I want to be like God!!!

We hear it all the time, BUUUUUT how can we everrr really be LIKE HIM???

How can we be like God???

Do you ever think about that? When you really think about THE ATTRIBUTES of God, how can we be like Him???

God IS eternal-he has no beginning and no end God is Omnipotent- all-powerful, God is omnipresent- everywhere at all times, God is omniscient- he knows everything, God is sovereign-control over everything that happens God is immutable-never changes, God is self-existing, God is transcending- unlike any other!

When you look at the above attributes of God, it seems like it would be IMPOSSIBLE to ever be anything like Him! I can't be eternal, I can't be omnipotent, no matter how much I can bench...heh, heh, I can't be omnipresent, altho there are probably some guys that that think I AM...BAHAHAHA*shout out to all the STALKERS in the house!!! ;) I'm not in control of much of anything besides this blog, so I can't be sovereign! I'm not omniscient, despite what you all think...JUST ASK MY TEACHERS!!!

I'm not immutable, trust me, I change my mind so often I can't keep track of who I like for the day, I usually have to ask my close friends who I'm crushing on!!! BAHAHA Obviously I'm NOT self-existing and transcending, weeeeeeeellllll IDK... I could almost say i'm unlike any other, buuuuuuuuuuuut, THERE'S WOOTON!!! HEE, hee!!!

However, there are some attributes of God that we can STRIVE to be like! God is good, God is just, God is merciful, God is gracious, God is faithful, God is righteous, God is holy, God is gracious, Did I mention God is good, OH YES, He is soooooooo GOOOOOD!!! We may not have all these attributes of God down, but we work on it daily!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd the last attribute of God that I want to talk about is LOVE!!! More than anything else, if you want to be like God, LEARN HOW TO LOVE!!! LOVE PEOPLE! My hearts prayer is to love like God loves! To Love people like he loves them! I pray, GOD, put YOUR LOVE in MY HEART!!! Love sinners, love saints, love your family, love your enemies, love your friends!!! This is an attribute that we can share with God. We can love! We can love! We can LOVE!!! God show me how to love,

I want to be like you God,

teach me how to love!!!

"That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God." (Ephesians 3:17-19)

The Votaws!!!

He has preached all over the US, China, Taiwan, the Philipines, Vietnam and many more Asian countries. He preaches in underground churches in communism countries. He converted a man on death row in prison to Christ and 3 hours before that man died he baptized him in Jesus name. He prayed the first man in Vietnam to kill and americn soldier through to the Holy Ghost and Baptized him in Jesus name. He has converted trinitartin preachers all over to the Oneness doctrine...BUT ABOVE all else...I thank God that I TOO am ONE OF THOSE souls he reached out too...he gave 7 years of his life to New York City!!! I thank God that he answered the call!!! It wasn't until his 6th & final year as pastor there, that our family came into church...we were there for 9 months before we came to AZ and then right after that the Votaws left NYC for the mission fields of Asia...I THANK God that someone had a burden for NYC!!!

This is the woman that invited my Momma to a Pentecostal church!!! She told me that she was actually new in the church herself and that she would see my mom in the front yard of our house playing with us kids and she just wanted so badly for my mom to have what she had just recieved herself. It may have been just one person that she was witnessing to at that time, but that one person has had an affect on her own five children and now its her Grandchildren that are still recieving the blessing of Sis. Kathy's witness. 25 years ago, it wasn't just my mom...I may have only been two at the time, but it was ME she was winning too! I thank God she wasn't afraid to be a witness and that she didn't give up on my mom. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:39) When you decide to live for God it doesn't just stop with you!
