What the devil can't do!!!

I was thinking about what ALL that the devil will do take away someone's testimony. I was thinking about when people leave church or mess up their lives in the world. I was thinking about ALL that the devil can do to mess somebody up. The devil can take away our joy and our happiness. He can take away our innocence and purity and corrupt our minds. He can take away our peace of mind and hope for our future... He can take away our morals and ethics and righteousness. He can take it ALL AWAY...and leave us empty and broken...he can do all that...IF you let him...

 .

BUUUUUT WHAT THE DEVIL CAN'T DO

BUT despite ALL that the devil CAN take from you, there is ONE THING that the devil CAN NEVER take from you!!!! What he can't EVER take away from you, is WHAT GOD HAS ALREADY DONE FOR YOU!!!!

 .

The devil wants to ruin you. He wants to destroy you. He wants make you think that you can't make it. That you've backslid, you've failed God, your turned your back on God so why even bother. Why even keep trying? He wants to take away what God's done for you...BUT he can't. The devil can't ever change what God has ALREADY DONE!!!  

 .

If you have ever obeyed Acts 2:38, repented of your sins, been baptized in Jesus name, YOUR SINS were washed away and the devil can't EVER change that!!! God has already FORGIVEN YOU!!! He has already filled YOU with the HOLY GHOST!!!  He has ALREADY brought you salvation!!! He has already redeemed YOU!!! There is NOTHING the devil can ever do to change that!!! He can tempt you to sin, but he can't take away what God has already done for you, because, God ALREADY did it.

 .

What it comes down to ultimately is one thing...CALVARY!!! It doesn't matter what you do or what you have done or what anyone says...the devil can NEVER take away CALVARY!!! Jesus has ALREADY died for YOU! Jesus already paid the price for every sin ever committed. He already took our place and became our sacrifice and there is nothing, nothing, NOTHING the devil can ever do to take that away!!!

Big miracles!!!

Last Sunday after Jubilee service, Kim went out to eat with us all at Cheesecake Factory. Sooooo while we're sitting there waiting to be seated, I'm telling Kim about all the visitors we had our church that morning and as I'm telling her about that, one of my friends from a home missions church in Cali was texting me about all the visitors THEY had that morning! So i'm like telling Kim and she's like, You know what Mary, I don't even want to hear about it because I WANT this happening at MY CHURCH!!!

 She's like, MARY, I told my pastor that I WANT TO SEE THE MIRACLES AT OUR CHURCH!!!! She's being totally dramatic, Where are they Mary??? WHERE ARE OUR MIRACLES??? Before I could even say anything my sis speaks up, Miracles at YOUR CHURCH KIM??? I think they just got a pretty big one!!! Kim's like, HUH??? T's like, YEAH...

YOUR BACK!!!

 I'm like YEAH booyah GIRRRRRL what are  you talking about, that right there is a MIRACLE!!! Ahahahahahahahaha!!! It may not seem like a miracle to some, buuuuut to ME its a miracle!!! My Kimmy Kat being back in church is MY MIRACLE!!! If you could only know the tears I cried and wept praying for my friends salvation...Yes, its a MIRACLE!!! My God is a prayer answering God!!!

 The Bible says in John 14:12 "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father."

.When you think about all the things that Jesus did, its rather perplexing, what could we possibly do that is even greater than devils being cast out or raising a man from the dead???

 Buuuuuut something GREATER did happen!!!

"And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

 

What could possibly be greater than a life being restored from ruin and death??? The ONLY thing greater would be to have THE VERY GOD, our creator, our healer, our restorer, our resurrection, our redeemer, our Jehovah, our SAVIOR, LIVING INSIDE OF US!!! So often we question and wonder, where are the miracles like we read about in the Bible days??? We read about them, But what about NOW???

Bishop Abbott has always taught us this one thing, there is NO GREATER MIRACLE than when someone receives THE HOLY GHOST!!! When a life is transformed a life is transformed!!! Yes, the gift of the Holy Ghost is INDEED the greatest MIRACLE any of us could ever experience!!! If you wanna see a miracle, just find another person that needs the Holy Ghost and then WATCH them as they receive it!!! Look NO FURTHER MY FRIENDS!!! You want a miracle, just get JESUS living inside of you!!!

You wanna see miracles Kim???? BIG MIRACLES??? Just look in the mirror Kimmy Kat!!!

A reminder!!!

I was riding to Bible College with my friend Kim a couple of months ago and I went to reach out an turn on some music and I was greeted with this BIG empty space instead!!!

I just busted up LAUGHING!!! I was like OMW KIM!!! WHAT IN THE WORLD HAPPENED??? Where's YOUR RADIO???? She's like OH YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENED...my car gotten broken into and someone stole my radio...which being the WONDERFUL, GOOOD friend that I am, ONLY made me laugh EVEN HARDER!!! :D

.

She's like I think its payback for the life I used to live, God wants me to know what its like to have my car broken into and my car radio stolen...She's like I mean, I SURE do know HOW to take a radio OUT of a car, BUUUUUT don't ask me HOW to put one IN!!!  (LOL!) She said so yeah I think God's just letting me know how it feels, You know, you reep what you sow. I said yeah,  that might be part of it, buuuuut...MAYBE, JUST MAYBE God just wants to remind you.

She's like, what do you mean? I said, maybe God wants you to see that the world is still bad its still evil and its STILL full of SIN. I said THINK ABOUT IT...there are still desperate people, living in sin, addicted to drugs, cars being broken into, things are being taken, auto  theft taking place EVERYDAY!!! BUUUUUT...YOUR NOT the one stealing cars anymore...NOW its somebody else that is stealing!!!

"Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God." (1 Corinthians 6:9-10)

The world will go on doing evil, BUT once God touches you, EVEN when you do fail, once His fingerprints have been imprinted on your heart, YOU WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!! I said, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE... God just wants to remind you that...

your NOT what you once were.

 "And such were some of you:

but ye are washed,

but ye are sanctified,

but ye are justified

in the name of the Lord Jesus,

and by the Spirit of our God."

A scented rose....

Sooooo I LOVE roses!!! Roses are absolutely BEAUTIFUL!!! BUUUUUT have you everrrr noticed that there is a HUGE difference between...

 store bought roses and...

home-grown roses???

 .

We have some absolutley BEAUTIFUL roses in our front yard!!!

Oooooo I just LOOOOVE to go out front and take in their lovely scent!!!

Buuuuuuut YOU JUST CAN'T do that with store bought roses!!! For some reason, store bought roses have no scent...which to me, makes them slightly less beautiful! Now don't get me wrong, They're STILL beautiful, just NOT AS BEAUTIFUL!!! I can't help but wonder WHY??? WHY don't store bought roses have a scent??? Are they FAKE??? Nope, they're not fake...they are REAL!!! Touch them, hold them, look at them...THEY ARE REAL ROSES...buuuuut...they have NO SCENT!!!

Sooo, being the incredibly studious person that I am...I decided to do a research paper on the matter...AND...NOT...I googled it online...LOL...and according to GOOGLE the reason WHY store bought roses no longer have a scent is BECAUSE...over time the rose fragrance was bred out of them so that they could grow crop that would last longer!

.

This really got me to thinking about us as Apostolic Christians!!! that I think that sometimes, we get SOOOO Apostolic looking, that we forget our scent. Don't get me wrong, we're REAL Apostolics, we believe Duetoronomy 6:4, ONE GOD, Jesus name baptism, we have NO DOUBT about our doctrine, we believe holiness through and through...buuuuuut somwhere a long the way, we either forgot or NEVER really discovered our Apostolic scent!!!

OUR TESTIMONY!!! It doesn't matter if your 4th generation Apostolic, or if you were raised by a drug addict...We've ALL GOT A TESTIMONY and we need to know it!!! When I was a baby I was sprinkled in baptism by a Catholic priest, the titles father, son, and Holy Spirit called over me....buuuuuuut I THANK GOD...that there was a man with a burden for NYC that brought THE TRUTH to my Momma!!! AND when I was 6-years-old, I was filled with the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and REBAPTIZED in immersion of water, IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST!!! Just like the Bible says in Acts 2!!! Thats my scent!!! Thats my aroma!!! And I don't ever want to stop smelling of it!!!

I hope, that I don't ever become SOOOOO APOSTOLIC, that my Apostolic scent is bred out of me!!! I want my [future] children to one day know, they may have been born into this, BUT THEY were born SINNERS...destined to hell...BUUUUT... Jesus died for their sins!!! God did something for them!!! And THEY HAVE A TESTIMONY!!!

We've all got a testimony and when we know our testimony and we share our testimony, thats when we go from just being JUST a rose to being a scented rose. Not only are we different on the inside and on the outside, but there is a savor, a smell that comes off of us. People will want to be around us more than others, simply because we can't shutup about the Goodness of God!!!

Are you JUST A ROSE???
