My mom told me when I was a teenager that she didn't believe in plucking your eyebrows, she was an ALNATURAL gal, hippy from the 60's, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT after seeing me "DO" my own eyebrows, she said IF I WAS GOING TO DO THAT TO MY EYEBROWS, I needed to leave my eyebrows to the professionals…

Sooooooo I wanted to save money 💵, and i'm weeeeeeeellllll past my teenage years and  sooooooooo I DID MY OWN EYEBROWS!!!! I was quite proud of them!!!

When my sis got home from work I asked her what she thought of them??? without telling her I had done ✔️ them myself, I was just liiiiiiiike, I got my eyebrows done, what do you think??? she looked at them for a moment then said, YOU should get a refund! 😱🤣😂

IF ONLY I COULD get a refund!!! Then I would NOT only be saving money, I'D BE MAKING SOME TOO!!! AHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Marriage advice!!!

I was reading the biography of Bro. Terry this past weekend, well more like skimming and speed reading through it, buuuuuuut I found this one paragraph on marriage advice HILARIOUS!!! I had to make a meme out of it…

Now husbands take into consideration that $20 is like a trip to the $1 dollar store 🏬 these days… aaaaaaand that the dollar 💵 ain’t even a dollar anymore!!! (Glad my mom didn’t live to to see that…cuz I’d NEVERRRRR have heard the end of that!!!!)

Humming Birds are NOT realists!!!

I have a confession to make; I think I maaaaaaaaaaay be a HUMMING BIRD!!!

Can you all see THE RESEMBELANCE!?!?!?!

1. Humming birds are colorful/Mary Is colorful

2. Hummingbirds love flowers/Mary LOVES flowers

3. Humming birds are little/Okaaaaaay the similarity just ended!Hee, hee!;)

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut WAIT there is ONE MORE THING Humming birds have in common, HUMMING BIRDS ARE NOT REALISTS!!!! Annnnnnd weeeeeelllll WE ALL KNOW I"M NOT A REALIST!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

How are humming birds NOT REALISTS???

Well i'm not very mathematical, so I wont go to deep into the details, buuuuuuuuut, if you look at the body structure of a humming bird, the size of their bodies in comparison to their wing size, their ability to fly is aerodynamically impossible.

.

But not only can this bird fly, it is the only bird able to fly forwards, backward, up, down, sideways, upside down, and even hover"

The humming bird should NOT be able to fly. It is scientifically and aerodynamically IMPOSSIBLE for the humming bird to fly. YET, the humming bird does NOT question the IMPOSSIBLE, it just FLIES!!! And not only does it fly, it is known as one of the best flyers of all birds EVEN THOUGH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for it to fly, IT STILL DOES!!!

As humans, HOW OFTEN do we doubt God's promises in our lives??? It will never happen! It's impossible! Sometimes we say, I don't want to be a nay sayer, buuuuuuuuuuuut, blah, blah, blah! I've done it, yes EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE i'm a realist too! Buuuuuuuuuut we need to be like the humming bird, THE HUMMING BIRD doesn't question, it just FLIES!!!

Your circumstances, your life, your issues, your struggles may seem like you’re an unlikely person to be used of God! People may say it’s impossible, buuuuuuut don’t listen, JUST BE USED OF GOD!!!

.

We need to JUST BELIEVE!!! Just ACT ON IT!!! It may seem like THE REALLY UNREALISTIC thing to do, buuuuuuuuuuuut GOD CAN DO ANYTHING!!!! If God said it, we don't need to analyze it. (Obviously, we do need Godly instruction from our spiritual authorities, but that’s not what I’m talking against, I’m talking about doubt and naysayers!)We don't need to look at the reality of the situation and think there's no way, I'm being stupid, I just need a reality check...BECAUSE GOD is NOT A REALIST!!! God is GOD! God doesn't work in our lines of reason and logic, he works on HIS TERMS!!!

Brother Matthew Garrett preached at our church this past Sunday and he said something that really caught my attention. He said, "God said let there be light and THERE WAS LIGHT, and then, three days later, he made the sun."  Now i'm not a scientist, buuuuuuuut i'm pretty sure that scientifically speaking, it is IMPOSSIBLE for there to be light in the world, without the sun. Yet, GOD DID IT!!! If God says, LET THERE BE LIGHT, there's going to be light, WITH OR WITHOUT the sun he created to give us light! 

.

“Marvel not at the works of sinners; but trust in the Lord, and abide in thy labour: for it is an easy thing in the sight of the Lord on the sudden to make a poor man rich.”

If God speaks, IT HAPPENS!!! If God told you something, he doesn't need anyone's analysis or REALITY CHECK for it to happen!!! Just, wait, trust and OBEY!!! IF the humming bird started talking to all of its friends asking their oppinion and they all started telling it, oh i don't know, you better just be safe and not fly. We want you to fly but you know it’s just not going to be a reality in your life, just accept it and move on. BUT NO, the humming bird doesn't stop to reason the impossible, it JUST FLIES!!!

God doesn't need your reality check! God doesn't need your analysis of the probability of a situation. GOD JUST NEEDS YOUR TRUST!!! Trust your creator and the impossible will happen!!!

I'm just TRYING to make some FRIED CHICKEN!!!!

I made the fried chicken, FOR MY SISTER, because I thought, what a great welcome home gift...She loves my chicken, buuuuuuuut I mean, WHO DOESN'T??? Weeeeeeeellllll besides my nephew ODIN??? 🙄🙄🙄

Sooooooooo after I made the fried chicken, FOR MY SISTER,I thought to myself, I'm goinig to be a MATURE, RESPONSIBLE, ALMOST 40-YEAR-OLD ADULT, annnnnnnnnnnd I'm going to NOT just leave an EMPTY EGG TRAY in the fridge!!!!  I'm going to do THE ADULTISH thing and REFILL THE EGG TRAY!!

.

 I literally DO NOT EVEN KNOW what happened!!! I'm holding the dozen eggs and its like I got a random case of turrets. My arm just randomly shot up and the next thing I know, A DOZEN EGGS IS FLYING THROUGH THE AIR...

.

Half on the floor and the other 6 ALL OVER THE KITCHEN, its like I was having my own belated Easter egg hunt...I even found one egg a few hours later splattered inside the kitchen Aide mixer!!!! Needless to say, the WHOLE KITCHEN had to be swept and mopped and wiped down....BIG TIME!!!

 Soooooooo THE LESSON IS: that's what you get Mary, FOR TRYING TO BE MATURE!!!

Buuuuuuuuuut the Big sis comes home and KNOWS NOTHING EVEN HAPPENED... she just sees a clean kitchen and i'm like all causal like, Oh yeah, I made you some chicken...she SUSPECTS NOTHING...and she'll neverrrrrr know....UNLESS... she read's her BEST SISTER EVERRRRR'S BLOG!!! BAHAHAHAAA!!! I waited til I replaced the eggs to post this...JUST IN CASE!!! ;)

I'm kinda like AMELIA BEDELIA, she drove her employees cRaZy, and they were always ABOUT TO FIRE her... BUUUUUUUUUUUUT then they tasted her cooking, AND THEY JUST CAN'T LET HER GO!!!! I'm THE Same, YOU KNOW IT!!! ;)

Soooooooooo the good news is that I didn't burn the house down ANDNNNNNNNND I ACTUALLY remembered to feed the dog 🐕!!! 😬 😅 😇

Soooooooooo I absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE blogposts or podcasts with people’s favorite things that they recommend!!!! Sooooooo I thought 💭 I would start my own on my blog as well!!!!!

1. Bug repellent

Ok sooooooo I looooooove the outdoors, buuuuuuut I HATE BUGS 🐜 🐛 🐞 🕷️!!!! For some reason, when I go hiking 🥾, bugs are EXTREMELY ATTRACTED TO ME!!! 🙄 #ThatAwkwardMomentWhenBugsAreMoreInterestedInYouThanGuys!!! Bahahahahaaa 

AnywayZ, this bug spray is an all natural, non-chemical, bug repellent that smells sooooooo goooooooood!!!! I actually get compliments from other hikers when I wear it!!!! And the BEST PART IS, IT WORKS!!! When the bugs come flying at me, it’s like there’s an invisible brick 🧱 wall around me 

and those bugs just stop 🛑 ✋ in their tracks and buzz 🐝 off!!! I’m liiiiiike, that’s right LOSERS… don’t touch me!!! You can find this spray on inherit clothing company site!

2. Funk Away!

Funk Away is an odor eliminator I like to use in my shoes! I put it in before I put my shoes on so I don’t even have a chance for my feet 🦶 to start smelling!!! And we use it on my nephew who has EXTREMELY STINKY FEET AND IT WORKS!!!

 What I like about Funk Away is that you can use it on other things that can’t be put in the wash and also as just a room spray in general and it smells really nice, like clean and refreshing!!! Soooooo if someone tells you that your feet stink, don’t get mad, GET FUNK AWAY!!! After all, you’re only human, that’s why we all have to use 🧼 🚿 🛁!!!

4. Summer Bedspread 

My new bedspread is soooooo niiiiiiice!!!! I really needed a lightweight blanket for the summer buuuuuuut I can’t sleep without a blanket and I can’t keep the fan on cuz it will make me cough 😷 and also I get too cold too!!!! Lol 😝 buuuuuuuuut this bedspread is the perfect in between!!! And the long sides are like a sheet, so if it’s a really hot 🥵 summer night in AZ I can just use the sides!!!  I know you all are surprised that I chose white for my bedspread but I like that white is just so fresh and clean and makes everything bright!!! Plus, WHITE is the only color you can BLEACH!!!

5. Low carb ramen 

🍜 I know, I knoooooow, it sounds TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE buuuuuuuuuuuut it’s REAL!!! And it ACTUALLY TASTES GOOOOOOOD!!! No the noodles aren’t exactly the same consistency, they’re a little firmer but I don’t mind it at all!!!

They’re made out of pumpkin seed protein, I liiiiiike pumpkin seeds so I was like ok I can try this!!!! Very, very good and very filling!!!! This ramen was created by two Asian men that just wanted to create a healthy alternative to their family for a food they truly loved!!! They grew up in Thailand 🇹🇭 and Taiwan 🇹🇼 and worked in a noodle factory sooooo I figured they knew something about ramen 🍜 making!!! It took 200 recipes before they came up with this one ☝️!!! #WORTHIT!!!! My favorite is the spicy 🌶️ beef!!! You can get it at Whole Foods in the noodle aisle or on Amazon!

The Ultimate Asian Compliment!!!

Soooooooooooooo I have ths certain hair-do I like to do wear the night before I braid my hair into little braids, wrap the ends around and then put the pony around it, I put spray gel all on the braids and when I take them out in the morning, my hair is all wavy and curly on the ends- I think it's actually one of my favorite hair-dos, because it's soooo easy and lasts for several days! 

.

Well one day when I wore it to church like this, my sister-in-law was sitting behind me and she was touching my waves and THEN she gave me THE ULTIMATE ASIAN COMPLIMENT EVERRRR!!! I mean, I actually am UNSURE if I could get a higher compliment comping from an ASIAN!!!

SHE TOLD ME THAT MY HAIR LOOKED LIKE...

RAMEN!!! 🍲 

I was like, GRAAAAACE, RAMEN???? That's liiiiiiiiiiiike a REALLY HIGH COMPLIMENT coming from an Asian!!! I mean, my sister-in-law LOVES HER RAMEN!!!

At our church ⛪️, on Sundays, after prayer and before service goes into song service, one of the men in our church gives an opening to the congregation. This past Sunday, Bro. Jason talked about the importance of being on the right path. 

.

BUUUUUUUUUUT more importantly then being on the right path, recommitting to the things on the right path. 

Recommitting to prayer!

Recommitting to Bible reading!

Recommitting to holiness!

Recommitting to faithfulness to church!

I really liked this, it’s so true! CHOOSING to live for God one time isn’t enough! We have to choose living for Him over and over again!!! I remember when one of my closest friends backslid, they said, they had some choices they had to make and I was just like, but I thought you already chose to live for God years ago! And they had, buuuuuuut choosing it one time isn’t always enough! We have to choose to live for God every single day of our lives! Again and again in our lives we have to recommit to convictions!  It’s a good thing to step back and reevaluate our lives and see if we are still standing strong!!!

.

There was a time in my life that I remember having to step back and reevaluate things in my life with holiness. When my mom was alive, I never had to worry about if I wore something a little too short, cuz trust me, I HEARD it before she even saw me… practically…bahahahahaaa!!!! After she died, that voice in my life was gone. Skirts got shorter, then I started wearing like the decorative nylons… people told me, you look so cute!

.

Buuuuuut I remember seeing a picture of myself and the thought that went through my head was… that looks soooooo HOOCHIE!!! It was like my mom was telling me from heaven what she thought!!! 😝 I got rid of all those nylons, got longer skirts… skirt extenders… because I’m COMMITTED to holiness and I needed to recommit to holiness!!!

God Cares about...

Soooooooooo I think around 2010, we went to Maui and I bought a souvenir, weeeeeeeeeellll one of many buuuuuuut this particular one was my absolute FAVORITE and THE ONLY ONE I still have today!!!

.

It was a handmade flower hair accessory made out of dried pineapple 🍍 leaves and I had bought it from just some random booth of locals that lived there!!!

.

Buuuuuuut you all know me and of course I couldn’t just buy something from the locals, I had to talk to them! I had to ask them about their culture and ethnicity and customs and well liiiiiiiike most people, THEY FELL IN LOVE WITH ME!!! Annnnnd the next thing I knew they were weaving me a fresh Hawaiian 🌺 flower wreath for my hair, the base being made out of palm leaves and beautiful flowers woven in!

.

And they didn’t charge me for it! They just place it on my head like I was royalty…. And told me I was beautiful!!!! Annnnnnd you guys KNOWS how much I looooooove flowers!!! Soooooooo let me tell you all something, I wore that flower crown everyday I was there annnnnd I got SOOOOO MUCH ATTENTION from it!!! (There’s actually another really funny story I’ll share another time!)

.

Anyways, if you guys know me, I have tendency to not keep things foreverrrrr!!!! Buuuuuuut I’ve always kept that handwoven pineapple 🍍 leafe flower! It’s a neutral color and goes with anything and even though in some ways it’s almost plain, its simplicity has an exotic flair to it! And it’s unique too- you neverrrrr go anywhere and see someone else with a handwoven pineapple leaf flower!!Plus I have such a good memory of the Hawaiian people that made it and crowned me while I was there!!!

Well I’m usually willing to share any of my hair accessories with my niece, and I don’t even care if she asks, buuuuuuuut one day she walks into church MY MAUI FLOWER in her and I just about had to pray through during prayer!!! I looooooove that flower and it’s pretty much irreplaceable!!! And yeah I knoooooow that there’s a good chance I’d lose or break it, buuuuuuut at least I’ll just be mad at myself and not someone else….I mean all my other things can be rebought buuuuuuuut NOT THAT ONE!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeellllll I didn’t say anything buuuuuuut when she gave it back to me I hid it in my drawer… I’ve had it for 12 years… I’ve gotta preserve it!!!

Well I wore it to church a few more times and each time I took it off I’d tuck it into my drawer! Then one day I was cleaning and straightening up my drawers and I realized something…

MY PINAPPLE MAUI FLOWER WAS GONE!!! 😱 

.

It was no where!!! I searched through all my hair accessories and it.was.GONE. 😭 and my room is clean and I don’t have clutter or lots of junk because I’m constantly clearing out sooooooo I knew it was under junk or something…UGH!! I was liiiiiike I guess that’s what I get for not wanting to share it, buuuuuuut STILL I’d rather it was me that lost it!!!! Haha 😝 

.

I went to my sisters room and was liiiiiiike, you’re not going to believe this buuuuuuut my flower from Maui is OFFICIALLY GONE!!! My sister was like, after all these years??? I was liiiiiike yeah!!! I guess I should’ve known me keeping something for this long without it breaking, or getting lost was just too good to be true!!! NOTHING LASTS FOREVER!!!

Then I was liiiiiike, I know it’s kinda dumb, buuuuuuuuuut, I actually think I’m going to pray about it!!! SO I DID!!!! I was liiiiiike, God I know it’s just a stupid hair accessory, buuuuuuuuuut you know where it is and if you want to, you can get it back to me!!! And that was that!!! I went on my life for the few weeks… SHOCKINGLY;) juuuuuuuuust fine without my FAVORITE HAIR ACCESSORY!!! 🤷‍♀️

Then one Sunday, I opened my purse, okay so I only use a purse on Sundays… I know, I knoooooow I’m WEIRD!!!! Well and it’s always the same purse! I only have two purses, a church purse and a casual purse and the casual purse is RARELY USED!!! So open my Sunday purse and GASPED…

In a ziploc bag is my favorite hair accessory!!!

Now I had used it SEVERAL SUNDAYS since I had prayed about it… soooooooo idk if I just never saw the bag, which I have no recollection of putting it in there if I did OR if God was just like, let me put that in a ziploc before I put it in her purse… buuuuuuuuut there it was!!!

So waaaaaaaaay back in the day, I liked this certain Apostolic young man, I don't really know how to describe him except to say he was tall, dark and HANDSOME!!! He was soooo fun and cool to hang out with. Plus, to top all this off, he was like TOALLY annointed of God, which of course  REALLY impressed me. I was listening today on Audible to a historical fiction story involving the civil war and the assacination of President Lincoln and it mentionioned his wife MARY!!! I was liiiiiiiike noooooo waaaaaaaayyyy!!!! That’s sooooo cool!!!

Seeing through Love...

Sooooooo the other day I was at Fry's getting out of my car, when I heard a couple talking to each other about a car. They were like, OH look at THAT CAR, that's a beautiful car!!! And in my head I thought, who cares about some fancy shmancy car!!! I LOOOOOVE MY CAR!!! I love my Honda Element! I don't care if it's not the latest, greatest, thing!!!  It's high off the ground, but compact and it has THE COLDEST AC annnnd it's really cute and reliable!!!! Sooooooo what if it has some scrapes and a dent on the bumper!!!! Those things just give it character!!!! It's THE BEST car I've everrrrr owned and I LOOOOOOOOVE my Orange Blossom Orange Crush, scrapes, bumps, DENTS AND ALL!!!

Weeeeeeeellll when the couple saw me as they walked by they stopped said, OH we were just talking about your car, it's a BEAUTY!!! I was liiiiiiiiiiiiike... OH THAAAAAAANK YOU!!!! They were like, yeah we love Honda Elements, we used to have one and really miss it!!! I was like, Oh totally agree!!! This is my favorite car i've ever owned!

And we parted ways smiling!

Annnnnnd I thought, that must be what it's like to see through the eyes of love. When you love someone, you don't stay focused on all their flaws and imperfections. Yeah, you know they're there, buuuuuut you LOVE them!!!

.

God sees us through the eyes of love So often we compare ourselves to others. We want to be like them! (ok just to be really honest, I don't struggle with this a WHOLE LOT....buuuuuut occasionally...every ONCE IN A BLUE MOON!!!;) If only I was more like this or like so and so! Buuuuuuut God sees us the way I saw my car and was defending it in my head. He hears us or knows what we're thinking inside and he's LIKE, whaaaaaat??? That's MY GIRL and I think she is AWESOME!!! She's just the best thing everrrrrr. That's MY CHILD!!! I took EXTRA time to make him the way he is.

God's LIKE, no I'm NOT talking about someone else, THAT'S YOU I'M TALKING ABOUT!!!! You don't need to try and be like someone else!!! Bumps, scratches, imperfections, flaws and all,

After the peak top!!!

If you've ever hiked a mountain, it's a pretty amazing feeling when you get to the top and then you look down. When you look down, you can clearly see every single path and trail and where they lead too. Looking at it all, yo think it would be impossible to ever get lost because every trail is so clear in your to your eyes. 

YET, every time you start the climb down, the clarity of where you are going and what trail to take is suddenly not so clear to you anymore. There have even been a few times i've started to get lost and had to stop and ask another hiker which way to the parking lot...and I think HOW can I not know which wat to go, when just a bit ago every path seemed SO CLEAR to me!?!?

.

Sometimes in our walk with God, the same thing can happen. We have that mountain top experience with God and every path in life seems so clear...we think we'll never have a doubt or worry again about  where God is taking us on our journey with him. BUT then we come down from that glory high and eventually the cares of life can leave us confused and wondering where to go next.

.

That happened to me a few years ago. I thought God had told me some things that were going to happen and it all seemed so clear...BUUUUT then LIFE happened and I remember just sitting there and I said God, it all seemed so clear not to long ago, I could see all those paths so clearly, I thought I could never be confused about life again, BUT now here I am at the bottom of the mountain and I don't know what to do or where to turn next. I was on the very paths I had clearly looking down on before, but now that I’m here, I don’t know where to turn next. God, Would you make those paths you showed me before, clear to me once more?

.

And HE DID!!! You guys, if your confused and your paths seem unclear, just ask God to give you clarity in your life. Not only will he stop and tell you what to do next, He'll take you by the hand and walk with you every step of the way. Don't try and find your way on your own...

.

STOP and ask the Master Hiker for directions!!!

I suppose in the end, my Baby Alive's have turned out more handy then that doll ever woulda...cuz who’s gonna work on my car or pick me up when I forget to get gas ⛽️???? Haha!!! THANK GOD WE WERE POOR...That doll woulda been LONG GONE BY NOW...it's kinda hard to lose these guys!!! Hee, hee!!! ;)

Where's MY KEYES???

Soooooooo the other day I gather all my stuff and am heading to the car and I’m looking 👀 for my Keyes and can’t find them anywhere!!!

I’m liiiiiike greeeeeat!!!! I look on my dresser, the counter, my bed, NO WHERE!!! Ugh….. probably locked them in my car 🚗….

Then I glanced down….

Liiiiiiiike DUH….

They were in my hand the whole time in between my water, two protien shakes and bag of vitamins…

Weeeeeeeeeelllll how I was I supposed know that???

Because I’m a woman!!!!

Sooooooo there’s this mystery series I was enjoying, weeeeeeelllll they’ve been getting a little too scary for me, buuuuuuut I was enjoying them! And in this series, at a certain point in the story, the author will say, all the facts of the mystery have been laid out in the story line and as the reader you can use all the facts to solve the mystery on your own before you continue with the story!!!!

Weeeeeeeeelllll I think this is really cool and at this point i usually DO INDEED figure out the mystery… buuuuuuuuuuut I don’t figure it out with the facts!!! 

You see, 

I don’t need facts

                              Because I’m a woman…
