Break-up scripture!!!

Soooo i've come to the conclusion that I am pretty much the ONLY person I know that can be sittin there, intently readin the Bible and just BUST UP LAUGHIN!!! Now, don't think that I am makin light of God's word, but I sometimes I just can't help but find HUMOR in it!!!  Yes, I admit, amongst my notes written on the page edges of my Bible are a few, LOL's...I mean, come on, sometimes God just makes you laugh!!! :)))))

So several years ago, we're on our way home from a youth conference one time and its pretty silent in the van. There are a few people quietly havin conversations and everyone else is just dozin in an out of sleep and I just burst into laughter and everyone looks at me and someone is like WHAT ARE YOU READIN??? I'm like, Oh the Bible!!!

Preserving your youth!!!!

How to stay young??? In the world that we are living in today, people will do ANYTHING to try and stay young! They diet, they excercise, they have face lifts, tummy tucks, lipo, they dye their hair to cover the grays, they try and use makeup to cover wrinkles, They hang out at clubs, party, drive fancy cars, get drunk, get high, they wear clothes they shouldn't wear, they'll try just about ANYTHING to try and stay young, but NOT really obtaining their desire!!! But REALLY how can  you STAY YOUNG???

This past week at A Mountain Apart Youth Camp, we all had some good laughs about my actual age and the fact that I was hanging out with people that were in reality, WAAAAAAAY younger than me!!! The last night, Sis. Devi walked into our room and was like WOW, you girl's is room is A MESS!!! 

Without missing a beat Delora says, "Well YOU KNOW, its just a bunch of teenagers...

 AND A 29-year-old...

 that are staying in here!!! 

Annnnnnnnnnd we all laughed really HARD!!! Buuuuuuuut it got me to thiinking about YOUTH!!! I mean, I know I was the oldest camper there, yet I didn't feel awkward or like I didn't fit in! The girls that I hung with the young people I was hanging out with the most, that I considered, the OLDER young people, were the ones that were 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds and then there was basically a HUUUUUUGE gap in the years  to me...buuuuuuut I honestly didn't think about it when we were all goofing off and having fun together!!! I mean, despite the age difference, we were basically all at that same point in life. Graduated from high school, working a job, living for God, waiting and seeking the will of God for our lives...I understood and connected with them on the same level.

I saw this quote today and I was just like OMW... what a GREAT IDEA!!! AHAHAHA!!! Cuz I mean like, I don't how to play all the games, Hard-to-get or, flirt or ignore or WHATEVER...I've tried it all and NOTHING ever works...Idk how to do all that stuff...I'm just like what you see is what you get!!!

BLonde driving moment!

Okaaaaaaaaay sooooo I knew that our trip to A Mountain Apart Youth Camp was going to be INTERESTING, before we had EVEN ARRRRRIVED at the church where the youth were all meeting...

Sooooooo we're on our way to the church, Me, my sis, MJ and my mom is driving us. We are ALMOST there, like seriousley less than half of a more mile on Shea before we turn. WEEEEEEEEELLLLL... ALL OF THE SUDDEN...this MINI VAN comes flying past us like TOTALLLLLY SPEEDING and honking the horn at us.

I was like OMW...it like totally spooked me and made me jump in my seat. We're like WHO in the world is THIS cRaZy driver...weeeeeellll it turns out it was Jac and it was seeming like she wanted to race us to the church.

My mom was like OH THAT IS RIDICULOUS the way she is driving and she is going on about and I was just sittin there thinkin like, OKAAAAAAAY I don't think it would hurt us to ACTUALLY be doing the SPEED LIMIT!!! (Haha) Soooo we just keep going our slow and steady pace and we're about to turn the corner of Shea to our church WHEN...

Jac's van starts slowing down and she is all flashing her lights at us and my mom is like, OH I think something must be wrong with her van. My sis is like, NOPE she's just being dumb again keep driving! AHAHA! Soooo my mom is like NO I really think something is wrong...I'm like Naw mom she is probabley just hyper or something so my mom is like NO MARY CALL HER!!! I'm just FOR REALZ?!?! Mom who cares she just blew past you...she is like MARY CALL HER!!! Sooooooooo I CALL HER Annnnnnd...

She answers her phone and i'm like MY MOM wants to know if everything is ok?! So Jac is like, okaaaaaaaaaay your gonna laugh at me buuuuuut I just ran out of gas! I was like whaaaaaaaaat LAUGH?!?! I was HYSTERICAL!!! She had totally blown past us ONLY to run out of gas before getting to the final destination. BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

My mom and sis was like whats going on? I'm like, SHE RAN OUT OF GAS!!!! My sister was like HYSTERICAL and my mom was just sittin there shaking her head! Soooo since our van was full of people ANNNND luggage...my mom dropped us off at the church then turned around and got Jac!!!! AND THAT my friends is the begginning of our trip to A Mountain Apart Youth Camp! 

Soooooooooo the moral of THIS STORY IS: 

IF your going to race somebody on the freeway, NOT that I everrrr would OR that I would reccomend it, buuuuuuuuuuut IF your gonna be cRaZy and race someone, FIRST OF ALL, make sure it is NOT their mom driving the car and second and MOST important of all...

MAKE SURE YOUR NOT GONNA RUN OUTTA GAS!!!

We all had such a blast last Sunday night at Texas Roadhouse...Discussing Adventure's in Odyssey....and trying to hook EVERYONE up with SOMEONE...LOL!!!  I LOVE walkin into a resturaunt and everyone says, OH WOW you all look sooooooooo NICE!!! Did you just come from a weddin? A Dance? NO! NO! We just got outta CHURRRRRRRCH!!! Its soooooooooooo AWESOME to be able to say that!!! LOVE IT!!! ♥
