When there's still roots (Part 2)

Last week, I talked with you all about how our grapefruit tree was blown over in a rainstorm but how BECAUSE there was still roots in the ground from the tree, a new tree has begun to grow in place of the old one. Refresh your memory with When There's Still Roots Part 1, today I want to talk to you all about part 2 of this aspect. Last week we saw the positive aspect of what can happen when you still have roots in a good thing, something new will begin to grow from it.

However, while roots in something that is good will bring forth something new that is good, when something bad is cut out of your life, if you have roots in something bad, something new, that is bad will once again begin to grow. It's good to cut out bad things in our life. Ungodly influences, worldly lusts, carnal desires, but check yourself, you have to do more than just cut down the tree, you have to get down to the heart of the issue. You may have cut the item out of your life, buuuuuuut did you also dig out the roots?

If you find yourself struggling over and over again with the same thing, perhaps its because you never dug out the roots. The roots of the issue must be completely dug out and destroyed, never to grow back again in another form. Search your heart today, ask God to show you if there are any roots in your heart that need to be dug out! 

If there is something, 

GET THE SHOVEL,

 it's time to start digging!!!

Convenient Rules!!!

There's a little boy I watch that LOVES to play games AND he LOVES to make up new rules to add to the game, AS LONG AS these rules work FOR HIM, he's happy!!! Buuuuuut the moment one of these rules go against him and it means he loses a turn or he's out, weeeeeelllll let me tell you something everything goes DOWN and then he wants to change the rules yet AGAIN!!! He only likes rules as long as they are CONVENIENT for him.

Convenient means: fitting in well with a person's needs, activities, and plans. However, there is really no such thing as a convenient rule, a rule is SUPPOSED to be a rule, NO MATTER WHAT!!! However, our president seems to like, CONVENIENT rules!!! Therefore, gay marriage is now legal in every state...

 

 

However, although people have pushed their agenda through, they can NEVER push they're agenda through to change God's laws! It doesn't matter if TWO people of the same gender THINK they are married, in God's eyes, they are STILL just two sad people living in sin!!!

.

And just because my country has passed another law that I do NOT agree with, this does NOT mean that I am no longer proud to be an American! I STILL love my country and I still believe this is THE BEST country there is to live in!!! Yes, Bishop Abbott, you have taught me well about this my whole life!!! :)))

.

If you think about it, this NOT the first thing our country has done that we don't agree with. Starting out with something early, early on was SLAVERY!!! Yes, owning another human being was once LEGAL in this country!!! And now more recently there are other things...Alcohol, pot, divorce...

.

 In 1973, ten years before I was even born, it became legal in this country to KILL YOUR BABY!!! Yes, that IS what abortion is, its ending the life of your unborn baby...I can't imagine how saddening this must have been for so many people!!! How can you say its OK, to kill your baby...its A BABY!!!

.

However, just because American government is pushing thru convenient laws, this does NOT mean that the laws of God are changing!!! Sin is sin is sin is sin is SIN!!! If your wondering what sin is, sin is do anything that goes against the laws of God.

I've never been more disgusted than in my college "Marriage" class!!! They talked about EVERY kind of marriage and relationship possible other than just a man and woman vowing to love each other FOREVERRR!!! They talked about, open relationships, polygamy, second marriages, gay, transgender oh you name it and they talked about it!!!

.

One day we were divided into two sections to have a class debate on gay marriage... they were all like, well if two people love each other that's all that matters...well I decided to bring out a very valid point...what if someone decides they love their dog???? Everyones like, that's GROSS!!! I'm like, weeeeeeelllll buuuuuut if they love each other!!! They were like, yeah but that's not NORMAL!!! I'm like YEAH, and neither is GAY MARRIAGE!!! There is NOTHING normal about two men getting married!!! You can't just marry anything, what if someone wants to marry their stuffed animal or a sibling???  You can't just decide what marriage is, GOD DOES!!!

Mr. President, you may have decided to change the rules because they were no longer convenient for you, buuuuuuuuuuut in God's eyes they're STILL THE SAME!!! You might be powerful, buuuuuut your NOT more powerful than MY GOD!!! Yes, that's right, GOD, the one that this country was founded on!!! You'll NEVER change God's rules!!!

PARTY TIME!!!

I wish you all could have seen me the other day. I was sooooo EXCITED!!! I was bouncing off the walls. My heart was exuberanltey filled with JOY!!!!!!! It was overflowing out of me...I COULD NOT STOP SMILING!!! Oh MAN!!! I was soooooooooooooo HAPPPPY!!! My sis kept looking at me...she's like oh WOW!!! You have THAT look in your eyes!!!  ITs the look I get when I'm off in my own world...daydreaming...and you can be talking to me...having a conversation with me...and I have ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOOOOOO IDEA what you are saying...even tho I am talking with you!!! HAHAHA!!! My sis is like now dont be surprised if it doesn't happen yet, you might have to wait a little bit longer!!!

The answer...

I hold her in my arms, and my heart breaks at the recent news that I have heard about her. I remember when she was born...I held her in my arms...and admidst all the sin and chaos surrounding the two of us...this little newborn and I had one thing in common that no one else around us had...

we were both pure.

Now here she is, a couple years later, that same little baby girl,  I hold her in my arms and love her...and then I go home and I cry...because what we had in common is gone. At only two-years-old, this precious little baby girl is no longer pure and at 28-years-old, I still am. The sad, twisted irony of the situation troubles my heart...so thankful that God has kept me, yet so devestated that a little child has already been corrupted and tainted by sin. I bury my face in the ground and I cry and I cry and I cry.

Another cRaZy Wednesday!!!

Recently, I started a series of lessons about stink...you DON'T even wannna know how my class inspired me with these lessons...LOL!!! It's pretty crazy what God can use to provoke one's mind...but anyhow. Last weeks lesson was on When Life Stinks...but this weeks was on What is that Smell?!?! So the lesson starts off with me talking about how we all have a stink in our life. (Sin is the stink in our life) I am talking about how we all have this stink, this smell! It doesn't matter who you are blah, blah, blah...
.
Then I say, everyone turn to your neighbor and say, "Girl, YOU STINK!!!" Soooooo they turn to each other with TOTAL attitude and are just like "Girl, YOU STINK!!!" Then I say NOW smell YOURSELF and SAY, "Ewwwwwww I SMELL!!!" Sooooooo at first they are like what? We don't smell... then they start smelling themselves and they are like, MAN!!! I REALLY do smell!!! Ewwww!!! EWWW!!! Awwww NASTY!!! Soooooooo everyone is like smelling themselves AND OMW it did smell!!! LOL Like the BO was just flowing wildy at this point... and I was like Aw MAN, I had forgotten that this would happen...
.
So I am trying to gain control but at this point EVERONE is like gagging from their OWN BO...I am like okaaaaaaay, okaaaaaaaay, okaaaaaaaay lets get on with the lesson!!! AND they are like NO Sis. Mary, YOU DON'T understand, we smell SOOOOOOOOO bad we can't even concentrate. So in the middle of class, I have to break out my perfume and spray EVERYONE'S arm pits before the lesson could go on!!! I am like OMW is this like normal?! Do other SS teachers have to do this?!?!
.
Soooooo finally we continue on with the lesson. I tell the story of King David sinning...blah, blah, blah...bible scriptures...etc...LOL So I am closing up talking about repentence. Repentence is the only way we can get rid of the stink in our life...blah, blah, I am ending the lesson...Repenance is like a bath for the soul. It’s like you let God get inside of you and srub out ALL the dirt in your heart...
.
Then ever so casually I add in, AND you know in our PHYSICAL life baths take away the stink too!!! If you wanna smell good you gotta take a bath!!! Soooooo ummmm, is everyone like, gonna take a shower tonight?!?! It's kinda silent for a minute then someone says, "Maybe, BUT probabley NOT!!!" I am like yeah, thats what I kinda figured!!! Needless to say, I love them anyhow...AND Thank God for Bath and Body works 75% clearance sales! Its a fun life being me!!! :)
