These were the SAME steps and porch that we had our WATER FIGHT on!!! Ooooo I sooooooooooo FORGOT to tell you all about that!!! Yes! There was a WATER FIGHT annnnnnnnnnd I want it to go on record that IT WAS STARTED BY DENAE ABBOTT AND DAWN WHATEVERRR HER LAST NAME IS!!! LOL

Buuuuuuuuuuut WHO GOT THE BLAME??? Yes, thats right ME!!! Miss Proverbs 31 herself!!! Bro. Andrew comes walking over with this HUGE grin and is like, OH this has Mary Ginty written all over it!!! I was like, WHATEVERRRR!!! I mean, yes, once it DID get started, I did HELP take it to the NEXT LEVEL, and YES I DID manage to get the WETTEST, OF COURSE....buuuuuuuut I did NOT START IT!!!

I was like, Bro. Andrew, WHAT do you think of us having like a big, huge, PLANNED water fight??? He was like, NOPE!!! The pastor's already talked about a PLANNED one and decided against it!!! I was like, Oooo okaaaaaaaay....soooooo as long its NOT PLANNED!?!?! He was like, WEEEEELLLL....annnnnnnd if the unplanned once get out of hand they will be ended as well!!! I was like, OH...Ummmmm...okaaaaaay sooooo anywayz we're NOT EVEN HAVIN THIS CONVO RIGHT NOW!!! Heh, heh, heh!!! ;) Buuuuuuuut we NEVERRRR did have another UNPLANNED water fight...NEXT YEAR PEOPLE!!!

Sunglass funeral!!!

Sooooooooooooo do you all remember me tellin you guys about how my pink-heart-shaped-sunglasses broke???

Remember the devestation I felt in my heart on the trip over??? The laying on of hands???

Weeeeeeelllll...Funeral arrangements IMMEDIATELY began to be made!!! Jac even handmade a COFFIN for the sunglasses one night from two nacho thingys...LOL!!!

Thursday AMA!!!

Thursday morning started off with another beautiful walk to the chapel for prayer, knowing that in previous years, this WOULD HAVE been the morning we were all saying goodbye to each other!!!

Bro. Frazier giving us our morning devotional, he was talking about heros in our lives, as in people we look up to but also Biblical heroes! My heroes are not the celebrities of this world....buuuuut the people of God!!!

Also, I forgot to say that the day before Bro. Mattew Garrett did our devotional and he talked about how the word of God is a sword that divides the spirit and the flesh. He was talking about how sometimes there are things that God will just begin to tell us to seperate out of our lives. Its not like we're not living for God, its just time to let go of things in order for us to move up higher and draw closer to God! I know personally for my own self that this made perfect sense when he talked about it! There have been things that i've felt like God wanted to me to get rid of or let go of, WHY??? I'm allowed to do it, its ok, its not SIN!!! I can't explain it, its just an urging in my heart that I can get rid of until I obey. But hearing this devotional helped to understand more, its the word of God dividing the spirity and the flesh!!!

AMA Wednesday!!!!

Wednesday Morning...we woke up and REALIZED last year today would have been our LAST day together at camp!!! That woulda been like soooooo SAD!!! I told Bro. Andrew that afternoon when we were all hanging out and he was asking our oppinions on some stuff, KEEP THE EXTRA DAY!!! I know we had to pay EXTRA this year buuuuuuuut in my personal oppinion it sooooooo WORTH IT!!! Annnnnnnd EVERYONE in the group agreed!!! I told Bro. Andrew, YES I heard a lot of people complaining about the price raise, buuuuuuuuuut I TOLD HIM, all those people that were complaining about the price raise, have NEVERRR been to A Mountain Apart Camp!!! Annnnnnnnnnd WHO were the people that came this year??? Basically the SAME FAITHFUL HANDFUL of people that have gone EVERY YEAR annnnnnnnnd a FEW NEWBIES!!! Sooooo yeah...Puleeeeeze keep the EXTRA DAY!!! LOL!!!

Travis just TOTALLY enjoying his breakfast!!! AHAHAHA!!! Okaaaaaay I think he is pretty much one of the ONLY campers that didn't like the food!!! LOL!

This is Emily again...she told me, my mom said that if I told you I liked your blog that you would probabley put me on there...So wanna get a picture of me??? AHAHAHA!!! I let her borrow some of my accessories, it was sooooooooo CUUUUUTE when she came walkin into church with my stuff on!!! I had to pause from my prayer to take a pic and when I did she put out her arms to pose and said;

"Look A LITTLE MARY!!!"

AMA TUESDAY!!!

TUESDAY!!! Sooooo this is when all the FUNNNN REALLY got going!!! Soooooooo Tuesday morning I woke up refreshed...annnnnd headed out to the chapel for early morning prayer...it really is soooooo AWESOME to have the opportunity to meet early in the mornin with all my fellow campers for that special time of prayer!!! Early morning prayer IS VOLUNTARY...you do NOT have to go....buuuuuuut ALL THE COOL KIDS GET UP AND GO!!! (:

As you can see tho, my eyes are still not opening all the way tho...AHAHAHA!!! Soooo then after morning prayer is over its time for breakfast and we all walk over to the cafeteria together and had I think it was this AWESOME belgum waffles...there is always fresh fruit/cerial/ grandnola/ yogurt and coffee/hot chocolate...yeah breakfast is pretty much THE BEST!!!

If I have free time before morning church I just like to walk around by myself and observe nature and my surroundings...its soooooooo pretty!!!

AMA Monday night

Soooooooo last Monday night was the first night of AMAYC!!!

 

We all had sandwhiches in the bottom of the dorms...me and Daisy discovered we both love pepper jack cheese!!! YUM!!!! I mean, I already knew that I did...I just didn't know that Daisy did and she didn't know that I did...know what I'm sayin??? LOL

The chorale from the Moore's church sang...THEN Bro. Andrew began his week long of MANY ANNOUNCEMENTS!!! AHAHAHA!!!

Bro. Joel Booker preached an AMAZING message about God shaking the foundations of our whole life...like an earth quake and we are FOREVERRR CHANGED!!! It was definatley a good message to start off the conference!!!

This is my outfit that I wore the first night...just in case you all were wondering...which i'm SURE you all were!!! Even tho I my hair looks cute...I had a BAD hair day!!! See, it was SUPPOSED to be down and curled buuuuut that soooooo did NOT happen!!! LOL

 

After church that night I was sooooooooo TIRED!!! I felt kinda outta it!!! See look at how my eyes are just droopin in the pic...my two hours of sleep was FO SHO catching up to me!!!

Here we all are just hanging out...I met Dawn's sister, Sis. Miranda, she is sooooo AWESOME and funny!!! LOL!!! I was like were you here last year??? And she said that she was! I was like, OH did I meet you??? And she said that she had kinda tried to talk to me about my hair but that I seemed disinterested or something in talking to her!!! I'm like Oooooo...I'm soooooo SORRY!!! Annnnd I explained to her that I'm super airheaded at times...and Denae was like, yeah annnnnd if Mary is distracted about ANYTHING its pretty much impossible to hold a convo with her!!! Yup...this is TRUE!!!  

I was sooooooo tired I actually went inside an hour before bed time...buuuuuuut then on the way to bed I got distracted and started talking to Devi and Shannon and Jac...it was an LPC/former LPC girls moment!!!

Preserving your youth!!!!

How to stay young??? In the world that we are living in today, people will do ANYTHING to try and stay young! They diet, they excercise, they have face lifts, tummy tucks, lipo, they dye their hair to cover the grays, they try and use makeup to cover wrinkles, They hang out at clubs, party, drive fancy cars, get drunk, get high, they wear clothes they shouldn't wear, they'll try just about ANYTHING to try and stay young, but NOT really obtaining their desire!!! But REALLY how can  you STAY YOUNG???

This past week at A Mountain Apart Youth Camp, we all had some good laughs about my actual age and the fact that I was hanging out with people that were in reality, WAAAAAAAY younger than me!!! The last night, Sis. Devi walked into our room and was like WOW, you girl's is room is A MESS!!! 

Without missing a beat Delora says, "Well YOU KNOW, its just a bunch of teenagers...

 AND A 29-year-old...

 that are staying in here!!! 

Annnnnnnnnnd we all laughed really HARD!!! Buuuuuuuut it got me to thiinking about YOUTH!!! I mean, I know I was the oldest camper there, yet I didn't feel awkward or like I didn't fit in! The girls that I hung with the young people I was hanging out with the most, that I considered, the OLDER young people, were the ones that were 18, 19, 20, 21 year olds and then there was basically a HUUUUUUGE gap in the years  to me...buuuuuuut I honestly didn't think about it when we were all goofing off and having fun together!!! I mean, despite the age difference, we were basically all at that same point in life. Graduated from high school, working a job, living for God, waiting and seeking the will of God for our lives...I understood and connected with them on the same level.

Driving to AMA!!!

We're havin fun! Sooooo i stayed up alm night, got to the church at 3:30 am... sooooo TIRED i just crashed on the foyer if the church!! Buuuut I got like an hour and a half of sleep, half a cup if coffee and have been WIRED ever since!!! !

Then Aurora, 11 years old is like, I don't want to be single when I'm a grown up! I'm like HEEEEEY there is NOTHING wrong with being single!!! It's better than being married to the wrong person!!! Aurora says, yeah buuuuut it's NOT better than being married to the RIGHT PERSON!!! Ahahaha Thanks Aurora!!!!

A Mountain Apart!!!

LEAVING FOR CAMP IN LESS THAN THREE HOURS!!! We are soooooooo EXCITED!!!

 

I got ALL the essentials FOR CAMP!!! Hee, hee!!!

Got everything in ONE SUITUCASE...buuuuuuuut I couldn't shut it!!!

Soooooooo I gotta duffel bag too!!!

Well, at church today, all of us going to camp had to say what we wanted to get from camp! Jac whispered we should say husbands, I'm like LETS SAY IT!!! She's like NOOOO we can't! So when she gets the mike I whispered LOUDLY ...A husband!!! AHAHA! She's like NOOOO... WHATEVERRRR...then says some spiritual thing!!! SO THEN when it was MY TURN, I was like, weeeeeellll...I really just wanna feel the glory of God while I'm there, buuuuuuuut IF HE WANTS to throw in a husband, I'm COOL WITH THAT TOO!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Seriousley, I am tho!!!

 

My brother came up with the BEST EVERRR pick up line to help out all his single buddies that are going!!! He said to say, "We came to A Mountain Apart, BUT we can come back TOGETHER!!!" Ahahahaha!!! I SOOOO LOOOOOVE IT!!! I would swoon IF, the RIGHT guy said that to me!!! EMPHASIS ON RIGHT!!! BAHAHAHA!!!
