Soooooooo the other day my friend Hanna calls me, I answer the phone and I'm like, HEEEEEEEEEYYYYY!!!! YOU ANSWERED!!! It's silent for a moment then,

Mary, I CALLED YOU!!!

I'm like, Oooooh yeah, I mean, I ANSWERED!!!

Like, HEEEEEEY!!! BAHAHAHAHAHA!!! She's like, WOOOOOOOW!!!

Need a friend???

My mom testified at church one time, and she shared something that I had NEVER heard before!!! It was soooo neat I just have to share it with you all!!!

She said that when we lived in New York, before we got in church, one of the things that prompted her to EVEN go to church at all, was that she was looking for a friend. She said that although there were people our family associated with, she didn't feel like she really had her own friend.

.

She was hoping for someone that she could do stuff with or just talk with on the phone! So when the Kathy, the lady across the street from us, invited my mom to church, one of the things that prompted her to go was she thought..."Maybe if I go, I'll find a FRIEND!!!"

.

She said that there were a lot of people that she met at church that she enjoyed fellowship with, BUT she said the friend she got, wasn't THE FRIEND she had been looking for. She said that when she got the Holy Ghost, she got a friend that has NEVER left her side. We were only at that church for nine months before we moved to AZ, she left behind her friends at that church, BUT Jesus, came right along with her!!! All her life long till she died she had Jesus, and she said that Jesus is STILL the best friend she has ever had!!!

What the Italians did for the Ethiopians...

"Did you know???..."
Soooooooo IF YOUR ITALIAN and you ever happen to be BEST FRIENDS WITH AN ETHIOPIAN, you'll find out these RANDOM bits of trivia about your Italian Heritage, that you never really cared to know before. 

Liiiiiiiiike for example, your just going about your day, minding your own business, being proud of your Italian heritage, and you hear, "YOU GUYS TRIED TO COLONIZE US!!!" Oh ummm...We did??? "Tried, you guys, TRIED to colonize us, but did NOT succeed!"

Yes, it's TRUE, according to WIKIPEDIA, I am ashamed to say, that us Italians, DID indeed TRY to colonize the Ethiopians. " in 1896, Ethiopia defeated the Italian colonial army in the Battle of Adwa. This victory signaled the decline of European colonialism in Black Africa." Ethiopia is the ONLY African country that has NEVER been colonized.

Then she goes on to tell me that the Italian invasion is the reason WHY Italian food is actually quite well known in Ethiopia. Plus, many of the Italians stayed and married amongst the Ethiopian people and there are actually quite a lot of Ethiopian-Italians. Also, many Ethiopians, her mom included, know how to make Italian food, sometimes made as separate dishes and sometimes integrated in with Ethiopian spices and dishes. Once again, according to WIKIPEDIA, it's called Italian Eritrean Cuisine.

Looking For A Friend???

Hanna!!!

Soooooooooooo liiiiiiiike I told  you all a few weeks ago, Hanna came to visit me!!! I'm still pretty thrilled about it!!!  Hee, hee!!!

Sooooooooo the first night I freaked out about "black" chips when we all went to Jason's Deli...LOLOL...well you know me...this was a news worthy moment in my life!!! BAHAHAHA!!!

Annnnnnnnnd since Hanna surprised me with a trip to AZ, I decided to surprise her with a trip to a place she's always wanted to go...

THE GRAND CANYON!!!

Except I kinda told her before hand...LOL!!!

This cliff was when she decided that a certain brother of hers...Ahem...Bro. Kifle...should never be taken to the Grand Canyon!!! LOL He just said, thanks for the idea!!! WOW!!!

It was actually pretty funny listening to couples warn each other bout not getting to close to the edge...there was always ONE dare devil and ONE worrier!!! it was pretty HILARIOUS!!!

One day, I want to hike down and take an elevator back up!!! Hee, hee!!!

Annnnnnnnnnnd I want to go to the south rim, annnnnnnnnnnnd  want to do the glass bridge walkway out..that would be sooooooooo COOL!!!

Hanna...she's just so Hannalicious!!! She looks soooooooo adorable in the fur...like a little black bear cub that to hug!!! Hee, hee!!!

Annnnnnnnnnd Wednesday night she got to go get the kids with me!!!

They loved her of course!!!

Then that night we drove her to the airport...buuuuuuuuuuut FIRST...DUTCH BROTHERS!!!! I think her trip to AZ can be summed up as, lots of, coffee, eating, shopping and of course, MORE COFFEE!!!

AnywayZ, I don't think its a coincidence that TODAY, of ALL DAYS, also just happens to be, NATIONAL CHOCOLATE CHIP DAY!!!

 Recently, one of my friends asked me HOW Hanna and I became friends? I was liiiiiiike WEEEEEEELLLL... to make the long story SHORT, I basically pursued a friendship with Hanna because I knew she was African!!! Yup, NO joke people!!! That's the honest to goodness truth!!! And she knows it to, if it wasn't for the fact that she was African, I don't know if we ever woulda become friends!!! See people, that's WHY you should always LOVE who you are, cuz you just NEVERRRR know if there is someone that has been waiting their WHOLE life to be friends with someone, JUST LIKE YOU!!! :)))))

Anywayz, aside from her being African, we instantly just clicked on spiritual matters...annnnnnnnd OF COURSE talking about guys!!! Hanna DO YOU REMEMBER our original theme song from WAAAAAAAY back in the day??? "He came looking for me!" Today, when we were all driving to the farm, that song came on and I was like, OH Stultz you gotta higher this song!!!! This is mine an Hanna's theme song!!! So Stultz starts listening to the words then just starts shaking his head and laughing!!! He's like, and for some reason I don't think you guys are singing about Jesus when you sing this!!! I'm like, Okaaaaaaaaay IF that's what you want to ASSUME, you can, buuuuuut that's NOT what I said!!! Hee, hee!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllll...I could go on and on and on as you know my mouth and hands have an almost endless ability to keep saying stuff...ahahaha...buuuuuuut...I'll just say that you've been a very GOOOOOOD friend to me and I thank God for bringing us all together as friends!!! Thanks for excepting me for who I am, in all my crazy-weirdness, my chocolate obsession, my purrrrring, my Maryness, and well as you say, all the things that make me MAR BEAR!!!
