Take that devil!!!

We have been having AWESOME church over here at Landmark!!! The kids have just been seeking God and we've had quite a few get the Holy Ghost in the last little bit and they are still just praying and praying, such tender hearts and sensitive spirts to the presence of God.

.

BUUUUUUUUUUUT... this past Sunday night was one of the most amazing services ever! We had great church in the morning and then at night Pastor preached a powerful message about the potter not being finished with the clay. We had a great altar call and everyone had prayed and prayed and the service was coming to an end but there was my little nephew O. Unbeknownst to everyone else, he was on his knees, head buried and I could see his tear stains in the rug, he was just sobbing and travailing in prayer, saying, "I love you Jesus! I love you Jesus!"

.

Pastor said I think we should linger just a little longer in prayer and then he went over to Odin and told him to lift up his head and raise his hands. He lifted his tear-stained cheeks, raised his little arms and in less then five minutes he was speaking in other tongues!!!

 Then pastor said, TAKE THAT DEVIL!!!

And the whole church just went wild rejoicing!!!

When I think about everything Odin has been through and all the battles and people that the devil has used to try and stop this moment from happening, I can't tell you the overwhelming feeling of JOY I felt!!! There is POWER IN PRAYER and  God is the VICTOR!!!!

Take that DEVIL!!!

Ellie Karlson, who already got the Holy Ghost a month or so ago, before she even turned 4, stayed with him the whole time he prayed wiping away every single one of his tears with a tissue!!!

It's REVIVAL TIME at Landmark!!!

God is doing great things over here in Scottsdale!!!

 Last weekend we hit up some houses in preparation for revival with the Frank's this week!!!

.

 We've been have GREAT services all this week, Thursday night Sister Faye got the Holy Ghost, last night we had such a strong spirit worship during song services and again during alter call, the spirit  of God was so strong. My little nephew O was praying and seeking God whole-heartedly for the Holy Ghost both times!!!

 It's going to happen soon I know it!!! 

 Got to church really early last night, our newest converts were in the kitchen making up posters to hit the street corner by our church to invite the cars driving by, they asked me if I wanted to join, I was like SUUUUUURE...I'm always down!!! So Judah and I went out with them, it was AWESOME!!! 

His name was MARTIN, 

buuuuuuuut then he got JESUS annnnnnnd now he's SMARTIN....HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYY!!!!👐

  I looooooooooove this!!!!

We're gonna do it again on Sunday and then we're gonna hit up outside the pot store and let them testify of God's deliverance from drugs!!! (S'Martin says he needs a megaphone for this tho!!!LOL) I'm soooooooooo excited, can't wait to see what God is going to do next at LANDMARK PENTECOSTAL CHURCH!!!!

Martin & Lucero's Wedding!!!

THE LICENSE!!!

This past Saturday, October 6th, Martin and Lucero got married!!! 

This couple came to our church at the very end of July seeking to be baptized. They had both just been baptized the week before at another church, but upon looking it up on his own accord, Martin realized that they need to be baptized in Jesus name, not just in the titles, father, son and holy ghost. He looked up three different Pentecostal church to call and enquire about being rebaptized in Jesus name. The first 2 churches didn't answer but Pastor, who does not normally answer the phone during the time Martin was calling, answered. That evening they came and were baptized in Jesus name. Soon after being baptized in Jesus name, they were both filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. We believe that God specifically wanted this very special couple in our church. 

What to do when the devil is chasing YOU!!!

Last night my pastor preached an amazing message called, "What to do when the devil is chasing you" So I thought for this weeks devotional, I would simply share with you all his message in my own words...

.

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" (1 Peter 5:8)

.

First of all, we, the children of God, REALLY DO have an enemy and he is after us, seeking to devour our souls. The devil is NOT a joke, he is real, he is alive, ANNNNNNNNND he is after YOU!!! 

.

The Bible says that Job was perfect...

"There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil." (Job 1:1) The devil went after Job... 

"Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them.And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (Take NOTE right here, the devil is roaming to and fro in the earth, LOOKING for souls to destroy! Literally, he is roaming and looking for YOU!) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD." (Job 1:6-12)

We know that after this the devil went full force after Job. Job, the wealthiest man in all the land was stripped of all his physical goods, including all his kids.  BUUUUUT Job did you NOT curse God as Satan said he would do. The devil met back with God and said its only because I did not touch his body. It was then that the devil got permission from God to smote him physically too. As we know, and if you don't, go ahead to the book of Job and read it for yourself, but Job was struck down with boils all over his body. 

.

TAKE NOTE: That devil could make NO MOVE on Job, without God's permission. So remember, the devil is still NOTHING!!! He's just the little man, BUUUUUUT we know THE BIG MAN!!! 

.

WHAT DID JOB DO WHEN THE DEVIL CHASED HIM???

1. He did NOT curse God as satan said he would. While he did ask God some questions, HE NEVER CURSED HIM!!!

2. He BLESSED GOD!!! "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." (Job 1:21)

.

What should you do when 

the devil is chasing you???

PRAISE THE LORD!!! There is NOTHING the devil hates more than our worship to God. That is what got him cast out of heaven, he wanted THE GLORY!!! Praise God! Praise God! Praise God!!! God your bigger than my problem! Your bigger than my failures! Your bigger than my dreams! Your blood is powerful to wash away any sin! Your bigger than the devil! God you are all powerful! You are all mighty! There is power in the name of Jesus! God you are the healer! You are the Prince of peace! 

.

3. The devil IS REAL, buuuuuuut so IS GOD!!! "For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him." (2 Choronicles 16:9) While it says that the devil is roaming this earth to and fro, seeking souls, the Bible also says that the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth....GOD DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO LEAVE HIS THROWN TO SEE, annnnnnd he is watching you, to show himself strong to those who hearts are seeking after him!!! 

.

I just want to encourage you all this week, no matter what is going on in your life, seek after God!!! He is there for you, to show himself strong in your life!!! If the devil is chasing you this week, JUST PRAISE GOD!!! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM! PRAISE HIM!!!

Best Church Picnic EVERRRR!!!

This past Sunday, we had THE FUNNNNNEST everrrrr church picnic!!! I knew it was going to be good when we all realized that it was going to be a 106 (#ArizonaSpring) out annnnnnnnd the only way we could think to cope and NOT cancel the picnic was...

A WATER FIGHT!!! 

Of course, I immediately began plotting against the men...that's the way we roll, its always automatic, MEN VS WOMAN!!! Bro. Sam said the WAR CRY, which is; WE EAT HOT DOGS...annnnnnd that's it...those are FIGHTING WORDS!!!

.

It's a long story from when we were all teens, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut, we would all have these TPing wars, guys vs girls, weeeeeeelllll we would always get they guys buuuuuut they guys could neverrrr truly get me and T back because, IF they got our house, that means they got our three brothers, soooooooo we were basically safe, a lil tp on T's car buuuut that's it, mean while us girls were doing all kinds a stuff and we would always sign it, THE HOT DOGS WERE HERE...(Hot Dogs is an acronym for us girls, buuuuuut it's TOP SECRET, you have to be one of us TO KNOW...hee, hee!!!)

.

Weeeeeelllll one day, T and I were house sitting, SOME HOW, the guys found out where we were annnnnnnd in the middle of the night they got the house we were house sitting, we did NOT discover it UNTIL AFTER THE SPRINKLERS CAME ON...the people were coming home that day, soooooo we had to hustle....buuuuuuuuuuut the thing that topped it off is, they wrote on the car windows, WE EAT HOT DOGS!! I was like, OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH NOOOOOOOOOOO THEY DIDN'T!!!! ahahahahahahaaa!!! eVERRR since then, FIGHTING WORDS!!! BAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Sooooooooooooo of course I immediately started talking smack, I'm like, we're gonna cream you guys like CORN!!! Bro. Sam was like, NOT SO FAST HOT DOGS, and sends a pic of 600 water balloons and super soakers...annnnnnnd Stultz was like, we were trained to win blah, blah, blah...I was like, YEAH, that's what Goliath said...

RIGHT BEFORE HE FELL!!!

Weeeeeeeeeellllllllllll with it being as HOT as it was, it didn't take long for the water fight to begin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnd I REFUSE to let the enemy have the first blow on me!!!  

There were a few on lookers buuuuuuuuuuut just about everyone got involved...even Bishop Abbott, that's what I love about the Abbotts, they know how to have fun, when it's TIME TO HAVE FUNNN, annnnnnnd I won't mention any names, AHEM... buuuuuuuuuuut one of her sons, MAY HAVE GOTTEN Bishop Sis. Abbott over the head...altho she was soooooooooo HOT she asked for one on her back...buuuuuuuuuuuuut NOT HER HEAD...BAHAHAHAAA!!! She was like, OH YOUR IN TROUBLE NOW!!! Buuuuuuuuuuut she was laughing!!! 

buuuuuuuuut SOMEHOW, despite him getting people, Pastor managed to stay quite dry because he stayed in his church clothes, sooooooooo when he changed to play clothes, we ALL came up with a plan to get him...buuuuuuuuuuut...you can NEVERRRR surprise pastor...NEVERRRRRRR!!!! 

Bro. Sam was like, Weeeeeell the Bible says NOT to touch the Lord's anointed...I was like, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT EVEN JESUS GOT BAPTIZED!!! AHAHAHAHAAA!!!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut I just want to say that MY HIGHLIGHT of the water fight was when I got Stultz like, SOOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOD!!! We had all been fighting, buuuuuuuuuut you know, he wasn't DRENCHED...I saw him just standing there, things were starting to die down, he was laughing with some of the guys...

THEN, I saw a big bucket under a spout the kids had been using to fill up water guns, I was like, okaaaaaaaaaaaay Mary, it's NOW OR NEVERRRRR, CEASE THE MOMENT!!! I nonchalantly picked up the bucket and swiftly began walking up behind him, I thought that there was NOOOOOOOOOO WAAAAAAAAAYYYY he was NOT going to figure it out, BUUUUUUUUUUUUUT I PRAYED, annnnnnnnnnd you guys, THE LORD HEARD MY PRAYER annnnnnnnnnd he shined down on me!!!

.

In that moment, as I thrust the water over his head with HYSTERICAL LAUGHTER...in that moment...I KNEW, TRULY HE DOES ANSWER PRAYERS!!! Then I immediately broke out singing, Victory is mine, victory is mine, VICTORY TODAAAAAAAAAAAY IS MINE!!! Oh it was sooooooooooooooo AWESOME!!! 

It was ACTUALLY pay back for THIS MOMENT about 6 years ago!!!

November Weekend Smorgasbord!!! Youth Rally-Hike-Birthday-Thanksgiving-Feast-2016!!!

LPC YOUTH RALLY 2016

Starting off with this past Friday, we had an AWESOME Youth Rally!!! Bro. Garrett preached a very much needed message to us all about living for God and if we want to make it to heaven and if we want to live for God it's NOT going to happen UNLESS we do something about it, we're not just going to make it coasting along!!!

 After wards all the young people had a great time socializing, eating and playing games. We had out fire pits, a coffee bar, an air hockey table, a ping-pong table and of course basketball!

Annnnnnnnnd we had something VERY COOL at our thing and that is a HOT COOKIE TRUCK...it was GREAT!!! A big hit!!!

Deedee's First Hike

I took Deedee up to Fountain Hills early Saturday morning and we hiked! She absolutely LOVED it! She's so athletic, I'm all hauling myself up the hill and she's like, YOUR TIRED??? LOL I was just a little disappointed tho that the fountain wasn't going, its soooooooo BEAUTIFUL and I wanted her to see that, buuuuuut oh well NEXT TIME!!!

BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnnd after the hike Deedee and I headed over to Scottsdale Ranch Park for the birthday party of some of my favorite kids, Arie, Sammy, MaKenna and Isacc!!!! Their parents decided since all their first 4 kids birthday are real close together in the fall that they would have one big party for all of them! It was great and funnnnn!!!

It was Arie's actual birthday tho!!! Love this girl, she's such a sweetie and fun, pretty much has my love life all planned out...I'm glad someone's working on it, bahahahahaha!!!

 Us ladies even joined the potato sack race!!! I was the first one to volunteer to join...LOL!!!

THANKSGIVING FEAST 2016

Had a great time today with my church family!!!

Its an LPC tradition to have a Thanksgiving Feast every year, memories of this from when I was a kid, was one of my FAVORITE times...LOVE IT!!!

Candy Rain after wards...parents were like, MORE CANDY??? Lol weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllll some of them...some of them were OUT THERE GETTING IT!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

 

 

Annnnnnnnnnnnd that was my awesome Smorgasbord weekend!!! I'm so grateful for such a funnnnn and busy weekend!!! Looking forward to MORE funnnnnn this week!!! Thanksgiving, birthdays, pizza making with my bro, black Friday shopping, a play...Wooooooohooooo!!!
