Have you NOTICED my Ethiopian purse????

Sooooooooo I was telling one of my friends recently...

THE STORY BEHIND MY ETHIOPIAN PURSE!!!

Your thinking, really Mary, REALLY??? There's a story BEHIND YOUR PURSE!!! Yes REALLY people, REALLY!!! Let's just start off by saying that it was NOT love at first sight!!! Hee, hee!!! I just reread MY FIRST memory with this purse and realized that I ACTUALLY LIED about how I REALLY felt about this purse!!! Read it HERE!!! Maybe I was jus tryin to convince myself back then...AHAHAHA!!!

Soooooo it was for my 29th birthday that Hanna gave this purse! Annnnnd I think before she gave it to me she said that her dad had brought it back from Ethiopia and so she was giving it to me because it was from Africa and all that Jazz...

Sooooo when I first saw it I felt HORRIFIED because I honestly thought it was SUPER UGLY!!! buuuuut just for the record, NOT in like a HIDIEOUS way, just more like...BLAH...BORING...NOT MAR BEARISH!!! Lol but I used it for the next couple of days cuz she was there and I love Hanna!!! (Hope your NOT to shocked at my honesty if your reading this right now...LOVE YOU Hanna Banana!!! Purrrrr!!!)

Then I took the Ethiopian purse with me for the Heritage trip and it was pretty convient for traveling buuuut I didn't really want anyone to really SEE ME with it!!!! Lol I just felt like it was soooo NOT ME!!! It's plain and simple annnnd basically doesn't scream at you when you walk by! Haha!!! Plus the leather was super stiff... Buuuut I DID like the smell of the leather!!!

So for my everyday purse I've always used a wristlet cuz I tend to lose stuff if it's not attached to me! Well had used my Ethiopian purse that summer for to teach my lesson at VBS I was pretending that was this world explorer and was pulling all kinds a stuff from my purse as part of the lesson and the kids thought it was SUPER COOL that it really was from Ethiopia!!!

Anywayz, I had forgot to switch back and was using my Ethiopian purse to go visit a friend! Weeeeelll when she saw my purse she was like, WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THAT??? That is sooooo UGLY ANNNND IT IS SOOOO NOT YOU!!! Soooo I'm like, whateverrrrr!!!! A really good friend gave it to me and it's FROM Africa... annnnnd AFRICA IS ME!!! Sooooo there!!!

Weeeeellll then I started using it as my travel purse because it's a crossover, it's super conviant! Weeeeelllll when I traveled with it I ALWAYS got compliments on it! Weeeeeelllll that really started changing the way I felt about it BECAAAAAAUSE compliments are pretty much my LOOOOVE LANGUAGE!!! 😍BaHaHa

Plus it was sooooo NOT me that it really did draw more attention too it annnnnd ATTENTION is my SECOND LOVE Language!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA

Another one of my friends said it like this, its not you because it doesn't scream at you when you walk by, buuuut then because it was soooo NOT ME, it ACTUALLY DID SCREAM AT EVERYONE when they walked by!!!! If that makes any sense at all?!?!

Sooooo anywayz, I started using it all the time for traveling and then when I would return I started waiting longer and longer to switch back to my everyday black glitter wristlet! Then I'm not sure when buuuut I think when I returned from the bay in May I just never switched back to my wristlet! Annnnd now it's my EVERYDAY purse that I use all week long then I switch to a fancy purse on Sundays!!!!

Buuuuut yeah, I totally LOOOOOOVE IT NOW!!! The leather is aging nicely! It's like all soft and bendable!!! I loooove the fact that it's a crossover annnnnd if I ever feel it needs more color I can always jus spill some food on it!!! Ahahaha!!! It really is perfect for me cuz if you spill something on it, it doesn't really stain! You just wipe it off and the leather just absorbs up the rest... Like it eats it or something!!! Lol

It's MY MOST highly complimented purse of all time!!! Everyone always thinks it's sooo cool when I say it's from Ethiopia!! There is this girl one girl I know that has all these expensive purses BUUUUT she like LOVES my purse!!! She'll compliment me on it, then a few months later, I know I've already told you this buuuut I LOVE YOUR PURSE!!! She's like, if you ever decide... I'm like NOPE!!! Anyone can get a Burberry, buuuuuut...

Annnnd really it doesn't get ANY COOLER than when a man of God likes your purse!!! Annnnnd WHAT girl can say that random preachers ever complimented her on a Kate Spade or Louie-whatever purse...I highly doubt it!!! Jus sayin...BAHAHAHA!!!

The Votaws!!!

He has preached all over the US, China, Taiwan, the Philipines, Vietnam and many more Asian countries. He preaches in underground churches in communism countries. He converted a man on death row in prison to Christ and 3 hours before that man died he baptized him in Jesus name. He prayed the first man in Vietnam to kill and americn soldier through to the Holy Ghost and Baptized him in Jesus name. He has converted trinitartin preachers all over to the Oneness doctrine...BUT ABOVE all else...I thank God that I TOO am ONE OF THOSE souls he reached out too...he gave 7 years of his life to New York City!!! I thank God that he answered the call!!! It wasn't until his 6th & final year as pastor there, that our family came into church...we were there for 9 months before we came to AZ and then right after that the Votaws left NYC for the mission fields of Asia...I THANK God that someone had a burden for NYC!!!

This is the woman that invited my Momma to a Pentecostal church!!! She told me that she was actually new in the church herself and that she would see my mom in the front yard of our house playing with us kids and she just wanted so badly for my mom to have what she had just recieved herself. It may have been just one person that she was witnessing to at that time, but that one person has had an affect on her own five children and now its her Grandchildren that are still recieving the blessing of Sis. Kathy's witness. 25 years ago, it wasn't just my mom...I may have only been two at the time, but it was ME she was winning too! I thank God she wasn't afraid to be a witness and that she didn't give up on my mom. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call. (Acts 2:39) When you decide to live for God it doesn't just stop with you!
