The End of Heritage 2016!!! (Part 3)

BACK TO HERITAGE!!!

Thursday for Lunch we went to this place called Mint Thai, it was sooooooooooo GOOOOOOOD!!! This is another pick by Hanna and I must say, she is VERY good with finding stuff on YELP!!! And plus we all had so much fun together!!! Daisy and I had several laughing fits about who knows WHAT!!! So then Stultz is like REALLY GOOD at taking large group pictures, so we were saying that he's like the King of GROUPIES!!! And I'm the Queen of selfies and how the next time Stultz preaches its going to be about how its NOT all about your SELFIE, you NEED to include the whole GROUPIE...annnnnnnnnnd then I come running to the alter laying down my cell phone...LOL...Well you had to be there!!! Plus we had a REALLY funny waitress that was just adding to the craziness with her own funny comments!!!

OH annnnnnd the ICED THAI TEA WAS AMAZING!!!

Jen Lord and I, I love Jen! We have our talks, several times a month, here we are catching up during choir practice!!!

Friday night we all had a BLAST at Perkins, buuuuuuuuuuuuut no pics!!!! I told a few life stories and we got to meet, THE PENTECOSTAL SANTA CLAUSE!!! LOL (Inside Joke!) Oh ANNNNND THEN when I was talking one time, unbeknownst to ME, the guys decided to COUNT how many times I said, "LIKE" they said 14 times in like 20 seconds...WHATEVERRRR!!!

Then after that we went back to our hotel, we got there at like 2 AM and Jonathon and Aaron were like, should we go check out the ballroom to see if anyone is still up there??? I was like, I think they said that it closed at 2 am, buuuuut we went up there anyhow and let me tell you something, THE PARTY, was STILL ROLLING in FULL SWING!!!

I just noticed that Colorado Springs is BEAUTIFUL!!!

We listened to audio story dramas all the way home!!! I was surprised that Stultz's favorite story was "Jessica's First Prayer" anyway, As we drove Jonathon said that we couldn't listened to "The Haunted Room" till it got dark!!!LOL And it was super cool cuz it was storming in the story while they were driving, THEN it started storming as WE were driving...Buuuuuuuuuuut then my sis and MJ got freaked out when we got the part where the house servant is talking about the "ghosts" LOL

Soooooooooo we listened instead to "The Hiding Place" Which is an ABSOLUTE amazing story!!! I now want to go one day to Holland and visit The Ten Boom's home where they built their secret room...that would be AWESOME!!! Anywayz, we listened to that story til we literally GOT HOME!!! ALL In all it was an AWESOME TRIP!!!

Can't wait for Heritage 2017!!!

Awwwwww!!! I love teddy bears...I admit tho that when I'm scared or have a nightmare, I STILL do what my mom taught me to do, I put my Bible under my pillow, it was and still is, THE ULTIMATE CURE FOR BAD DREAMS!!! I tell you my friends, it works EVERYTIME!!!

WHY THE NAME???

I was listening to a story one day on the radio and the man was telling a story about a little boy that was lost in the grocery store. So this little boy started calling out his mommy's name! He said, "Heather! Heather! HEATHER!!!" Finally his mommy heard him and came and rescued him from being lost. But after she hugged him and calmed him down she asked him WHY he called her Heather and not just MOMMY??? And the little boy said, because Mommy, there are A LOT of mommies in this store...BUUUUUUUUUUUT I WANTED...

Now, this had absolutely NOTHING to do with the point of the story that the radio was saying, buuuuuuuuuut this got me to thinking, when I was in college, writing for the college paper, I was writing an inspiring story and I was quoting the girl that the story was written about and I wrote, that she said she found love in the arms of Jesus. My teacher, who was a "Christian" said, how about, INSTEAD of saying in the arms of JESUS, how about we paraphrase her to say she found love in the arms of GOD! I was just kinda like, okaaaaaay buuuuut I don't see WHAT the difference is, because JESUS IS GOD!!!

 She said, well because when you say God, people are MORE ACCEPTING of that, because almost everyone believes in God in some sort of way or the other. Muslims, Jews, Hindu, Budhists, Bahai, ...they all believe in God, so they won't mind reading God, buuuuut WHEN YOU SAY, Jesus, now your being exclusive, because most people believe in God, buuuuut they don't believe that JESUS IS GOD!!! Weeeeeeeeellll...this DID NOT SET WELL WITH ME AT ALL!!! I mean, I HAD NO problem with simply saying God, UNTIL she explained to me WHY! That's what I call watering down and diluting the message, compromising...annnnd YES...also the reason WHY I didn't make it in a career of Journalism!!! LOL

Because, this world is filled with gods, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut...when I have a problem, when I have a need, when I am afraid, when I need a shelter, when I need a friend, when I need a comforter, a way maker, a miracle maker, when I'm scared and alone, I DON't just want just any ol "god", I SAY JESUS!!!

BECAUSE...

I WANT MY GOD!!!

A Friend!!! (Repost from 2010)

Note from Classic Mary Moments: Okaaaaaaaayyyy so I could probably just say NOTE from MARY, buuuuut it sounds more EFFECIENT the other way!!! Please bear with me for this week and enjoy some reposts!!! I have been soooooo BUSY and your sooooo NOT even going to believe with WHAT!!! Cleaning my friends, CLEANING!!! The older I get the more I am into cleaning and organizing my stuff...so mature right??? Organizing Hello kitty and all things glittery, pink and FLUFFY, sooooo ADULTISH...hee, hee!!! Anywayz, like I said, the older I get the more I am into keep things in order, I know, WEIRD, anywayz, I am cleaning and purging, reorganizing and going through like LITERALLY EVERYTHING in my room!!! That's ALL I have been doing this week, the only day I took a break was Wednesday, to prepare a lesson for Wednesday School and picking up the kiddos...buuuuut yeah, if anyone's interested you may actually find some interesting stuff in our dumpster, highschool year books and old love letters..bahahaha!!!! Sooooooo yeah, enjoy the reposts this week and you'll get some NEW stuff NEXT WEEK...Don't kill my cleaning endeavor!!!

A friend!!!

My mom testified at church a couple of weeks ago, and she shared something that I had NEVER heard before!!! It was soooo neat I just have to share it with you all!!!

She said that when we lived in New York, before we got in church, one of the things that prompted her to EVEN go to church at all, was that she was looking for a friend. She said that although there were people our family associated with, she didn't feel like she really had her own friend. She was hoping for someone that she could do stuff with her or just talk with on the phone! So when the Sis. Kathy, the lady across the street from us invited my mom to church, one of the things that prompted her to go was she thought..."Maybe if I go, I'll find a FRIEND!!!" She said that there were a lot of people that she met at that church that she enjoyed fellowship with, BUT she says that when she got the Holy Ghost, she got a friend that has NEVER left her side. We were only at that church for nine months before we moved to AZ, she left behind her aquantances at that church, BUT Jesus, came right along with her!!! Its been 25 years, and she says that Jesus is STILL the best friend she has ever had!!!

 JESUS wants to be YOUR friend!!! GO TO JESUS!!! He is THE BEST FRIEND YOU CAN EVER HAVE!!!

Funeral thoughts!!! (Repost!)

I'm sitting there this morning JUST THINKIN about DEATH annnnd I just busted up laughing!!!  Yes really, I started laughing soooooo hard!!! I was jus thinkin about if I died, right NOW, as a SINGLE-29-year-old Apostolic young lady... 
I WONDER...

Which SINGLE Apostolic guys would come to my funeral??? AHAHAHA!!! TOTAL MARY THOUGHT!!!  I texted my sister that at work this morning and she was like, "YOU ARE soooo CREEPY!!!" LOL!!!

 Seriousley tho, I was just sitting there thinkin, LIKE OMW! i wonder if Ching-Chong-Chow would come to my funeral??? Annnnnd THEN a huge conflicting thought comes into my mind!!! The fact that IF he did come...I would have no way of ever knowing or finding out!!!! *Sigh Oh the problems that come when your cRaZy!!! Hmmmm....maybe, just MAYBE God would let me peek my eyes open to see when Ching looked into the casket!!!

There i am laying there...lookin all whateverrrr...LOL...My eyes are shut as I peacefully sleep...

(Yes, I think I would be buried in my Italian girl hoody...thats how much I love it and it represents ME!!!)

People are just looking in the casket at this sleepin beauty that has passed on to glory land...

ANNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNND THEN HE walks by annnnnnd allll of the sudden, God just allows my eyes to slit open slightly, as I peek out and see him gazing at me...

My thoughts would be YES!!! He may NOT have wanted to MARRY ME...buuuuut...at least he came to my funeral!!! Don't be JEALOUS LADIES!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Annnnnd then could you imagine HIS thoughts!!! He would be like, Did her eyes just flutter open?! I coulda sworn she just peeked at me!!! She DID!!!! SHE LOOKED AT ME!!!! Duuuuuuuuuuuude, EVEN in her death she STILL STALKS ME!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

OMW!!! Just the thought cracks me up!!! After I took the above pic with my eyes slitted open this morning I just could NOT stop laughing EVERY TIME I LOOKED at it!!! Then I had made some soup for my sis, I  invited one person over for lunch and then the next thing I knew I was feeding like five people from church lunch...sooooo I showed them my pic and told them about slitting my eyes open at my funeral and I was like laughing soooooo hard!!! My sister was like, Okaaaaay LOOK AT HER... she is making herself laugh the hardest of all!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!! I sooooooo LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE BEING ME!!!

Tonight, I Mary Frances Ginty, went to a store and I was in such AWWWW of this UNFAMILIAR STORE to me, it felt like I was in another land...a foreign country, across the ocean, in another continent... It was almost as if the clouds opened up and a bright light shined down from heaven...announcing my arrival!!!! 

I was like OMW, is this IT???

Am I FINALLY IN AFRICA???

Then I heard a deep voice say, welcome to Autozone, Can we help you???

Apparently, the Autozone employees could tell I live in a GIRL'S WORLD and that it was ALL FORIEGN TO ME!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Soooooooooo A few weeks ago, when I was in Roswell, after pre-service prayer but before church actually started, Bro. Foster told everyone in his church to take some time to read from their Bibles before church started!

Sooooooooo i'm sitting there, TOTALLY distracted because I'm so excited to see everyone and everyone's been coming over, giving hugs, shaking hands and just saying HI! Buuuuut I am determined to read my Bible with everyone else, DESPITE how distracted I am feeling! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllll, Daisy turns to me after about five minutes and with a smirk on her face she whispers, YOU ARE SOOOOOOO NOT READ YOUR BIBLE RIGHT NOW!!! I'm like, WHATEVERRRR!!! How would you even know??? She's trying not to laugh as I glance down at my lil palm size Bible...THEN I START LAUGHING...

IT WAS UPSIDE DOWN!!!

2. A Visitation From Your Future

Brother Nathan Morton preached a message about our future and just trusting in God! I think the thing that he said that stood out to me the most was about how we worry SOOOOO MUCH about our future and what is going to happen, buuuuuuuut IF we'll just stay in God's will, we are literally BOUND to his will and CAN NOT BE SEPERATED FROM IT! So IF we stay in his will, HIS WILL, WILL BE FULFILLED IN OUR LIVES!!! Then at alter call Elder Johnson sang this song...

3. First Generation Response

This message was about NOT losing our response to God over the generations of being Pentecostal! Not to forget where we came from or the awe of this truth that new converts have. To keep that FIRST generation response to God! That message REALLY got me! I was just praying, God help me to love you the way my mom did and to not ever lose that awe of  you! Also, I believe it was this preacher that brought out the point that, YEAH, in this day and age we're fighting battles in this world that our parents NEVER had to fight, BUUUUUUT, he said JUST REMEMBER, your parent's that came into this truth before you, FOUGHT BATTLES FOR YOU, that you'll NEVER HAVE TO FIGHT!!! That was one thing I actually had talked about with my mom before she died, she was telling me, you know Mary, there are things that I wish I had done and taught you guys that I never did and she was telling me, Mary, there are things that you do, BUT its not because I taught them to you! ANd I was like, BUT MOM, there are battles you fought for ME that I'll never have to fight! I HAVE NO IDEA what its like, to GIVE UP WEARING PANTS, I have NEVERRR even had a desire to wear them, to dress immodestly, to cut my hair...MY MOM FOUGHT THE BATTLE AND PAVED THE WAY of HOLINESS FOR ME, NOW I in turn can fight battles preparing the way for those that come after me!!! I don't ever want to lose these things!!!

Reason #15328 WHY I'm NOT a NURSE!!!

Can you everrrr imagine ME, Mary GINTY as a nurse??? HEH! Believe it or NOT, when I was 16-years-old, they were SOOOOOO desperate for a camp nurse at JR. CAMP, they asked, TOLD me I was doing it...Lets just say, its NEVERRRR HAPPENED AGAIN...buuuuuut we'll save THAT story for ANOTHER post!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!

Sooooooooo Anywayz, the other day one of the kids was telling me her stomach was hurting her on the way to church! So i'm like, are you HUNGRY??? She's like, NO! I'm like, do you feel like your going to throw up??? She's like, NO! I'm like, ummmm do you  need to go potty??? She's like, NO! I'm like, ok, weeeeeellll Idk what to tell you then honey! She's like, Wellll it just hurts whenever I BREATH!!! I'm like, Oh OKaaaaaay then... easy solution to this problem...

STOP BREATHING!!!
