About a month or so ago, I brought a woman and her kids with me to church and on the way to church she was telling me all about how the devil had been fighting her ALL night to come to church and all this drama that was going on in her life and how she KNOWS its just the devil! AND she just knows that there is gonna be a word for her today in the service and that's why the devil been fightin her to come, cuz he doesn't want her to HEAR THE WORD!!!

Well we get to the church, ON TIME FOR PRAYER and she says she's gotta get her kids ready, potty etc...she'll be in the church in a lil bit. Well prayer's over and church is about to start and I'm like, where in the world are they??? Finally church does start, i'm on the platform for praise singing the whole song service she isn't coming in, the whole time I'm just looking out into the audience for her to come in and I'm thinkin in my mind, IF you want your word from God, your going to HAVE TO ACTUALLY get YO SELF in to THE SANCTUARY sistah!!!

She did FINALLY make it into the church in time for the preaching, and I HOPE she got her word from God! However, it really got me to thinking about how we so often in life are just waitin for our word from God, and yet we just sit there, if you really want a word from God, you need to be getting yourself IN to the word of God!!!

How often do we say God talk to me! But we don't pray! God speak to me! But we don't listen to the preacher! God work on me! But we don't put ourselves on the potters wheel! God use me! But we don't have time to get involved! God bless me! But we're not willing to make any sacrifices! God make me more like you! But we ignore the spirit of conviction! God give us revival! But we're not able to make it to any extra church services. God give us souls! But we never invite people to church! God let me be a witness! But we never tell people about what he's done in our lives.

Its NOT enough to just SPEAK in faith, we've got to take some ACTIONS in faith!!! I just recently heard a story about two farmers. They both in faith, prayed for God to send rain so they could plant seeds in their field. However, one prayed to God for rain, and then just waited for the rain to come. The other prayed for rain and then went and PREPARED his field for the seeds he was going to plant after God sent the rain he had prayed for!!!

When we pray to God for something, we need to take some personal ACTIONS in faith to prepare ourselves for what we asked for. Not just, God give me this, PULEEEEEZE!!! But God, I know I've asked you for this, now WHAT do I need to do to PREPARE myself for what I've just asked you for. I emphasize that I am NOT talking about YOU trying to answer your own request to God, but YOU taking what ever actions in faith you can to prepare for God answering your request!

Bro. Lackey preached an amazing message at Conqueror's Conference called, "God Given Dreams!" At the very end he was talking about how God can give us a dream or a promise, BUT if we EVER take ourselves off the wheel while we're waiting, we can LOSE the God given dream! If God gives you a promise about something, that doesn't just give you an excuse to sit on the pews, you NEED TO DO SOMETHING!!! "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise." (Hebrews 10:36)

Its getting beyond just telling God, I want, I want, I WANT! And getting to the point of saying Ok God I already told you I WANT THIS, now what do I NEED TO DO for this to come to pass??? You KNOW what I want God, but I don't want to just sit like a lump on log, I'm ready to take some actions, WHAT DO I NEED TO DO??? Its NOT just WAITING for a word! Its NOT just speaking in faith, its WALKING in faith, its DOING in faith, its WORKING in faith!!!
