Ugliest Christmas Sweater!!! LOL

Okaaaaaaaay so i'm like a HUGE fan of Ugly Christmas Sweaters...theyre just SO FUNNNNN!!! And I love being festive!!! Sooooooooooo I have to that this was pretty much the funniest-non-award-winning ugliest Christmas sweater everrrrr!!!

Juuuuuust SOOOOOOO HILARIOUSLY WRONG!!! AHAHAHA!!!! I don't think they should have kicked him out, I mean come on, have a sense of HUMOR!!!

Oooooooo that's a REALLY TOUGH ONE!!! I mean, EVERY GIRL WANTS TO BE TOLD SHE IS BEAUTIFUL RIGHT?????? Buuuuuuuuuut After thinking really long and hard about this I THIIIIIIIIIINK I have to say MY COOKING!!!

WHY???

Because my looks are really NOT an accomplishment of mine and I really don't have a WHOLE LOT to do with them, BUUUUUUUUUUT cooking is something that I have worked hard on and when I cook I put my heart into it so if you compliment my cooking your complimenting an achievement of mine where as my looks are just whatever they are and I had NOTHING to do with it!!!

And liiiiiiiiiiiike you guys have NO IDEA how sad I am inside when my food doesn't get eaten!!! Liiiiiiiike it's like stomping a little on my heart!!! It's pretty much the same equivalent to a guy I like, choosing another girl over me!!! When people eat SOMEONE ELSE'S DESSERT OVER MINE, I might not show it, buuuuuuuuuuut INSIDE MY HEART IS SOOOOOOOOO DISAPOINTED!!!! Sooooooooooo back in December, we went to go Hale theatre to see this murder mystery play and to be honest it was actually kinda scary...weeeeelll honestly the music was the scariest part, buuuuuuuuut RIGHT at the end the murderer comes into the room and it's PITCH BLACK and this really eerie music comes on and the murderer is holding a knife up to the girl... and Odin is sitting next to me and i'm thinking oh i hope he isn't to scared cuz i'm feeling scared, so I hold on to him to comfort him and he's liiiiike....SOOOOOOOOOO LOUDLY...pointing to the murderer THAT IS HOLDING A KNIFE TO THE LADY...

 So a few years ago, newer in church couple were remodeling our front bathroom, him and his wife were breaking for lunch and we were all listening to Odyssey's together! (I told them that's how you know your officially PENTECOSTALIZED, when you start listening to AIO! Anywayz, we're listening to the latest, Album 67, part 2 of Nightmare's by Constance, and they're all feeling sorry for this chick cuz her fiancé got arrested the morning of their wedding! Jason, Connie and Jillian are all talking and Jason says, she was supposed to be waking up to the best day of her life and it's turned out to be the worst!

So I'm at Starbucks with my laptop today writing and THE FUNNIEST THING EVERRRR happened!!! I got up to use the restroom and there was a man walking in front of me to the restroom as well, men and woman restrooms were located right by each other...

and the man walks into the men's and then waits and holds the door for me, my hand is on the woman's about to open it, but he's just stand there all gentlemanly like waiting for me...

I mean GENERALLY SPEAKING, I really appreciate it when a man holds the door open for me, it's very kind and considerate of them, I always smile and say thank you, BUUUUUUUT...this is THE DOOR TO THE MEN'S ROOM HE IS HOLDING FOR ME...i dont wanna be rude buuuuuuuuut... lol...i just kinda pause and smile at him and continue to open the ladies room...in that moment he realized what he was doing, his face turned red and we both busted up laughing!!! It was HILARIOUS!!! *Chivalry-sigh!!!

THE CASE OF THE MISSING KATE SPADE SHADES!!!

Sooooooooooo my sister had gotten me these ADORABLE glittery, Kate Spade sunglasses for Christmas one year!!! I gave her only like A MILLION AND ONE hints that they were what I really wanted! I was pretty sure she was going to get them for me, buuuuuuuuut I wasn't sure if she had gotten them, I searched her room and closet for them and could NOT find them...it was kind of a mixed feeling, cuz I WANT TO BE SURPRISED with my gifts, buuuuuuuuuuuut I also want to know, buuuuut I want to be surprised too!!!

 Anywayz, much to my dismay, I did NOT find them, soooooo I was SURPRISED on Christmas morning!!! YAAAAAAAYYYY!!! I looooove being surprised, buuuuuuuut I'm pretty much IMPOSSIBLE to be surprised, because I'm ALWAYS WATCHING and paying attention even when it seems like i'm NOT, I really am!!!! I notice EVERYTHING!!!

Anywayz, I ADORED MY GLASSES!!! 

They’re on my Christmas Present 🎁 Favorites list along with yellow beach cruiser bike and OF COURSE my favorite of all time, MY BLACK BABY DOLL… oh wait that was my 5th BIRTHDAY 🥳 , NOT Christmas!!!

I've worked really hard with taking care of them and NOT losing or misplacing them!!! Every time I take them off, I carefully put them in their case!!! Weeeeeeeelllll one day I was out shopping and I forgot to put them in the case before I got out of the car. Instead, I put them on top of my head and walked into Ross! I was on a hunt for a BLACK FUR VEST!!!

Well after trying on several things, and NOT finding what I was looking for. I headed back out to my car. I got in, put the keys in the ignition, started the car, started blasting my Jesus music(The Abbott's CD, you guys NEED to get it!) As I'm bumping to my music about to back out, I reach on my head for my adorable-glitter-pink-gold sunglasses and gasp, they're NOT THERE!!! 

WHERE ARE THEY!?

I reach into my pocket,

I'm more than disappointed with them being missing, disappointed is when a kinda cute guy flirts with you one time, then ignores you THE NEXT TIME he sees you, that's disappointed!!! Buuuuuuuuuuut, life goes on!  “Ain't nobody got time to dwell on it...there's always more cute guys, buuuuuuuuuuuuut THIS, this is MY ADORABLE-GLITTERY-GOLD-PINK-KATE-SPADE-SHADES!!! Years ago, I had a guy friend that was explaining a conflicting situation he was in with another young lady. He said, she wanted him to meet her at a coffee shop to just discuss something as friends. He didn't feel like this was a good idea because it may give people the wrong impression of them being in a relationship. Apparently the girl was insistent, etc...Now he was asking for MY ADIVCE!!! AHAHAHAAA!!!

FOUR YEARS LATER...

Sooooooo four years later, us in the youth group were all riding in a mini van to a youth conference. We got to talking and of course we all started telling funny, "Remember When..." stories!!! Eventually someone was like, Hey Mary, remember when that one guy (We’ll leave out his name just to be good and don't worry this guy is NOT around anymore so it's not like he's going to be reading this and even if he did-if you knew him you'd understand that it REALLY doesn't even matter-you would JUST HAVE TO KNOW HIM to understand!!! LOL) gave you that $100 for your birthday???

 I'm like, Oh yeah, and I threw it away 🚮because it was hidden behind the picture of us, in a frame that I didn't want, ANNNNNND all of the sudden I got a crush on him, they're like, buuuuuuuuuut when the MONEY WAS GONE, SO WAS THE CRUSH!!!!

.

So we're all like laughing hysterically, DON'T WORRY, The guy wasn't with us!!! (I think he was long gone at this point!) So one of the guys, MARK was like, I don't think I've ever actually heard this story before! We're like, WHAT??? So we retell him the whole story and now Mark's laughing with us, then he's like...

.

Soooooo when did this happen??? We're like, oh quite a few years ago, right before they all went on that missions trip! Mark's like, WAIT, right before THAT ONE GUY left for that trip, he asked me if  he could borrow $100! We're all like, HE DID? He's like, Yeah, he said he was short $100 and really needed it for the trip! We're like, oh so did you let him borrow it??? He's like, Yeah, I mean, he was going to do The Lord's work, I didn't want him to be short so I gave him $100 to borrow...

.

I'm like, and he gave ME $100 for my birthday gift...that's soooo ironic...THEN IT ALL CLICKED...I'm like, WAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIT...

.

That means that the $100 dollars he gave me for my birthday, he ACTUALLY BORROWED FROM YOU MARK??? He's like, well I guess...that's what it looks like...We were like, HYSTERICALLY LAUGHING SOOOOOOOOOOOO HARD!!! I mean REALLY, can we say, GHETTOLICIOUS???

I'm like, I don't even have words...WOW...What can I say??? to borrow a HUGE amount of money, to give as a birthday gift, to a girl that didn't even like him!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!

Then i'm like, so how long was it before he paid you that $100 back??? Marks says, Well ACTUALLY, now that you mention it, HE NEVER DID!!! We're like, WHAAAAAAAAAAT??? More HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER!!!!!!!!! I'm like, now this REALLY IS TYPICAL OF HIM... to borrow a HUGE amount of money, to give as a birthday gift, to a girl that didn't even like him and for the cherry on top, to NOT EVEN PAY BACK THE POOR FRIEND HE BORROWED IT FROM!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeellllllllllll, once I had that $100 in my hand, MOM DID find out about it annnnnnnnnnnnd of course, like any good mom would, she DID NOT APROVE of me excepting the gift!

That's taking advantage of him! I'm like, I don't see HOW, when I in NO WAY manipulated him into giving me the money annnnnd I've told him I don't like him and he STILL wanted to give it to me! She's like, well, that's HOW I feel about it!!! (Lets NOT talk about the hot-pink-flowered-razor-phone he gave me!!!! Remember HOW cool razor phones were??? Yeah, I wouldn't know, I HAD TO GIVE IT BACK!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!)

Soooo I knew WHAT my mom thought, Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut since I was a legal adult at the time, she let me decide what I was going to do, buuuuuut she let me know how she felt!!!! Soooooooooo being the good girl that I was, I decided to just pray about it!!! :)))

Weeeeelllll as I prayed about it, its like all of the sudden God began to change my feelings for this guy!!! All of the sudden I felt like I was missing him and thinking about seein him again was even making my heart slightly flutter annnnnd then I realized, OH MY WORD...I ACTUALLY LIKE HIM!!!!

.

I had such a crush on him that I felt like it was ONLY RIGHT to accept this young man's generosity...

LET THE SHOPPING BEGIN!!!

And let me tell you all, I went to town shopping, "IN LOVE" the whole entire way!!! I bought a lot of stuff, buuuuuuut the ONLY thing I actually remember was this beautiful navy blue dress I bought with white beaded flowers going down the bottom of the front and one side of the top of the dress!

 All the other girls were like, Ooooooh wait till he sees you in that...annnnnd thus we named the dress, THE ENGAGEMENT DRESS (Ironically, later on when I DID have a boyfriend, he requested me to me to wear that dress in some pre-engagement pictures we were getting done...which btw obviously didn't work out! *That awkward moment where you never get passed the pre-engagement stage...LOL...anyway, after that break up, that dress was officially DONE FOR!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!)Weeeeeeellllll...I managed to stretch that $100 out for the two weeks they were on their missions trip...

.

Finally, the day after I spent the last dollar, the guys were back! The girls were all sooooo estatic to see me and this guy together now that I ACTUALLY LIKED HIM BACK!!! They were like you have to wear your hair down and curled and you MUST WEAR THE ENGAGEMENT DRESS!!!

.

Sooooooooooo I did exactly what they said I should do, buuuuuuut, I don't know WHAT HAPPENED, buuuuuuuuuut LIKE, my heart just wasn't into this relationship anymore. Its like, as I had spent that last dollar the day before, suddenly, GOD CHANGED MY FEELINGS FOR HIM AGAIN...the crush was DONE AND OVERRRRR annnnnd I realized something...

IT JUST WASN'T GOD'S WILL!!!!

P.S. I DO NOW UNDERSTAND my mom’s point of view now and why she felt it was taking advantage of someone!! She also taught me NOT to flirt with the baristas, waiters and employees to get discounts or free drinks or guys that your like hanging out with that are your friends that would probably offer to pay for your meal if you flirted with them!! She said that’s cheap and a form of selling yourself! Either pay for it yourself or DONT GET IT!!! Part 1

I was thinking about another story the other day from WAAAAAAAAAY back in the day, I was probably in my early 20's at the time, and I had a rumor that a certain you man that like me was going to give me a VERY BIG BIRTHDAY PRESENT...this may or may NOT be the same guy from, "Just Two Cups Of Water" My brother's all told me, he said he's going to give you $100!!!

 

 I was like, WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT??? I mean, that may NOT seem like an EXTREMELY big gift, buuuuuuut when you have NO INTEREST in the guy, it KINDA IS!!! LOL!!!

.

Well I was superrrrr excited about this gift, I mean, being jobless at the time, the possibilities for what I could do with $100 seemed ENDLESS!!! I couldn't wait...$100...better NOT let mom find out about this!!! Hee, hee!!!

.

It turned out that on my birthday, July 18th, (mark your calenders folks;) this guy wasn't even going to be here. Him and my brothers and several other guys from our church were going on a missions trip overseas...AW bummmmmerrr...no $100 for Mar Bear!!! Then my brother's told me, no, he said he's  going to leave your birthday present at the house when we leave early in the morning!!!

.

So the guys left for the airport at like 4am annnnnnd there was NO WAY I was getting up that early to see them off!!! Buuuuuuuuut when I woke up that day, sure enough, sitting by my pillow was a beautiful gift bag with a card.

 .

I was like YEEEEEEESSS$$$!!! I didn't really care what trinket was in the gift bag, OF COURSE the first thing I did was tear open the card.

.

I opened up the card and it was some flowery-rose card with eloquent poetry, blah, blah, blah, I didn't bother reading it or ANYTHING that was written in the card...buuuuuuuuuuut much to my dismay, there was NO $100 in it! Whaaaaaaaaaaaaat???? It was such a fancy card it had all these little layers of pretty papers and I searched EVERY LAYER AND STILL NO $$$$$$!!! Ugh!!!

Weeeeeeeellllll maybe it was in the gift bag, like in a box or something!!! I open the gift bag and all that's in it was a FANCY ROSE PICTURE FRAME...with a picture of THE TWO OF US IN IT!!! I'm like, seriously??? A picture of us??? I don't want no picture of US...I don't even look good in the picture...LOL

.

Oh well, I shoulda known a $100 gift was just all talk!!! Not wanting to clutter up my room, (See how organized I am?:) I simply walked into our kitchen and put the whole gift in the trash can, CARD AND EVERYTHING!!! Then, I just went about my day...ta, ta!!!

Well later my brother calls and asks me if I got the gift? I was like, Oh yeah...he's like did you get the $100??? I was like, NOOOOO!!! There was no $100, just a picture of us!!! He's like, well you were supposed to look for it!!! I'm like, I DID!!! I searched that card high and low and there was NO $100 in it! He's like, where is the gift now? I'm like, IN THE TRASH!!! He's like, what??? Mary go get it out!!! I'm like, WHY? Its just a picture of us at a banquet that I don't want!!!

He's like, JUST GO GET IT OUT!!! I'm like, Okaaaaaaaaaaay...then he says, open up the back of the frame, SO I DID, he's like, now move the card board piece, so I did, annnnnnnnnnnnnd LO AND BEHOLD...there between the picture and the cardboard in the back of the frame was $100!!! $weeeeeeeeeet!!!

.

My brother is like, I can't believe you almost threw that away!!! I'm like, Okaaaaaaaaaaaay well hows a girl supposed to know there was a $100 bill in it??? He's like, well you were supposed to LOOK FOR IT and then if you didn't find it when we got back from the trip he was going to show you...I was like, OH! He's like, I mean, he wasn't planning on YOU throwing his stuff gift in the trash!!! LOL Oooooooooooops...my bad!!! Hee, hee!!!

*BRO TIP: Buuuuuut hey guys, just a heads up, if you like a girl but she doesn't like you back and your going to give her $$$ and you plan on hiding it somewhere in another gift, you may want to tell her so she doesn't throw it away...Jus sayin!!! ;)

Why were you referred here?

I meant to post this yesterday buuuuut I never got to the library, soooooo i'll just double post today, since today's post was pre-scheduled from like a week ago!!! 

.

Sooooooooo my doctor referred me to a weight-loss clinic in Scottsdale and so I made an appointment and had a phone intake yesterday morning, where basically they go over their program with you and ask you your goals etc...

.

So they start off my asking me if I was referred to them by someone? So I say yes, my doctor and then they ask me IF there was a REASON WHY my doctor had referred me to their WEIGHT LOSS program???

. 

When they asked me this, I paused for a really long time, TRYING to figure out the correct answer??? I mean, this seemed pretty basic, buuuuuut I also graduated high school with straight Ds...soooooooo was this liiiiiiike a trick question??? I analyzed it several times in my head buuuuuuut still could NOT come up with any other answer to this question than the OBVIOUS reason one would join a WEIGHT LOSS program...sooooooooo finally I say...

UUUUUUUUUUUUUH...

TO LOSE WEIGHT!!!

Liiiiiiiiiiike DUH!!! :P

The lady doing the intake starts laughing, she's like, no, what I mean is, aside from losing weight, do you have any health issues, like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart issues, sleep apneia or diabetes etc? I'm like, oh no none of that, I just got a bunch of blood work done and they said all that is really good!!! My main thing is that I gained a bunch of weight during 2020 and I haven't gotten it off! I'm able to maintain my weight but I want to get that weight back off and for me to do that I always have to a really strict program and then I'm usually able to maintain it, I just need help getting it off!!!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut anywayZ it was soooooooo funny when she asked me WHY i had been referred there, liiiiiike isn't this superrrrrr obvious??? Kinda like when I got hired with a special needs company, I work for a different one now, buuuuut at this one they do a new employee orientation and at the orientation, they go around the room and aske everyone to tell them WHY they chose to be in this "CAREER"???

Weeeeeeeeeeeellllll everyone had these huge heroic reasons for their WHY they were doing this, basically they all pulled out their super hero capes and then it got to ME, they're like, what about you Mary? Why did YOU CHOOSE a career here??? I paused for a minute, then after really thinking about it, I gave my HONEST ANSWER, i was liiiiiiiike, Uuuuuuuuuuh...

FOR A PAYCHECK!!!

Duuuuuuuuuuuuuude you shouldve a seen the look on their faces...they were SOOOOO OFFENDED with my response!!!! I was thinking liiiiiiike, okaaaaaaaaaaay sooooo SUE ME for being the only HONEST person in this room!!!! Yes, I LOVE SPECIAL NEEDS CHILDREN, buuuuuuut would I be working here IF I DID NOT NEED A PAYCHECK??? NOOOOOO!!! (Once again, I can't pay the bills with good looks and an amaaaaaaZing personality!!!!;) IF I didn't need a paycheck I can not honestly say I would be one of those people that would still be working!!!

I'd be traveling the world, going on adventures, exploring, shopping and WRITING!!! Writing is THE ONLY job I would do NO MATTER WHAT without making a dime from it...which is obvious since I DO that right now without making any money...HOPEFULLY that will change soon once I get "Peter's First Italian Feast"  published..(Waiting on the editors and then the illustrator).buuuuuuuuuut IF NOT...I can tell you that I will STILL BE WRITING...I have to...it's in me and I know it's what God wants me to do and I can't waste the gift he gave me!!!!

PLEASE PRAY 🙏!!!

Sooooooooooooooooo you guys, I wanted to ask you all to pray for me about something!!! I havn't really shared this with anyone at this point, in fact, if my pastor's wife is reading my blog right now, this is THE FIRST even she has heard of this!!!

This issue is with MY EYES!!! I really DO NOT want to have to get glasses, because 1. I'm NOT a nerd! ;) 2. I don't think I'd be able to keep them on my face!!! Buuuuuuuuuuuut the honest truth is that I am having trouble seeing well!!! IN FACT...

Sometimes i can't see anything...

Truly, I CRACK MYSELF UP!!! Sooooo Denae had asked me to start taking prayer requests and leading in prayer with our ladies Bible study, I opened the first day on the job with THAT LINE!!! Hee, hee!!! One person fell for it...probabley would have gone better IF I had NOT started laughing halfway through!!!

 That's WHY I'm sooooooooooo bad at pranks...I cannot NOT laugh!!! Buuuuuuuut on the bright side, it makes everyone else laugh too...annnnnnd that's all that really matters...also WHY my creativity is best through the written word!!!

Praying till we forget...

A few weeks ago, I went hiking with the kids, and when we were done, we were walking back to the car and Odin says to me, Aunt Mary, I was praying sooooooo hard at church on Sunday. I was just crying and speaking in tongues, he's like, did you see me Aunt Mary!?!?!?!? I was like, I DID see you, and you were praying very good!!!. 

.

He's like, yeah I was...then he kinda like GASPS and he says, I was praying soooooooo hard, I FORGOT to even ask God for a pet bird and a Tesla!!! 

It was  SOOOOOOOOO FUNNY annnnnd CUUUUUTE!!!! 

.

Buuuuuuuuuuut it got me to thinking, no my nephew is not some kind of super spiritual kid, buuuuuuuuuut still, I can't help but think that is the very essence of what prayer is supposed to be...

To pray till our own desires are forgotten, 

because our own spirit is lost

 in God's desires!!!
