cRaZy Proposal & My DREAM Proposal!!!

LOL! Okaaaaaaay whats she supposed to do with 99 iPhones??? I saw this and was just like, WHAAAAAAAAAT IN  THE WORLD??? I mean, its extremely generous buuuuut also extremely POINT LESS!!! In my estimation, 99 iPhones woulda cost this dude AT LEAST $20-30,00!!! That's a LOT OF MONEY!!! Ummmm... HOW ABOUT a down payment on a HOUSE???? That's what would impress ME!!! :))))

ACTUALLY that's MY DREAM PROPOSAL!!! YUP, that's right, we've already done MY DREAM DATE, NOW it's time for my DREAM PROPOSAL!!!  (My dream proposal is ACTUALLY just, A PROPOSAL...ahahaha)  For like my fiancé to buy a house, bring me to see it, then he gets down on one knee, takes my hand and says something along the lines of...

ACTUALLY YES...

Soooooooooo today I was just driving along, care freely, driver's window down, (Cuz it won't go up!;) letting the wind blow my hair in the breeze, and I started thinking about the story of Naomi and Ruth. My mind specifically went to the part RIGHT BEFORE Ruth says her famous words that we now use in weddings. The part where Naomi is telling her two daughter-in-laws to depart from her and go home with their own families. And this  part of the scripture specifically went through my mind...

"Turn again, my daughters, go your way; for I am too old to have an husband. If I should say, I have hope, if I should have an husband also to night, and should also bear sons; Would ye tarry for them till they were grown?..." (Ruth 1:12-13)

Basically, in todays language, what Naomi was saying was, "EVEN I got married today, annnnnnd I got pregnant, and the baby HAPPENED TO BE MALE, WOULD YOU BE WILLING TO WAIT FOR THEM TILL THEY WERE GROWNUPS TO BE YOUR HUSBANDS??? And from what is shown in the Bible, these two VERY SINGLE CHICKS, never actually answered her question!!!

Soooooooooo IF your an AIO listener ANNNND a faithful reader of this blog, you will know that I was ABSOLUTELY devastated when in the last AIO album, Wooton, the LOVE OF MY LIFE, proposed to Penny!!! Refresh your memory HERE!!!

As you all know, I was heart broken! I was devastated!!! I had risked my heart for the 30-something-fluffy-kindhearted-crazy-vanilla man and he CRUSHED MY HEART!!! Soooooooooo When the first episode of album 59 came on and Penny was talking and I was making snide comments, my sister was like, OK i'm finding this SOOOO CREEPY, my sister is JEALOUS of a fictional character!!! BAHAHAHAHA!!!

Buuuuut just for the record i'm starting to think that Penny is REALLY ANNOYINGLY DUMB!!! Hanna and I discussed this, her latest predictament, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT MARRIAGE IS!!!  Girrrrrrrl, you should of thought about that BEFORE you even got into a RELATIONSHIP!!! Hellllllllooooooo!!! The purpose of courtship is to see IF your compatible for MARRIAGE!!! Like DUH!!! Yes, i'm aware of the fact that these people are FICTIONAL, buuuuuut the writers of the program are NOT and they shoulda written that part BETTER!!! Jus sayin! Annnnnnnnnd her personality REALLY doesn't seem to balance Wooton out very well, I'M JUS SAYIN!!! (Not that mine would either!!! LOL;)

I'm like, OMW, I can't believe it!!! I was just telling Hanna the other day that I thought I would probably end up marrying a white man! She was like, WHY? I'm like, because Hanna, there's like a shortage of Chocolate men in Pentecost...at least in these parts...LOL and THEN BAM out of no where, CHOCOLATE SHOWS UP!!! Annnnnd NOT only is he chocolate, he's like a POLICE OFFICER TOO!!! A chocolate man in a uniform!!! *Sigh! I'm like, WOW GOD, you really are looking out for me, YOU REALLY ARE!!!

Right before a diamond!!!

Whenever I see this picture below, it is inspiring to me in so many ways. I could for sure write more than one idea from this. However today I want to take it from a SINGLES aspect!!!

.

I was thinking about how often over the years I have seen my peers set out in life searching for their spouse, the one that they can fulfill the will of God with. However, along the way they begin to get frustrated. They've been waiting and waiting and waiting and all they can see is a continuous dirt wall in front of them. What they always wanted seems to be an impossibility, so they give up and settle in marriage when they could have had a diamond if they JUST would have WAITED!!!

.

I was thinking about one friend of mine. A beautiful, Godly, talented young lady. I remember us going to a conference together several years ago and at the conference this beautiful friend of mine began to get attention from a young man. The way I saw it, he was one of those guys that was just, "alright" if you know what I mean! At first I didn't think my friend would look twice at him, but as the conference went on, I could tell she was beginning to like him. This left me perturbed, I didn't think this guy was on the same level spiritually as my friend, it wasn't that he was a bad guy, he just wasn't where she was spiritually in her walk with God.

.

However, when my friend got back from the conference, she used her head, prayed about it and just let the friendship go. A little over a month later, an amazing, annointed man of God noticed her and her Godliness and walked into her life. He was everything she could have ever hoped for and more...He was her DIAMOND!!! It gives me chills to think how she ALMOST had fools gold, when she was SO CLOSE to a diamond.

I recently came across a saying that I absolutely LOVE!!!

"God has someone special for you, but if your not careful, you'll be married by the time you meet them!"

WOW!!! That speaks volumes to me!!! Wait FOR A DIAMOND!!! I'm not talking about pickiness in the sense of materialistic or a physical sense, of course any man has to have A JOB and we all want to be attracted to the person, but what i'm really emphasizing is spirituality. YOU KNOW where you are spiritually in your walk with God.

 

My single friends, you just never know what's right around the corner for you. It may seem like an endless plight, nothing but a dirt wall in front of you, trust me, I KNOW how you feel, but JUST KEEP GOING!!!It may seem discouraging when all you can see is a dirt wall, buuuuuuuuuut a dirt wall IS what's RIGHT BEFORE A DIAMOND!!!  You just never know who it is, it could be someone that you've never met, or someone sitting right under your nose and you never even saw it. Keep digging against that dirt wall, along the way your going to find some fools gold, don't even bother with it, don't give up, KEEP GOING FOR THAT DIAMOND!!!

When I get married...

You know the scripture in the Bible from 1 Samuel, when Hannah is thanking God for her child; "For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him:" (1 Samuel 1:27) Annnnnnnd A lot of times you will see signs that parent's will hang in their child's room with this scripture on it...

My sister has one hanging up in MJ's room! And it makes sense to have, to remind yourself of the face that you have recieved this gift from God. I mean, in desperation for the desire of her heart, Hannah had wept, pleaded and sought God for this child and he was the answer to her long awaited prayers.

Weeeeeeelllll...I decided that, WHEN I FINALLY GET MARRIED, I'm going to have a picture of my husband, my groom, on our wedding day, enlarged to like a poster size photo and I'm going to have enscribed on it,

FOR THIS HUSBAND I HAVE PRAYED!!!

.

Because, we each have our own "Hannah Request" to God and at the present moment, mine is NOT for a child...haha!!! Annnnnnnnd I'm going to look at that picture of my husband and remember that God heard my petition, my prayers, and gave to me what I asked for! Annnnnd when my husband is irritating me, or I don't feel like submitting or ANYTHING like that, I'm going to remind myself that I PRAYED FOR THIS and i'm going to tell myself to shut up and stop complaining and THANK GOD FOR MY BLESSING!!! Yup, thats what I'm going to do...

 WHEN I GET MARRIED!!!

My mom's dream!!!

Soooooo last week when we had that Ladies Tea at our church, after Elder Sis. Cleveland had Sis. Bishop Abbott teach on submission, she asked my mom to speak about her loving her children or something like that.

So my mom is you know just talking about her kids and HOW WONDERFUL we are or whatever she is saying and then she is like you know being a mom was just the best thing that EVER happened to me! (Awww) And she was like you know EACH TIME I would find out I was pregnant, it wasn't a drudgery....i always felt like it was SUCH A BLESSING!!! She said EVERY TIME,  I was just sooooo happy and excited about it!

.

Then she is just like, you know people thought I was having too many kids, buuuut I never felt that way, IN FACT, she says, my dream was to have TEN KIDS!!! She kinda sighed and was like, buuuut God only allowed for me to have five and thats ok! BUUUUUT my dream in life was to have ten kids!!!

.

Soooo as my mom was talking about her dream of ten kids a thought came to my mind and OF COURSE i had to speak it!!! ;) So I raised my hand and my mom called on me and I was like, WEEEEEEEELLLLLL MOM...I don't think its to late...

you can STILL have your TEN KIDS!!!

(Awkward silence by ALL! LOL!)

I just laughed as I explained myself! MOM...You always tell us that whenever one of your kids get married, that their spouse is now ONE OF YOUR KIDS....soooooooo just think...WHEN ALL FIVE of your kids get married, you will have YOUR TEN KIDS!!!!!!!

My mom like totally loved that!!! She like got this HUGE SMILE on her face and was like, OH THATS TRUE Mary! Good thought!!! (Occasionally they do come to me!;) She was like thats right, ONE DAY, I will have my ten children!!! :) Awwwwwwwwww!!!!

Soooo...SO far my mom has 7 out of her ten kids, AND as of September 22 she will have 8 out of her ten kids. 

That leaves me and Theresa...

(the boys think they're REALLLY SOMETHING cuz they all are gettin married before us girls...I'm just like WHATEVERRRRR...God's saving THE BEST FOR LAST!!!) ANNNND I just wanted to see HOW MANY OF YOU ALL OUT THERE...would like to start praying for my MOM'S DREAM TO COME TRUE!!!

My mom has been one of the most faithful, sacrificing woman of God EVERRRR and weeeeeelllll...heeeeey....I just want to make ONE LAST DREAM OF HERS COME TRUE!!!

Extra time...

I was telling my sister the other day...that, EVEN THOUGH...I really want to get married...and yeah, I have for a while... YET, when I look back on all the extra years I have had for singleness, I don't regret them at all. The truth is that I have truely had, AND still am having, and AWESOME time being single!!! I mean if I had gotten married all these years ago...it just seems like I would have missed out on SOOOOO much of life.

I told my sis, I'm just so thankful that I have had all this extra time to be a kid...er...I MEAN a young person!!! My sis was like UH I heard you say KID!!! I'm like okaaaaay weeeellll its TRUE!!!

Once your married, a certain amount of maturity is expected of you, that you just don't have to have while your single!!! :)))) I'm glad I still get to be a KID...

PLUS...if you think about it...this is the ONLY time in my life, that it will be totally OKAY for me to have a crush on like 25 guys at one time...and its TOTALLLLLY okaaaaay...cuz i'm single...and ya' know, THOSE are the kinds of things I just don't EVERRR want to take for granted!!! Happily Ever After...

When we think of Happily Ever After, we often think of  Magic, and rose petals covered in pixie dust. A stagecoach and being swept off our feet. The birds are always singing and prince charming is always rich and we're riding away into the night on his beautiful white horse. Then if any problems find us in life, they can always be fixed with the swoop of a magical wand. Of course, the in the background of it all, there is ALWAYS a castle awaiting us. I think that so often we have a total misconcieved notion of what love really is.
