Christmas wrapping THANKS!!! :)

I just wanna say a SPECIAL THANK YOU  to my big sis for wrapping ALL my Christmas presents for me!!! I am HORRIBLE at wrapping gifts!!! Like, sometimes I don't even use a scissor to cut the paper...ahahahaha!!! LOL! You know how some people look at a beutifully wrapped present and the like gasp, like, "OMW!!! The wrapping is soooooooooo BEAUTIFUL!!! I don't even wanna OPEN it cuz I'll RUIN the wrapping!!!" Then they proceed to take like ten minutes NEATLY unwrapping the gift and your just standing there like, OH COME ON!!! Just OPEN IT!!! Ahahahaha!!! A cute Christmas...

I think Christmas time is basically OFFICIALLY over in our household!!! I started taking down all the decorations today and MAN its A LOT of work!!! (Isn't our gingerbread house soooo cute?!?! Notice I made it a Single-parent home for my sis and MJ!!! LOL!) I can't decide what's harder... Putting the decorations up or taking them down?!?! Well I think they are both EQUALLY hard, BUT putting decorations up is definatley ALOT more fun!!! (Well, UNLESS your the Grinch or Scrooge of course!LOL!) For me, putting them up was WAAAAAAAAAAAY fun!!! Especially since I got to do it with my BFF...Jac!!! We had soooo much fun and in the process Jac came back home with a STAPLE GUN!!! LOL Ummm yeah...it WORKS great for keeping stuff up... A LITTLE TO GOOD is what I found out today!!! HAHA! Anywayz, Jac decided that she OFFICIALLY loves decorating with ME!!! You know why?! Cuz I'm soooooooo cool!!! LOL!

We were hanging up the above garland and ornaments in the kitchen and EVERY time Jacqui would staple the garland in a loop I would get sooooo excited I would like squeal!!! OMW! Its soooo CUTE! I love it! I love it!!! Finally half-way through Jacqui is like, "Okaaay...This is why I LOVE decorating with you!!! You LOVE, EVERYTHING I do!!!" HAHAHA! I'm like well, I can't help it, when I see it, its like ADORABLE!!! And she is like, "Yeah, with you I like make one little swoop with the garland and your exclaiming. With other people you make one swoop and they are like, its not even, move it over, a little to the right, now move it in, ok now let me see how it is,  oh no its to far out now bring it in, but your just like, 'OMW!!! Its soooo cute! I LOVE IT!!!'" HAHAHAHAHA!

 Woooooooooooooooooooo!!!! Thats a whole whomping TEN YEARS younger than what I ACTUALLY am!!!!!!!!!!!! (I'm 27 in case you were WONDERING!!!;) YES!!!!!! LOL! AND the oldest anyone thought I was, WAS 20!!! Oh yeah, oh yeah! Oh yeah!!! I don't get it though...cuz when I was 17, if I looked ten  years younger THEN, I woulda been lookin like I was ONLY 7!!! LOL! Wait, did I do that math right? 17-10 =7 YES!!! (Ummm I think!)  LOL! But actually, the weird thing is that back in the day, when I was actually YOUNGER, everyone thought that I was OLDER and NOW that I am OLDER, everyone thinks that I am YOUNGER!!! Sooooo weird!!!

 I remember being at Jr. camp and I was like 13, and this meant that I could either be a camper or staff and Bishop Abbott was like, Its your last chance, I think you should just go as a camper again! And I remember just thinkin...awwww man...People have like, been thinking that I was a COUNSELOR since I was like TEN...HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! NOW that i'm 27, people think I'm 17!!!!!!!!! LPC YOUTH GROUP!!!

The other day my neice MJ and I were listening to Adventure's in Odyssey and one of the kids on the show mentioned their youth group!!! Well MJ got sooooooooooo excited about this!!! She turns to me and is like, "MARY!!! The said THE YOUTH GROUP!!! Thats just like US!!!!!!!!!!!" AHAHA!!! I died laughing!!! For two reasons...#1 MJ is ONLY 8!!! #2 because I'm 27!!! LOL! I'm soooooooo glad she considers me and her THE YOUTH GROUP since Technically, NEITHER of us fit into the "YOUTH GROUP CATEGORY!!!!" Bro. Sam our youth leader, WHOM I AM OLDER THAN says, "Youth group?! This is MORE LIKE the Mid-life group!!!" HAHAHA! I'm like, what are you talin about?!?! I'm your STAR YOUTH!!! Hahaha! We DO actually have five "youth" that are still ACTUALLY in their teens BUT at least one of those teens is OVER 18!!! The rest of us are in our 20's!!!! BUT we sure do have fun TOGETHER!!! Thank God for SNOW!!!

 Welll I REALLY hate snow!!! I mean don't get me wrong, its BEAUTIFUL to LOOK at and I really get tickled pink with joy when snowflakes fall on me...they're just soooo CUTE...BUT...i SERIOUSLEY think the stuff is some of THE MOST annoying stuff in the WHOLE world!!! It is sooooooooooooooooo COLD and it sticks to everything, and you can't wear flip flops, and its hard to walk in and you have to wear a million layers of clothes and it makes a TOTAL mess and its REALLY dangerous AND DID I MENTION THAT ITS FREEZING COLD?!?!! But aside from ALL that this past week I decided to LOVE SNOW!!! I AM SOOOO thankful that God sent a blizzard to New York City!!!

This past week, actually for 9 whole days I was SUPPOSED to be partying in NYC!!! We were surprising my uncle, spending time with my family, shopping AND we were gonna be spending New Years Eve in Times Square watching the crystal ball drop!!! We were supposed to be leaving last Monday and returning this Tuesday...BUT there was a BLIZZARD!!! Over 1000 flights at the JFK airport in NYC were canceled!!! It was sooo craZy when you called the airlines all you got was a busy signal!!!

  The WHOLE city was shut down...

NO ONE was going anywere and some people were snowed in sooooo bad they couldn't even open their front doors!!!

 WOW!!! Imagine having to get rid of all that snow....my cousins with the snow shovels....it was absolute CRAZINESS!!!

AND as annoying as SNOW is I am soooooooooo thankful for this blizzard this last week...WHY??? Because it was the cause of my trip to NYC being canceled!!! LOL! I know your saying WHAT??? How could you NOT want to go to NYC??? Well...I do LOVE NYC!!! It is one of the coolest, awesomest, FUNNEST place EVER to go visit!!! In fact, I have been to Maui and if I had the choice I would TOTALLY choose NYC over the too!!! BUT this particular trip was gonna be right, SMACK, DAB in the MIDDLE OF CONQUEROR'S CONFERENCE!!! Which is MY ALL TIME FAVORITE conference EVER!!! I was soooooooooo disapointed that I would be missing MY FIRST CC ever since the beginning of its existence!!!

I REALLY thought I was gonna miss it...then last Sunday we got word...it was snowing BAD...at first they were just gonna change the time we were leaving but then we got word that it would be a while before we could make it out there....at first I was like SOOOOO disapointed, I was like, SEE this is WHY I HAT SNOW!!! Then all of the sudden I realized I was like OMW I LOVE SNOW!!! and oh man you all shoulda seen me when I realized that I was gonna be able to go to Conqueror's Conference...I was whoopin and hollering and doing this wild, crazy dance around the house!!! LOL! It was pretty awesome!!! (except my sister didn't think so!!!) I was soooooooo happy!!! My mom's cousin works for the airlines so we got a FULL REFUND on our tickets and will still be going to NYC we're just not sure when at this moment!!!

Soooo I got BOTH Conqueror's Conference AND NYC!!! Which is EXACTLEY what I wanted... but there is NO way it woulda or coulda happened if I HAD TRIED!!! Only God could do that!!! ! I know you all think i'm cRaZy....BUT YES...I would rather be at Conqueror's Conference then partying in New York!!!! Conqeror's Conference is waaaaaaaay better than the AWESOMEST vacation spot!!! I mean when your in the church service absorbing God's presence, touching Him at the altar, watching lives being changed...how can you even compare?!?!

I LOVE this quote for guys also by Bro. Ballestero. Its soooo true!!! You don't have have the best high paying job in the world or a college degree. You don't have to quit your job over silly things like there being TV's in the breakroom or Budda's for sale at the store!!! LOL Even if you have a job at fast food or a grocery store, if you stick with it, you will work your way up and eventually make your way into a management postition. I have seen guys do this just because they stuck it out at the not-so-fun job!!! To me consistency is one of the MOST IMPORTANT traits ever in a man!!! I ALWAYS look for it!!! ;)

Well, I spent the FIRST day of this year totallly SICK!!! LOL! MOSTLY SLEEPING, with my mouth open cuz i couldn't breath through my nose!!! Makin great use of the nasal spray, tissues, tea AND covered in Vicks!!! HAHA!!! My pastor saw me today and was like, "Nice Vicks!" I'm like haha, "THANKS!" He was like, No really, you look GREAT!!!" HAHAHAHA!!!(Hey I wasn't out to impress anyone, just TRYING TO BREATH!!! LOL)  BUT despite being sick, I am still TOTALLY excited about this NEW YEAR!!! This morning another girl got the Holy Ghost!!! This family just showed up at our church looking for God last Sunday and they just happen to live REALLY close to all the other kids that we have been doing outreach with! My pastor's wife asked me if I would want to do a Bible study with the girls and I was like SURE!!! Plus I have ANOTHER friend that I just randomley met and she had been reading stuff that I post and she said she really wants God in her life, so she has been coming to church and asked me to go Bible shopping with her and is requesting a Bible study! I'm like SOOOOOO excited! Its ONLY January 2nd and I may be sick as a dog but I have two Bible studies lined up to teach to three different people!!! Wooooooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooo!!!! Thats sooooo AWESOME!!! I havn't made a New Years resolution for this year... I just have a GOAL...

20-year-old Seth Cleveland is a VERY talented young man! He is a hardworking college student!!! He is a CLEVELAND soooo of course he is GOOD WITH HIS MONEY!!! He is always VERY helpful. He is a lot of fun to hang out with!!! He has been singing since he was just a child. He is AWESOME on the basketball court and Volley ball court! Oh and he is cool too...like when we all play volley ball as a youth group, and us girls don't hit the ball, WHICH IS QUITE OFTEN, Seth does NOT get all mad and yell at us LIKE SOME GUYS DO!!! He just trys to get the ball for us...which is FINE WITH ME!!! LOL! He looks out for the girls in his church, treats us like sistas and makes sure we're treated right. He is faithful, sincere AND he is a preacher of the word! One thing that I really ADMIRE about Seth is that even though he is really good at sports, he doesn't follow continually after the sport leagues of this world which is quite rare!

Another cool thing about Seth, he will GO OUT OF THE WAY FOR YOU!!! Yeah, girls, THATS RIGHT!!! Like last week we were having a bonfire in my back yard and makin s'mores, and I was like okaaaaaay which one of you guys wanna hold this s'more of the fire for me so that it gets warm ALL the way around and the guys all laughed(Yeah I was makin a joke!) but the seth was like, okaaaay let me see it, and him and my brother John contrapted this s'more holder outta medal hangers to hold the whole entire s'more while it was dipped into the fire...yeah the s'more slipped out and burned to death BUT...its the thought that counts!!! ;)

Scarecrow!!!

Sooo right before Thanksgiving my sister asked me to hang this scarecrow in the window one day while she was at work. So the next day I did. When I was done hanging it up I left the blinds up then when and sat at the computer for like two minutes. As I was getting up from the computer just a few moments later, my heart LEAPED and I like totallly had a panic attack as I looked up and saw a SHADOW looming in our front window!!! I was about to let out a BLOOD CURDLING scream when I realized, it was THE SCARECROW I had JUST HUNG UP TWO MINUTES AGO!!! Bahahahahahahaha!!!

Welllll...Last night at the Single Chick's party, we OF COURSE got to talking about what kind of man we want to marry and of course I just HAD to talk about Bro. Ikerd and it made me repost this!!!

I remember about two years ago, attending Bro. Donald Ikerd's funeral. His funeral was actually very uplifting. It had A LOT of Bro. Ikerd's humor woven into everything that was said. There was one point where they started playing clips his preaching. They played this one clip that was one of his last messages he preached before he died. He said in the message that he knew his ticker was about to stop ticking and that he would soon be going home, and as he talked to the saints his voice broke down and was beginning to cry. He talked about how he was gonna be leaving, but that there was STILL so many more souls to reach...so many people lost...who was gonna reach them. And as I listened to him, I felt myself starting to tear up, not because of Bro. Ikerd's death, but because of his burden for the lost, even still, till his death. I just remember sitting there thinking like, WOW...this man is crying about dying...but ONLY because he wants to keep reaching the lost...WOW!!! I was talking to my sister about it the other day, and I told her, THATS THE KIND OF MAN I WANT TO MARRY!!! A man like Bro. Ikerd! Not because he was a missionary or an incredible preacher, teacher and pastor, but becuase of his burden for souls. Thats how I want to spend my forever with a man, REACHING THE LOST!!!
