Why little???

Soooooooo i've noticed something recently, 

WHENEVERRRR anyone says something about the mother of Jesus, 

THEY ALWAYS SAY...

There was a LITTLE virgin girl named Mary...blah, blah, blah etc...and they go on to make their point...now your probably wondering what my issue is??? Thank you for asking, I am HAPPY TO TELL YOU!!!!

WHERE IN THE BIBLE DOES IT SAY THAT SHE WAS LITTLE??? Why does she ALWAYS have to be referred to as little??? Was she little??? I don't know because THE BIBLE DOES NOT EVERRRR refer to her size!!!!

It is ASSUMED that she was little...buuuuuuuuut lets read the Biblical description of Mary...

"Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” (Luke 1:26-28)

The Biblical description of Mary is that she was: 

1. A virgin 

2. Highly favored 

3. Blessed among women

4. Her name was Mary

.

Now in my personal opinion, she probably, most like WAS LITTLE!!! I mean there's like a 99.9% chance she WAS LITTLE!!! BAHAHAAA!! Buuuuuuuuuuuuut, THE BIBLE DOES NOT SAY THAT!!!

 Maybe, JUST MAYBE...

She was a BLESSED, 

HIGHLY FAVORED, 

NO SO LITTLE

VIRGIN GIRL NAMED MARY!!!

You neverrrrrr know, 

SHE COULD'VE BEEN FLUFFY!!!

Years ago, I had a guy friend that was explaining a conflicting situation he was in with another young lady. He said, she wanted him to meet her at a coffee shop to just discuss something as friends. He didn't feel like this was a good idea because it may give people the wrong impression of them being in a relationship. Apparently the girl was insistent, etc...Now he was asking for MY ADIVCE!!! AHAHAHAAA!!!

To explain himself he said, MARY, If you saw me sitting in a quaint little café, talking with a beautiful, single, godly young lady, what would you think?

Without hesitation, I said, To be perfectly honest with you...

 it would be RATHER hard... 

to look at myself...

A lot of texts...

Soooooooo a few Wednesday nights ago, my pastor got up to preach, and he says to everyone to sit down, so we all sit down. Then he says THE MOST SHOCKING THING TO MY EARS...

I have a lot of texts I need to read...

I'm just sitting there like, WAIT, your gonna read your text messages before preaching???  I'm just COMPLETELY FLOORED!!! 

.

Buuuuuut at the same time, i'm like, weeeeeellll...I've probably gotten a lot of text messages sent to my phone since church started...should I catch up on my phone texts before he starts preaching too??? 

.

Like legit, ONE HAND is reaching to my phone and the other part of me is like, NO don't get your phone out during church...buuuuuuuuuuut Pastor is gonna read his texts...I'm having this battle in my mind when my pastor says...

.

So now if you'll all stand and open your Bibles, 

MY FIRST TEXT

I'M GOING TO READ TONIGHT IS...

I was liiiiiiiiiike, OOOOOOOOH, he means he has a lot of texts to read from THE BIBLE!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllllll that makes A LOT MORE SENSE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

Apparently, when I asked everyone after church if they too had thought Pastor meant it was time to read text messages on the phone, I WAS THE ONLY ONE that was confused...WHATEVERRR!!! LOLOLOL

If you were Amish...

 What would be the hardest thing for you to NOT HAVE???

I like to randomly come up with thought provoking question and send them to my closest friends, just to hear their responses and how different or alike we are from each other!!! I don't always share them cuz well, sometimes their personal. Buuuuuuuut this one is interesting but I don't believe indulging anthing to personal!!! 

.

If your not familiar with the Amish religion, they are a form of Baptist that have clung to not changing with modern change. While some of this is good, like modesty and virtue and hard-working values, some of it is pointless in living a holy life to God, like no electricity and using a horse and buggy instead of a car. 

.

Obviously I full agree with living a Holy life unto God! I believe in separation from the world. Limiting our internet usage, guarding our eyes, our ears and our mouths. While I've live most of my life without a television in my home, I think most people, even people that have one, can understand that it is because there is so much trash on it and it can hinder and distract your walk with God, YET, turning on the lights has never distracted me from my walk with God, so it doesn't make sense to go with out! Technology, used PROPERLY can be a good thing!

Soooooooo in a list of things they don't have what would be the hardest???

No Car?

No Cell Phone?

Actually no house phone either?

No camera?

No Electricity?

No AC? (I havn't met any Amish that actually LIVE in AZ;)

No Mirrors?

No electronics?

No Wash Machine?

No store bought clothes? (Handmade and VERY homely clothing!)

As I was thinking about it, I thought it would be a toss up between a camera and mirror that would be hardest for me to give up. I take A LOT OF PICTURES annnnnnnnd weeeeeelllll...a mirror is WEEEEEEELLLL A MIRROR!!!! Jus sayin!!! LOL 

.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT then I remembered another thing that they very often have to give up, TALENTS!!!! Talents like writing and art and music!!! Those talents are considered vain or whateverrrr and I can't imagine NOT being able to write!!!! To have to supress a God-given talent that when used correctly, glorifies God!!!! That would INDEED be the hardest to give up!!!!

BUUUUUUUUUUUUT THEN I remembered one thing that I absolutely COULD NOT tolerate, NO EVANGELISM!!! As a Christian, that is THE ONE thing that literally makes NO SENSE to me!!! After salvation, and a walk with God, HOW CAN WE NOT HAVE A DESIRE TO REACH LOST SOULS!!! That is our calling!!! That is our goal!!! Souls, souls, souls!!! Pointing souls to Jesus!!!! 

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16)

Soooooo yeah, spiritually speaking, salvation and evangelism is the one thing I could not give up!!! Morally, I could NOT give up my God-given talent to write!!! And in monetary matters, Its a toss up between the camera and a mirror...BUUUUUUUUUUUUT THEN...cuuuuuuuuute clothes is right there too!!! After all, GOD CALLS US TO BE HOLY, NOT HOMELY!!! Hee, hee!!! I mean, imagine me NOT wear bright, vibrant colors! Imagine me without flowers and lace!!! Imagine me without hoodies and UGGS and fluff and fur and satin...Imagine me NOT SHOPPING!!!! 

Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay I think we all know I'd be shunned pretty quickly...buuuuuuut what about you guys??? Outside of evangelism, (AND THE TRUTH) what would be the hardest thing for you go without???? maryfranceswriting@gmail.com

Have you heard of the Amazon?

Sooooooooo as I said yesterday, we had the Nix, missionaries to Peru at our church Sunday morning. Well Bro. Nix had his wife come up and speak for a bit about their country. She gave a very intriuging talk on Peru, telling us all about the country enticing us with the beauty of the mountains, monkey island, BUUUUUUUUT especially with their food. Since then i've been looking up authentic Peruvian places to eat at here in AZ. 

.

I found on YELP a 4.5 star, Peruvian family owned little place here that I plan to try in the future called, El Chullo, they even have the traditional Leche cookie and their purple corn drink...who's up for a food adventure??? ME!!! AHAHAHAAAAA!!! I'll have to see if I can get anyone to go on an adventure with me...My sister is only game if I can guarantee her its NOT going to be TOO AUTHENTIC!!! AHAHAHAHAAAAA!!!

 Anywayz, aside from all that, Sister Nix mentioned that they have the amazon jungle there. She then said, has anyone here ever been to the amazon? I was sitting there like, AMAZON? This sounds familiar...hmmmmm...AMAZON... seems like i've heard of this place before... Perhaps I've even been... then it just hit me...
