WCC 2018!!!

Weeeeeellll we can start off by saying that I made it through security with NO PROBLEM at all whatsoeverrrrr!!! 

 I got there superrrrr early because I was worried about it, with nothing to do, I just literally WALKED the airport, went through every terminal, the whole jazz...

When I found a PEETS...

I was like, NOOOOOOO WAAAAAAYYY... I MUST get one!!! 

Courtney picked me up from the airport screaming, WELCOME TO AMERICA!! WELCOME TO AMERICA!!! She even had God bless America blaring from her speakers!!! I was like, WOOOOOOW!!! People around us were looking pretty confused, Liiiiiike she looks American buuuuuuuuuuuut??? AHAHAHAAAA!!!

Courtney also diagnosed me on this trip with Restless leg syndrome, insomnia and ADHD!!! I was like, GIRLFRIEND, you got your MASTER'S DEGREE IN TEACHING!!! BAHAHAHAA!!! I can explain everything, I don't have restless leg syndrome, I'm just very energetic and can't stay still for very long, I don't have ADHD, I'm just a VERY RANDOM PERSON that changes from subject to subject and I lose my attention span and get distracted very easily, as for the insomnia, I'm not used to sharing my bed space with anyone...Just call that OLD MAID SYNDROME...BAHAHAHAAHAAA!!!

FREE MONEY-Object Lesson!!!

A while back I did an object lesson that I thought that I would share with you all, I had thought about doing it somehow as a devotional buuuuut I wanted you all to be able to use this in your churches as well to help encourage and inspire people!!!

What I DID: I laid money out, REAL money(Don't be CHEAP!!! It's NOT as effective if you use FAKE money, so shell out the $20 in ones for the sake of Christ!) around the front of the church, then I called on different adults that I had ALREADY talked to before church had started and told them what to say, AND I said to them, HEEEEEEEY! I'm passing out FREE MONEY today, all you have to do is come up here and find it, pick it up AND IT'S YOURS, would you like to come up here and get some money????

.

NOW who can resist an offer like that??? Only a VERY LAZY PERSON is going to be TO LAZY to bend over and pick up MONEY they see lying on the ground!!! Buuuuuuuuuut ONE BY ONE, each person that I called on gave me an excuse for WHY they didn't want to come up and pick up some of the money that was lying on the ground!!! (Now once again, this was all PRE-planned out BECAUSE in actual REALITY, there ain't NO ONE in my church that would ACTUALLY say NO to this offer...bahahahaha!!!)

They were ONLY single, one dollar bills, buuuuut STILL, money is MONEY, right???? I WAS LIKE, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU PEOPLE??? HOW CAN YOU BE TO BUSY AND TO LAZY TO COME UP HERE AND PICK UP SOME FREE MONEY???

.

Of course ALL THE KIDS were screaming, I'll come get it, I'll come get it, I'll come get it!!! (I'm pretty sure IF I remember correctly, that I did pick out some of the kids in the end to come pick up the FREE MONEY) Buuuuuut I went on to explain in my lesson that THE BIBLE says,"...I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest." (John 4:35)

.

I talked about HOW there is a harvest of souls that are WAITING for us to come along and pick them up, bring them to church, tell them about Jesus. They are READY, ALL we have to do is just GO, we just have to look, we just have to find them, we just have to bend over and pick them up, it's so simple, BUUUUUT we're LAZY!!!

.

When we don't go out and find the harvest, we are being JUST AS LAZY as all the people that made up excuses tonight to not come up here and pick up the money off the ground. THE BIBLE SAYS, "... The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;" (Mathew 9:37) 

.

WHO in their right mind would be to lazy, to bend over and pick up money off the ground??? And if that's so, then how much MORE should we be willing to bend over and pick up the harvest of souls God has out there?!?!?!

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth labourers into his harvest."(Mathew 9:38)

Lord, HELP ME,

NOT TO BE LAZY!!!

God's Dream for WHO you marry!!! ;)

Have you ever thought about it:  What has God called ME too? And furthermore, as a woman of God, how does that affect WHO we choose to marry?

I was then listening to some preaching one time and the preacher was talking about we are basically all born in love with ourselves and that ultimately that's who we care about the most...we are just by nature SELFISH!!! He was talking about how even when a girl falls 'IN LOVE' all she is thinking about is how that dream boat she is about to walk down the aisle to, IS going to make HER so happy!!! Its STILL about US!!!

That got me to thinking, how often, EVEN when striving to do things for God, how often are we still in SOME WAY thinking about OURSELVES?! Am I letting go completely or am I still holding onto my own will??? My own dreams? As a woman, your husband's call, becomes YOUR CALL. We're JUST the helper of the husband. This got me to thinking about how we need to change our perspective on how we are thinking about our future spouse. Its NOT about ME  and My dreams...MY CALL...it's all about GOD and, his goals, his desires, HIS DREAMS!!!

.

This causes me to rethink the way I pray about my future spouse. Instead of praying for WHO I want, I need to pray, "God, don't bring me to the one that is going to fulfill all MY DREAMS, but the one that I can help to fulfill all of YOUR DREAMS!!!

And if your a man, "God who is she that is willing to HELP ME fulfill your dreams?" Awwwwww soooo sweet!!! ;))))

I've been asked before if I feel called to a certain people or a certain type of ministry. I used to think yes, but over the years, God has allowed me to feel burdens and to reach out to people from just about every ethnicity, every age range and from all different back grounds. Rich, poor, black, white, Hispanic, Africans, Filipinos, single parents, ex-convicts, infants, teen mom's, Elderly, children, adults, foster kids, I've cried over them all. I've come to the conclusion, that ultimately, there is only ONE thing that God has specifically called me too and that one thing is SOULS!!!

 God you know my passions, my strengths and my weaknesses, who can I help the best to bring souls to you? I've started praying for God to help me NOT to hold on to MY OWN WILL and help me simply seek to fulfill HIS DREAMS.

I think God's dreams can simply be summed in this verse..."For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost"(Luke 19:10)

 

God has no specifics,

 just that IF IT'S LOST,

 it NEEDS to be FOUND!!!

Don't forget...

I've been hearing a lot lately about the Kony 2012 thing...a campain to stop a horrible terrorist in Uganda from turning children into murders, soldeirs and sex slaves. After reading and seeing and listening to the horror going on, I couldn't help but cry. All of the sudden,  people have been telling me about Kony 2012! To spread the word, to blog about this and...And this post isn't directed to anyone imparticular, just in case your one of the people that have mentioned Kony 2012 to me...:)...AND...

 I suppose that knowing that my love for children and my love for African people, I would join, I would promote, I would sponsor...and while I thought about it, I can't help but wonder, WHY its sooooo easy for us to get involved in this propaganda that, YES, is a good cause, BUT, we forget about OUR OWN!!!

There is a 15-year-old thats...

 going to have a baby...

 A13-year-old just had an abortion...

A 14-year-old just drank bleach...

 trying to end their life...

A 9-year-old was raped by her uncle...

She is a child prostitute...

He is a drug dealer...

He beats another kid...and you say, lets get him and beat him back...but did you know...HE BEATS..because HE was beaten...all his life and thats ALL HE KNOWS!!!

A 7-year-old just said she hates her life... 

she wants to die

Do you think about them?

Do you cry for them?

Do you pray for them?

There are...

 KIDS RIGHT HERE IN THE USA...

THAT NEED US!!!

They hurt, they cry, they steal,

 They hide, they curse, they break,

they're dirty, they're filthy, they stink.

. 

Yet we find it hard to go near them...to touch them...to love them...ugh they're just to much...to far gone...to much work... So we send our money, and hope that someone else will do our work...a bunch of liberal minded someones that don't even have the answer!!!!

 I'm NOT trying to take away from what anyone is doing for anyone in far away countries...its is ALWAYS good to help the hurting...BUUUUT...I am forever thankful that a pastor in Missouri had a burden for New York City!!! I am forever thankful, that he sent a man from his church that was willing to answer that call!!! I am FOREVER THANKFUL, that before that man answered the call to a foriegn field, he answered the call to a city in his own country!!! I am forever thankful for the lady that witnessed to the lady down the street from her...MY MOM!!! Oh how I am soooo thankful for that!!!

 I thank God for missioniaries and the people that answer the call to far away places...BUT some of us need to get a burden for people RIGHT HERE!!! YES... I hope and I pray they get Kony!!! Yes...help the kids overseas...BUUUUUT...in all your helping, in all your doing...

don't forget about the kid down the street...

they NEED Jesus TOO!!!

AMAZING!!!

Sis. Ikerd came and talked to the ladies in our church tonight...it was AMAZING!!! The tears were just falling out of my eyes...I have SOOOO much I want to say about TONIGHT...BUUUUT for now I just want to leave you all with this picture!!!

Let us NOT look to the hero's of this world... to try and live our lives to be like them. We don't need to be idolizing corrupted people, living imoral lives and dying from overdoses. We need to be striving to be like THE ONES, that have a BURDEN for the people living a life of corruption. Let our heros be THE ONES that are willing to die for a soul!!!!
