVE attending them and I love planning them for my friends and family AND I LOVE for EVERYONE to come!!! Even though parties can be a lot of work at times, to me it is worth it! ONE thing I GREATLY DISLIKE is when I invite someone and then at the last minute they can't come!! Even though there are other people coming... I still feel disapointed!!! Of course i'm perfectly understanding to them, but in my mind i'm like, WHAT?!!?! How can you NOT come?! I'm thinking, Awwwwwww ...I don't care if your sick or if you have homework or WHATEVER!!! Just come!!! Cuz i've been waiting for you and preparing for you!!! I cleaned the whole house for you!!! I cooked soooo much food for YOU!!! Do you know JUST HOW MANY DISHES I had to wash?! I mopped! I swept! i vacumed! I dusted! (Okaaaay maybe I forgot to dust!!!;) I cleaned the bathroom TWICE this week!!!! I scrubbed the toilet for you!!! Wait did you hear me?! I said, I SCRUBBED THE TOILET FOR YOU!!!! And even though the party goes on and you still have a grand time, you can't help but think, "Man, I really wish Shashasha had been here...she really would have enjoyed herself...I know she would have LOVED my awesome chicken salad and my bbq meatballs...and ugh...I EVEN scrubbed that toilet for her...BUMMER!"
I think thats how we often make God feel. Psalm 23:5 says, "Though preparest a table before me..." Each and every day, God has prepared something for us. Whether its at church or through our prayer and devotion time, God has something that he wants to give to each of us every single day. We often come up with excuses, for WHY we are missing out on something with God. Sometimes they are good excuses, but most of the time they are pretty LAME...especially when you think about what all God did to prepare for us. It was more than just some toilet scrubbing...Jesus was nailed to a cross, went to the grave AND rose from the dead to prepare for us. Thats a lot of preparing to do just FOR US...and God wants to give us that something EVERYDAY!!! When we wake up in the morning, and we know its time to pray or for church, instead of moaning and groaning about it just think in your head, "Lets get this party started!!! Woot, WOOT!" Yeah I know i'm cRaZy but WHY miss out?! Your sick? Well...HELLO...This is A JESUS party and He just happens to be THE HEALER!!! Why make excuses to the one that has worked soooo hard and gave His WHOLE life for us... Everyday...PARTY with Jesus...lets JUST GO!!!
