Ginty Thanksgiving 2017!!!

Weeeeeelllll Thanksgiving Day 2017 was ANOTHER AMAZINGLY AWESOME-FUNNNNN DAY!!!! It started off, as I previously told you all HERE, with the Fountain Hills Turkey Trot.

Then I went on a lil hike, my favorite go to place is at the end of 32nd street...

This year, I'm very excited about my two pies I made!!! I made a Pumpkin Pie...FROM SCRATCH...Like, I baked the pumpkins and scraped them out and EVERYTHING...the only thing that would have made this pie MORE home made was if I had grown the pumpkins and grounded my own spices!!! LOL It turned out GREAT, the only disappointment was my crust, I was trying something different than just boring O crust and made a pretzel-pecan crust, but I was NOT pleased with the results of that, I think I'll try a graham cracker crust next time!!! 

I also made a pie I had seen in Southern Living magazine called, "Over-the-moon-chocolate pie!" Its a someone what complicated and VERY rich pie, with four layers to it. First Graham crust, then marshmallow layer, then this rich chocolate concoction, then this amazing marshmallow merguine, it was soooooooooo GOOOOOOOD  you guys!!! And my official taste rater gave me a 9.5 out of 10...that's REALLY HIGH you guys!!! I will FOR SURE be adding this recipe to my vault!!!

Next the kids did a Turkey piñata that Aunt Theresa got for them all!!! 

Could we just take a second for a moment of silence for my Thanksgiving dinner outfit...I mean...I really LOOOOOOVED IT!!! My nephew was like, buuuuut Aunt Mary, I don't see Thanksgiving in YOUR HAIR!!! I was like, Ummmm...I ONLY have a whole entire FALL GARDEN ON IT!!! I mean, REALLY WE WANT MORE??? Buuuuuuuut I guess he was looking for a TURKEY, LOL!!! 

Then it was chow time!!! Of course we did our annual tradition of going around the table and saying what we're thankful for!!!!

ALL THAT FOOD, annnnnnd this is Odie's plate...NO TURKEY FOR THIS KID,  feasting on PRINGLES!!! 

Then we cleaned up and the kids did a GINGERBREAD turkey together!!! 

Then we all play FIBBERS together, which seems to be our official family game...

Annnnnnd of course I am very, very, VERY THANKFUL to be AUNT MARY!!!

Annnnnnnd I'm very thankful as well for my WHOLE FAMILY!!! One of my mom's final words to us all before she died, aside from first and for most loving God, was that we stay a family and that we love and be kind to each other, and for the most part, (OK WE'RE STILL HUMAN;) we've done that! Despite our differences, We're still a family and we still spend our holidays together!!! XOXO

To be honest with you all, my afternoon hyperness of running, hiking and coffee wore off and I was NOT in the mood for shopping...buuuut I still went, hee, hee!!! Check out my sweat shirt tho...it ACTUALLY LIGHTS UP...HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!?!

All in all, it was a GREAT DAY!!! Wait till you all see my PIZZA PARTY OUTFIT COMING UP SOOOOON!!!

He could have just given me bread and water, the boring O GYM and plain clothes and that would have been ENOUGH, He gave me ALL THE THINGS I NEED in such a fun and exciting way, I APPREIATE THAT!!! like the song goes, It would have been enough if he brought life, it would have been enough if he brought joy, it would have been enough if he brought peace, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut HE PUT LAUGHTER INTO MY SOUL!!!!

End of the week thankfulness!!!

I'm thankful for HIKING!!!! This evening I HIKED sooooo high up the mountain, I woulda gone higher buuuuuut it was getting to dark out, I figured it probably was unsafe! I pretty much hiked back in the pitch black...Oooops! LOL

My sis-in-law makes THE BEST!!!

Buuuuuut REALLy, I am just thankful for FILIPINOS!!! They pride themselves in being THE FRIENDLIEST ASIANS and truly THEY ARE!!! And with that being said about Filipinos,

I AM ALSO THANKFUL FOR A NEW FILIPINO FRIEND PEN-PAL...

I'm thankful for MY TWIN FRIEND!!!

Seriously, don't we look so much alike???

 Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd I'm superrrrr thankful for these adorable cherry sandals!!! I have been wanting them for soooooooooooo LONG and they were completely out of them EVERYWHERE!!! All stores and online and nothing on ebay OR Amazon, then LO AND BEHOLD, when I'm NOT looking, I see them at 75% off. they were soooooo CHEAP!!! Annnnnnd did I say I LOVE THEM???

 I'm thankful to Seth Cleveland and Pastor Abbott for putting on all new door handles, inside and out for me!!! It was getting a little rough makin everyone crawl in from the driver's side and it was EVEN ROUGHER buckling in babies...LOL!!!

 I'm thankful for this book, its been years since I had read it but it was so good to reread!!!

 This next book, "To Kill A Mockingbird" made me sooooooooo SAD!!! I am soooooooooo THANKFUL that we don't live in the 60's OR THE SOUTH!!! I'm thankful that we don't have a "White Store" and a "black store" Or a black church and a white church, and that we don't have to live in separate parts of town anymore!!!  I'm sooooo thankful that its no longer ILLEGAL for two people with different skin colors to marry each other!!!! I'm so thankful that a dark-skinned person doesn't have to always go out the back door! Yes, there is still so much prejudice and racism in this world, but I guess that's just another thing that makes me thankful for heaven, THERE WILL BE NO MORE PREJUDICE!!!

End if the week thankfulness!!!

Weeeeeeeeeelllll we can ALWAYS thank God for Cheesecake Factory, RIGHT??? Yes, WE CAN!!! Is there an amen i'm hearing anywhere in the house today???

Went there last Sunday for lunch with Joe and Anali and a few others from church!!! MY recommendation IS, the Bang-bang chicken ANNNNND the Mango-keylime cheesecake, not only is it awesome tasting, its very bright and cheerful looking as well!!! :)))

PAID OFF MY CAR LOAN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Letter from my nephew to Grandma!!!

I'm thankful that God's hand was on my brother John and his family!!! They woke up in the middle of the night one day this past week to the smell of smoke!!! It led them to the laundry room where they found smoke coming from the drier. After 911 came and hosed everything down, they said that if they hadn't woken up, the whole house could have taken to fire!!!

I got TWO refunds on my Starbucks card...YAAAAAAYYYY!!!

Annnnnnnnnnd I'm thankful that on Wednesday, I got a free Strawberry peach Ice tea from Dutch Brothers!! Might not seem like a HUGE thing, buuuuuut it did cheer me up at the moment!!!

I'm thankful that I didn't run out of gas yesterday!!! I have this HUGE problem with FORGETTING to fill up...and then I try to wait till I 'm at the CHEAPEST gas station and YEAH,  was like, IF I run out of gas in Glendale, My family is NOT gonna be cool with this!!!

I'm a sneaker girl, and I NEEDED NEW SNEAKERS...annnnnnnnnnnd...

God blessed me with these BEAUTIFUL, BRIGHT PINK, GIRLY-GIRL SNEAKERS!!! I modeled them for my brother and he said he had already seen them when he was driving a block away!!! LOL!

Only $26!!! Did I mention that they're PINK??? God cares about the little things!!! He really does!!!

A LOT OF BLESSINGS THIS WEEK!!! Thank you JESUS!!!
