Happy Foodie Friday!!! BEACH HOUSE TACO 🌮 REVIEW!!!!

Talk about an amaZing check mark on my foodie adventure list!!! I have driven by the Beach House many times and thought I HAVE TO GO THERE, but never made it there!!!! The fun hut vibes with a volkswagen van just jumped out and caught my attention buuuuut still i always just drove by and bookmarked it in yelp! BUUUUUUUUUT today was the day i FINALLY GOT TO TRY BEACH  HOUSE!!!
.

It went above and beyond all my expectations!!! This place has drool worthy tacos that was worth EVERY CALORIE!!!! I got three tacos for $7 and let me tell you it was delicious with a capital DELISH!!! I don't even like fish and fried fish taco was the star of my show!!! Coming in second was the carne asada taco and i was too full to try my chicken taco so i took it home for tomorrow! My niece who has allergies to protein got the cactus tacos and was blown away by the delicious , savory flavor of them!!!
I washed everything down with a frozen peach watermelon frozen lemonade which is just one of their many flavors to choose from!!!

The atmosphere was casual and fun with some major San Diego vibes! It is outdoors but despite the AZ weather, the misters and shades keep everything nice to eat at despite the weather. Shout out to John the owner for having such a great place to eat!

Keep up the deliciousness in flavor, prices and service!!!

#1 USA YELP WINNER!!!! (Resturaunt Review)

My Pastor's wife told us about this place after Friday night prayer, she had just randomly found it going on a food adventure with a friend...YES, my pastor's wife does FOOD ADVENTURES TOO...thats another thing that makes her soooooo AWESOME!!! ;) a few months earlier, AND NOW IT HAS BEEN VOTED THE #1 RESTURAUNT ON YELP IN THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!!! YUP, the whole entire USA and it's right here in PHOENIX!!!
.
The HILARIOUS part about this, is that it is a VERY uh...GHETTOLICIOUS part of Phoenix too!!! Buuuuuuut hey...all the good places to eat usually are...well...EXCEPT Cheesecake Factory!!!;) It was really funny to see these RITZY Scottsdale folks walking the blocks over...cuz YES it's that crowded, OVER to the resturaunt...liiiiiiike literally you know it was their good deed to just drive in the neighborhood!!! BAHAHHAHAHAHAAAA!!!
AnywayZ, on with THE REVIEW!!!
.
With a full stomach and jolly heart, I greet the people waiting in line for their party to be called and as I see them looking at their menus wondering what hey should get, I feel compelled to help them out!!!
.
THE STEAK TACOS ARE THE BEST!!! Thank you they say, That's what I'm getting" says one man... and you literally see the relief come over him with his decision finally been made and you hear other chimes of yeah me too, thanks!
.
As I get in the car my sister says, "did they just ask you what they should get?" "No," I say. "I didn't think so," she says in a very unimpressed-with-my-helping-random-strangers-what-to-order-voice. Buuuuuuut me, I just straighten my cape, knowing I did my part in helping make someone's food adventure the best experience possible!!!! ;)
.
You guys, I'm telling you all,
The Beef Tenderloin Steak tacos
are for sure the star of the menu!!!

I mean, pomegranate marinade, chipotle aioli, crispy fried jalapeños and onions, all in ONE TACOhow do you compete with that???? Weeeeeeelllll you don't!!! So El Pastor and Roasted veggie tacos just settle for being the delicious besties.

I love the fact that they allow you to mix and match the tacos so you can try three on one trip! I'm not a big seafood person buuuuuuut the tropical fish ones sound so good I'm considering trying one next time!!!!
.
They also have an option for us keto folks to get the tacos in a lettuce cup. Although I did NOT stick to keto this time around... cuz I mean... how can I write a really accurate review without trying those carbs... it's a sacrifice... buuuuuuut I do it for YOU ALL!!!!;) And next time, lettuce cups!!!!
.
For appetizers we got the house made chips and salsa and the street corn off the Cobb!!! Both were very good with lots of flavor. The salsa was neither mild or hot, just a little kick.
.
Shout out to our waitress Alexa, only her second day but you would've thought she'd work their forever. She was helpful, friendly and attentive! Your doing an excellent job, keep up the good work!!! (:

Two things you guys could improve on:

1. The rice and beans were just kinda eh! Kinda like the nice, buuuuuuut homely stepsister's of the delicious family!!! I really think you guys can do better with these two... I believe you can give these two a makeover and make them into the beauties they should be.

2. Give us the chips and salsa for free!!! I mean, come on you guys are #1!!! Everyone knows that the chips and salsa are supposed just come to us... that's part of being a Mexican restaurant!!!!! I knoooooow it's only $1.95.... Buuuuuuut still... free is better... jus sayin!!! And also MY SISTER said to make sure to say bigger cups of salsa!!! Although they do give you more salsa without an extra added charge, they're VERY SMALL...almost can't even fit a a bigger chip in them!

My sister got  the La Diabla chicken pasta and did not like it! Buuuuuuut she's really picky about spices and I think there was something Smokey in the sauce and she doesn't NOT like smoked anything! I tried it and thought it was very good though!!! I love that the noodles were flavored peppers!!!

Well everyone, make sure you purposely save room for the churros!!! You will be blown away!!!
Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and filled with cream and laid in caramel and a little pool of cream to dip them in case all that just isn't enough!
Well. It's been a few hours...
I think I'm gonna go take a bite of the leftover besties!!!
Asta Lavista amigos!!
(That was on Saturday, leftovers are LOOOOOONG gone by today...and it's like stepping out of a carb-a-licious ball and back to the LOW CARB reality...oh wait...I think I left my glass slipper there...except, I don't wear heels...it's more like Nikes or Uggs...and aint NO prince gonna bring me a taco an shoes cuz they've probably been pawned!!! AHAHAHAHAAA!!!)

♥Mary Frances :)
P.S. They do take reservations...buuuuuut on our hour lunch wait, we just went on another food adventure and got boba...Illl post that review NEXT week!!!

Foodie Friday! (Macy's Coffee House Review!)

Flagstaff, AZ

Do you like animals Mary??? Ummmmm...well i'm NOT really a pet person, buuuuuuuut...I love stuffed animals and juicy burgers!!! (Okay, ok, nobody throw anything at me...I would NEVER hurt a dog or cat...I'm just NOT a pet person! The hair, the drool, the smell, THE POOP...it's just NOT my thing! I'm a people person! A baby person! I value humanity so don't judge me until you have changed as many diapers,-old and young...as ME! Jus sayin;)
.
Sooooooooo what's a meat-lovin-girl like me doing 5-staring a vegetarian coffee shop???? Weeeeeeeelllll, that alone, the fact that a meat-loverrrr is floored by the taste and quality of the food at this shop, speaks for itself!!!
.
When i realized that this was a vegetarian coffee shop, despite the high ratings, i really hesitated to try it!!! However, the to-go line going all the way down the street lured me in!!!
.
The good news is that although they are vegetarian and vegan friendly, they do not competely disregard all dairy! It seems that they do use products that animals produce, they just don't use anything that kills a animal! Soooooooo REAL Cheese and REAL eggs !!!
.
All the baked products here were amazing!!! You have to get the biscuit with their homemade jam and butter!!! You have to get the grilled
cheese with pepper jack, cheddar, provolone, spinach, and onions!!!
.

Don't even get me started on all their epic desserts!!! WOW!!!

You must and i do absolutely mean, MUST,  get the Macy's Special house signature coffee drink!!! Omw it is soooooooo astoundingly, amazingly, deliciously good!!! It's like a Espresso, steamed hot chocolate- topped with a marshmalllowy-whipped-cream!!! and they have all homemade sauces and flavors!!! Annnnnnnd personally, I think it's one of those drinks thats just better hot!!!
.

The main downside to this place is that I've neverrrrr been in line for less than 45 minutes!!! Also, I would recommend that WHEN they use a meat substitute, that they say on the menu that it is a meat substitution. I read a lot of complaints about that in reviews. Not everyone realizes that it is a vegetarian coffee shop! If you say bacon, bacon lovers are expecting REAL BACON! For people like me that are willing to try something new, buuuuuut still wanna know what I'm putting inside of me! When you say, "Vegan" biscuits and gravy, I wanna know what is used in it instead of sausage!!! Jus sayin!!!
.

Can't wait for another break to head up to flagstaff!!! I hear a Macy's Special calling me for a sip of deliciousness!!! The 2.5 hour drive is worth every sip and every calorie!!!!! How amaaaaaazing will this drink be in COLD COOLER weather!?!?!?!

White Chocolate Grill!!!

I'm soooooooooo HONORED that a WHOLE entire resturaunt named themselves after ME!!! AHAHAHA!!! Get it??? White Chocolate Grill...ME...i'm WHITE CHOCOLATE...GET IT!?!?!?! Hee, hee!!! :))))
First of all, I just want you all to know that SUNDAYS are my splurge day, it always starts off getting up in time for Coffee and donuts at church...obviously, someone is feeling GUILTY and feels the need to EXPLAIN themselves...NO clue WHO that person is tho...Hee, hee!!!
.
ANYWAYZ, Tonight, Seth, Alyssa, Me, T, MJ and Stultz all went to White Chocolate Grill!!! If you all have NEVERRRR tried this place before and we've been planning this since July...I make everyone mark their calenders...ANYWHO,  it is AWESOME!!! After good church I was STARVING tonight, but I didn't want to get an actual meal cuz we HAD to get dessert...So I got the AZ egg rolls and it comes with this Jalepeno dipping sauce and salsa....it was sooooooooooo GOOD!!!  Everyone was really pleased with what they got...T got this French dip tri-tip sandwhich... Can't remember what everyone got buuuuuuut NO COMPLAINTS with out meals... Alyssa got these chicken enchiladas AND she ACTUALLY took home the leftovers...SOOOOO YOU KNOW SHE MUSTA LIKEDTHEM!!!
.
Theeeeeeeeen the EXCITING part...DESSERT TIME!!! Oh praise DA Lord...I looked at my dessert when the waitress gave it to me and said, GOD IS GOOD!!! Then I took a bite and said, GOD IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! The only people that were disappointed were poor Seth and Alyssa, they got the bread pudding...EWWW...unless your ALREADY a fan of bread pudding...which I don't know WHY anyone would be... I tried theirs and was like...wow I'm SORRY...sooo yeah...DO NOT GET THIS...LOL..UNLESS you LIKE BP!!!
.
Sooooo... T got the Banana cream pie and she said it was good, buuuuuuut she said my white chocolate blonde brownie was BETTER...I agreed with that...basically we all tried each others desserts and everyone agreed that my blonde brownie was the best, except Stultz said that his White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake was in a class of its own and I kinda have to agree...it was really like REFRESHING and summery tasting.
.
The only two desserts that we didn't try was the Apple Pie...Kinda doubt could better than mine ya know?!?! and Then the Silky Chocolate Souffle Cake A warm chocolate soufflé cake served with Crème Anglaise and whipped cream...for some reason we saw GLUTEN free under it and everyone was like, OH NOOOOOO...IT MUST BE HEALTHY OR SOMETHING!!! LOLOL Then I see the lady across the way from us with it and it did NOT look healthy at all!!! I was just like GAWKIN at it...Like LOOK ...THAT DOESN"T LOOK HEALTHY TO ME..til everyone told me to calm down...and MJ told me I was being creepy staring at her cake in shock!!! BAHAHA! Anywayz, I HIGHLY recommend the White Chocolate Grill to you all!!! There is ONLY one in AZ soooooo go HERE for more details!!
.
I've been really into planning for us to try NEW places!!! Recently, instead of going to our USUAL boring OLD Chilis EVERY time we have been trying NEW places!!! It started when they let Stultz pick where to go to eat one Sunday night, Next thing I know we are going to LONGHORNS...YUP... like any typical male, he chose a steakhouse...In July we tried Cheddars in Gilbert, Blue Adobe Grill right near our church, Sunday, August 24th, in between Sunday services we are trying Aunt Chiladas...According to Stultz, its THE BEST ever Mexican food...I'll let you all know if it beats CHEVY'S tho... THEEEEEEN, Sunday, September 7th, in between services, we are going to  Lolo's Chicken and Waffles....Guess who picked THAT??? Hee, hee!!! Sometimes you just GOTTA have some SOUL FOOD!!! Uh huh...MmmmmHmmm!!!
.
Two other places on my list for the future is the BBQ place that Stultz's dad was talking about on the fourth of July, can't remember the name buuuuut he said its THE BEST...Ooooo ANNNND Piggly's in Mesa...I heard that place is a lot of fun!  I was like OH annnnnnnd then there is this place called Black Bear Diner...
.
and Theresa and Alyssa were like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO that place is DISGUSTING!!!! I was like WHAAAAT???? Buuuuuut they have cuuuuuuuuuute bears EVERYWHERE THO!!! I really thought it was good food and had a homey feeling buuuuuuuuuut OKAAAAAY THEN...I gotta go with my peeps...sooooooo OKaaaaay THEN!!! Anywayz, if anyone has some good OR fun ideas for places to try LET ME KNOW!!! We're having FUNNNN!!! I'll keep you all updated on all our food adventures!!!
Anywayz, THIS was about THE WHITE CHOCOLATE GRILL don't forget to TRY it!!!

Resturaunt Food Review #1

Okaaaay soooooooo I have decided to start giving my opinon on resturaunts because I love going and trying new things and places. I thought I would delight you all with my not-so-humble opinion on the matters!!! ;)Soooooo here is the first one...
.
Grimaldi's Pizzeria
(Located in Old Town) www.grimaldispizzeria.comOkay after this first pic I got say right off that I was NOT impressed with the decorations!!! Blah, blah, blah!!!
.
The pizza was GOOD!!! Its a thin-crust, New Yorks style pizza. Very flavorful, but the crust was a little to hard. Overall...Mmmmm!
We got Italian sausage, with onions and ricotta cheese for toppings on ours...Nice!!!

Then for an apetizer we got some kinda antipasto stuff that you put on bread. It was kind good at the moment cause I was starving BUT not very flavorful and the bread was like dry. It was kinda weird the cheese and I gotta say I just wasn't digging it!!!

For dessert we got some cheesecake that was good, but not as good as my little brother's!! WHATEVER you do, don't tell him that I just said that!!! It will go to his head and he will get TOTALLY full of himself!!! (Kinda like me!!!;)

Sooooo overall what is my opinion of this place? It is good, but not OMW-SOOOO-DELICIOUS!!!! If I was given another gift card or someone wanted to take me there I would soooooo go!!! But until this is the way I feel...
As our cute, blond-haired, dimple-cheeked-server, handed us our cheesecake, I smiled sweetley and said,
"You guys are ALMOST as good as NYPD!!!" He said, "ALMOST?!?!" I said, "ALMOST!!!" ;)

*Check it out!!! www.aznypdpizza.com
