Why I TRIED gardening!!!

Sooooooooooo I recently bought some fresh basil 🌿 and mint plants! With the mint leaves i've been making some really bomb creamer for my coffee in the mornings annnnnnd with the basil...WEEEEELLLLL...that's a story for ANOTHER DAY!!!! Hee, hee!!! ;)

So my sister was like, do you remember when you were trying to grow all your plants on the back porch? I was like KINDA...that was a REALLY LOOOOOOONG time ago!!! She's like, what made you decide to do that??? I'm like, IDK, its sooooo long ago, maybe it was just one of my phases!!! Then I"m like OH WAIT, i remember...

It's cuz I was doing a study on the book of Proverbs!!!! My sister just looks at me and says questioningly, ANNNNNND??? I'm like, well MORE SPECIFICALLY PROVERBS 31!!! She's like, ANNNNNNNNNNNND???? I'm like, I was striving to be a Proverbs 31 woman, you know, "She planteth a vinyard..." Sooooooo I was trying to start a garden!!! ;)

My sister was just like WOWWWWWWWW!!! And then O says in his PREACHER voice, weeeeeeeellllllll, THIS is just getting WEIRD!!!! 

I know, I know, I knooooooooow...I'm cRaZy!!!! I just really want to be a PROVERBS 31 woman...My vineyards didn't grow to swell...soooooooo some Proverbs 31 woman just goeth to TRADER JOES for their vineyards!!!;) BAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

One ☝️ of my brothers said when they got their DD it was dried out, which is what is sooooooooo annoying to me, aside from having the world’s worst donuts 🍩, they just aren’t consistent with something that is good, ALWAYS tasting good!!! Proud Auntie Moment!!!

Soooooooo this past Sunday, in Sunday School, we had a trivia question for the kids, we were dividing the kids up too two different age groups, 9 and up and 8 and under got an easier question. well O is 10 now soooooo he's in the older kid's group!!! So I told my sister, well is that fair for him to get a harder question...I mean...I adore the kid and I'm just thinking liiiiiike weeeeelll ya know he's special needs etc...I'm always looking out for the underdog right??? I mean mind you, the kid is SUPERRRR smart, like literally he really is....buuuuut STILL!!!

My sister just says: well he's 10 sooooo he's with the big kids!!!! Sooooo we give the question: What is the first book of the Bible to be written??? And we told the kids we'll give you a hint, it's NOT GENESIS!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeelllll GUESS WHO WAS THE ONLY KID THAT KNEW????

I actually have a list with 15 ideas written out and outlined from the New Testament buuuuuuuut now I'm officially writing the next book!!! I figure book #2 will actually go a lot quicker because I'll know better about the process and how to proceed with things! (IF ONLY the business aspect of publishing a book was as EASY as the writing part-UGH!!!)

Weight Loss Goals!!!

Sooooooo I wanna lose 26 pounds by the end of the year!!! My weight loss coach...YES...I have a weight loss coach...BAHAHAHAHAAA...anywayz she wants me to lose 40...which I'm all for buuuuuuuuuut lets also be real...THE HOLIDAYS!!! I mean, I'm jus sayin!!!!

Although, it all depends on HOW motivated I am, liiiiiiike I ACTUALLY stuck to low carb on my birthday...buuuuuuuut idk if ill ACTUALLY do that for Thanksgiving annnnnnnnnd CHRISTMAS!!! I mean really HOW can we celebrate the birth of Jesus without carbs??? EVEN HE ATE BREAD!!!!

And my brother wants me to do keto with him and I just wanna do low carb-high protien lifestyle----buuuut i've been eating to much sugar soooooo I gotta cut that out again----I'm just NOT sure about the whole HIGH FAT thing, I'm liiiiiike what about HIGH protien with fat and veggies---I'm not like drinking oil or anything crazy...bahahahaaa...buuuuuuuut I said I'll TRY IT for two weeks and if I'm NOT down a TON of weight I'm eating an apple!!!! Buuuuuut just so  you know I'm NOT EATING PORK RINDS!!!! That's soooooooo DISGUSTING!!!! He's like they actually don't taste bad!!! I'm like I don't care HOW they taste...I can't eat pigs skin....I just can't!!! Annnnnd my brother is trying to convince me that the fat on like steak and stuff is SOOOOOOOOOO good!!! I'm like NO ITS SICK!!! I don't like the way it feels in my mouth and I'm NOT eating it!!! My fat of choice is BUTTER...thank you very much!!!

 Also, I had read these reviews about some keto premade foods, like these keto cups that are suposed to be chocolate candy...OMW those things are literally disgusting...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! and then this like this soup broth that the lady said was sooooooooo amazzzzzing...duuuuuuude it was also sooooo GROSS!!! Buuuuuuut not as nasty as the keto cups...I was literally gagging for those!!!! My brother was like, don't buy premade keto food, your a good cook, just cook  your own stuff!!! I was like TRUE!!! I mean, unless it's a twinkie, premade food is usually pretty gross anyways weather it's keto or not- frozen and packaged meals are all the same!!!!

....soooooo Soooooooo basically I'm just doing the diet that works for me, buuuuuut without any apples or fruit!!🙄 I started today...I'll let you guys know how it's going next Friday!!!! Soooooooooooooo Keri made the mistake when she did the car rental that I was going to be the driver and i was liiiiiiike, NOOOOOO.... I can't do this... I don't know this city....I was FREAKING OUT...and her car of choice was HUGE- I don't like driving big cars my sister's mini van is too big for me annnnnd this thing was like a SEMI-TRUCK-I think it was for off -roading!!!! I almost crashed on the way out of the car rental!!!! I was liiiiiike, I'm sorry Keri, I know they said your legally to young BUUUUUUUT YOU ARE DRIVING THIS THING THIS WEEK...I.Can't. I just CANNNNNNNNNNNT!!!! We will just have to pray that God protects us admidst this illegal activity-it's either that or we risk death to and from church EVERYDAY!!! Soooo she drove!!! LOL

Weeeeeelllll guys i'm sttill trying to catch up on all the events from July...I have a library membership now soooooo i'll be having more access to the internet...I can blog from my phone, it's just harder to upload a ton of pics and write a lot at one time...anywayz, soooooo long as I dn't get kicked out of here...the guy two computers away from me just tattled to the security guard that my mask was down!!! 🙄 First of all, we're 6 feet away from each other, there are plastic walls in between each computer annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd my mask is literally sooooooo thin I don't see HOW it could make  a difference!!!! 🙄🙄🙄 YESSSSSS I said security guard...theres ACTUALLY A SECURITY GUARD in this joint!!! Surprising things I’m NOT in to...

I saw 👀 this post saved in my drafts from May and thought I should finish and post it!!! Here are some things that I think 🤔 people would be surprised that the Maryness does enjoy!!!

I. Pets-I knooooow this seems hard to believe because I do love cuddling with fluffy things, buuuuuuut they’re to much responsibility! They tie you down and hinder you from travel 🧳!!! And they smell and drool and poop 💩!!! I’m not saying my spouse can’t have a pet, I’m jus sayin if I’m left to take care of it, it could be 💀 not good!!! 😝 we do have a dog… Buuuuuuut I’m not responsible for it!!!! Lol she is really beautiful and sweet though……buuuuuuut if I did have a pet it would be a cat!!! I had a cat named Freckles growing up and we were soooooo close!!! She ate pasta and would run to me when I SCREAMED!!! They don’t smell or drool and I love hearing their purrrr and they’re tails swishing- it’s like they flirt with their tails!!!  Buuuuuuut I’m not planning on getting a cat 🐈 anytime soon… my sister despises them annnnnd I don’t want to be tied down!!!

2. zoos- soooooooo boring UNLESS you can interact with the animals!!! I do looooooove the deer 🦌 farm in Willams AZ!

3. Aquariums- I’ve neverrrrrr had fun looking at fish 🐠 🐟 I don’t even like eating them!!!

4. Most museums- I can’t say all buuuuuut if it’s not insanely gorgeous or interactive, I’ll probably be bored!!! Alcatraz island was super cool, the glass museum in Washington and the miniature museum in Tucson loved and the kids museum 

5. music- I like music 🎶 buuuuuut I don’t like crave it or go nutz if I don’t have it continuously playing! Maybe it’s because I have my imagination 💭 if I’m by myself!!!

6. choir practice - this is the main reason I neverrrrr sing in the choir anywhere!!!! It’s just soooooooooo boring!!!

7. play practice- same thing!!! Lol

8. Wedding rehearsals - same as the above!!! In the Philippines we didn’t have it and it turned out fine!!

9. linking arms in weddings - its soooooo awkward and weird linking arms with a stranger and usually a MARRIED MAN!!! Why do we have to link arms?! Actually why can’t we just walk down alone?!? 

10. shoes- being flat footed, I’m super picky about shoes!!! I only have one pair of church ⛪️ shoes!!! I do have lots of Nikes and Ugg boots though!!! 

11. purses- I only have three purses and a backpack 🎒!!! One church purse, 2  casual purses and a backpack!!! I hate switching things around from purse to purse!!!

12. Counselor- being a camp counselor! I’ve only done it twice in my life! Once when I was 18 and once when I was 30ish annnnnnnd I’m neverrrrr doing it again!!! I would much rather do Sunday School and the church van 🚐 then do that!!!

Prayer 🙏 answering God!!!

I testified this week at church I’m really thankful this week God answered some prayers about some things that I have been praying about!!! I paused and said weeeeeeelll… NOT the husband prayer, buuuuuuut a few other things that have been stressing me out!!! ( yes, I actually said that in my testimony…my church knows and loves me and excepts anything to come out of my mouth at any moment annnnnd yes, Mary does ACTUALLY get stressed 😩 about things!) 

.

There were some things I was really stressing out about with my book, let’s just say, a writer I AM, and a business woman I am NOT!!! (Wouldn’t that be perfect if God had a BUSINESS MAN HUSBAND FOR ME??? Also a Mr. Fix- It would be good too with the likes of me!!!! Bahahahahaaa!)  Buuuuuuuuut anyways, I was praying about it in the morning and then I got a phone call by noon 🕛 which brought me great relief!!! 😅 The book is still happening, just gonna take longer than I planned!!!!

Annnnnnnnnd I really thought my car was done for and I have a really good amount of money 💰 for a new car 🚙 buuuuuuuuuuut nothing was happening…. Nobody found anything and I was literally ready to just go buy ANYTHING buuuuuuuut didn’t actually do that!!! I was going to just get my car junked but once again waited and my brother came over and was like, it’s just your starter if you want me to just fix it I can?!? I was liiiiiike YEEEEEEEESSS!!! So I got my car miracle!!! Literally resurrected from the dead 💀!!! Now I just gotta get insurance back ion it and it registered!!!

Odin is REALLY DISAPPOINTED ☹️ that I’m NOT getting a new car 🚗… he had my new car in his mind as a Tesla … Bahahahahaaa … buuuuuuuuuut I’m just THANKFUL, so, so, SOOOOOOOOO THAAANKFUL TO HAVE WHEELS!!!! Thank you Jesus!!!!

Update for those that have been asking! While he still can’t go out in public, attend family get togethers or go back to his church ⛪️ yet, he stays busy behind the scenes cooking and helping out where he can! He will still be out of work for at least a year but he is definitely moving forward as much as he can and on the road to recovery ❤️‍🩹!!!! 🙏🙌🏽

Mystery of the peppers 🫑

Soooooooo JBros Cooking gave my sister and i stuffed peppers on Sunday to share and let’s just say they were soooooooo good there was ALMOST World War three over them!!!😅😇 (you’re NOT Ginty til you’ve had a real fight over food… that awkward moment when you’re waiting for me to say juuuuuust kidding!!! Buuuuuuut I neverrrrrr do!;)

Well I told my sister you they’re really soooooooo easy to make and basically pretty healthy!!!! I was gonna make them REALLY HEALTHY and mix cauliflower rice in with the meat instead of regular rice 🍚 buuuuuuuuut my sister said to just do regular rice cuz it’s not even a lot 🙄 sooooooo I did! 🤷‍♀️

Weeeeeeeeeeelllll it was in the oven for an hour and I didn’t smell ANYTHING!!!! So I opened the oven and the cheese wasn’t even melted!!!! I was like that’s weird… they only have a few more minutes to go buuuuuuuuut they don’t even look 👀 close to being done!!!

I was liiiiiike hmmm 🤔 maybe I should put the temperature a little higher!!!! I went to change it aaaaaaaand whada ya know… it wasn’t even on!!!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😇 I was liiiiiike wow Mary, WOOOOOOWWW!!!🤣😝🤪

That was NOT the end of the Maryness either… let’s just say I put to much water 💦 at the bottom of the pan and basically made things TOO JUICY!!!! Story of my life!!!🙄😜😇 I also got a few new cooking battle scars on my legs!!! 🥵😅🤷‍♀️

PS my sister said the peppers 🫑 tasted really good!!! I was liiiiiike, THEY DID??? She’s like, yes! The kitchen was destroyed in the process, buuuuuuut yes they taste 👅 very good!!!
