Another great Harvest festival at our church...what we call THE HOLY GHOST PARTY!!!

My niecey Bethany came as a cupcake and wore a sign that said, "Oh Taste And See that the Lord is GOOD!"

Jahine, a new boy that has been coming and is absolutely ADORABLE!!!

Quite the character!!! Trust me, you'll be hearing MORE about him ASAP!!!

Surprise, surprise!!!

Imagine my UTTER AND COMPLETE SHOCK when I got a phone call before church with a very familiar voice, COMMANDING to if I was coming to get the kids for church tonight OR WHAT??? I'm like,

ESTHER????

She's like, yeah, I'm here and I want to come to church!!! Of course I SCREAMED!!! She's like, so are you guys coming or what??? I'm like, DUH!!! Of course i'm coming girrrrrrrl, its Wednesday night and this is what I do!!! Nothing like going home and checking my email and finding that i'm being cussed out cuz I didn't respond back soon enough about getting her for church that night! I'm like, Wow Esther, WOW!!!

 

It's been over three years since I've seen my chocolate daughter and grandson!!! Phletcher has gotten SOOOOOOOO BIG!!! And he's such a handsome little boy...Esther is still a LITTLE, LITTLE, TEENY TINY, LEEEEEETLE THING!!! Only weighing in at 80-something pounds...I'm like, WOW!!! I definitely plan to change that!!! Hee, hee!!! ;)

I'm NOT even gonna lie, it was pretty HILARIOUSLY AWESOME hearing her have to discipline her son for misbehaving during church!!! I'm like, HA...PAYBACK!!!

She said she's back in AZ for good annnnnnnnnd she's planning on coming to church...In Jesus name i'm believing!!!

God's Dream for WHO you marry!!! ;)

Have you ever thought about it:  What has God called ME too? And furthermore, as a woman of God, how does that affect WHO we choose to marry?  

.

I was then listening to some preaching one time and the preacher was talking about we are basically all born in love with ourselves and that ultimately that's who we care about the most...we are just by nature SELFISH!!! He was talking about how even when a girl falls 'IN LOVE' all she is thinking about is how that dream boat she is about to walk down the aisle to, IS going to make HER so happy!!! Its STILL about US!!!

.

That got me to thinking, how often, EVEN when striving to do things for God, how often are we still in SOME WAY thinking about OURSELVES?! Am I letting go completely or am I still holding onto my own will??? My own dreams? As a woman, your husband's call, becomes YOUR CALL. We're JUST the helper of the husband. This got me to thinking about how we need to change our perspective on how we are thinking about our future spouse. Its NOT about ME  and My dreams...MY CALL...it's all about GOD and, his goals, his desires, HIS DREAMS!!!

.

This causes me to rethink the way I pray about my future spouse. Instead of praying for WHO I want, I need to pray, "God, don't bring me to the one that is going to fulfill all MY DREAMS, but the one that I can help to fulfill all of YOUR DREAMS!!!

And if your a man, "God who is she that is willing to HELP ME fulfill your dreams?" Awwwwww soooo sweet!!! ;))))

I've been asked before if I feel called to a certain people or a certain type of ministry. I used to think yes, but over the years, God has allowed me to feel burdens and to reach out to people from just about every ethnicity, every age range and from all different back grounds. Rich, poor, black, white, Hispanic, Africans, Filipinos, single parents, ex-convicts, infants, teen mom's, Elderly, children, adults, foster kids, I've cried over them all. I've come to the conclusion, that ultimately, there is only ONE thing that God has specifically called me too and that one thing is SOULS!!!

 God you know my passions, my strengths and my weaknesses, who can I help the best to bring souls to you? I've started praying for God to help me NOT to hold on to MY OWN WILL and help me simply seek to fulfill HIS DREAMS.

I think God's dreams can simply be summed in this verse..."For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost"(Luke 19:10)

 

God has no specifics,

 just that IF IT'S LOST,

 it NEEDS to be FOUND!!!

That awkward moment WHEN...

When your at a big church conference and the preacher preaches against sequins annnnnnnnnnd your purse just HAPPENS to be blinding everyone that day!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You all know what I'm talking about???

You don't know IF you should clap or just stay seated???

Your just kind of like, UuuuuuuuuH...

Like, you wanna clap cuz you want to have a good spirit and back up the preacher, buuuuuuuut at the same time you don't want to be a hypocrite and clap for something that you don't even do...buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut at the same time you don't want seem carnal and rebellious by just sitting there, soooooo your just kinda like FROZEN HALFWAY IN BETWEEN A CLAP AND A NOT-CLAP!!! Bahahahahahaha!!!

Soooooooo it was SUPER HILARIOUS this year cuz I had shown one of my guy friends, even tho they really had NO DESIRE to see them, all my purses I had brought for conference. To my surprise, he actually said he liked ALL of them, UNTIL, I pulled out my new Vera Wang gold sequined wristlet I had just gotten at the consignment shop! He sees that one and says something along the lines of, I HATE THAT ONE! Its UGLY!!! I was like, WHAAAAAAAAAT???How can you say that, its like, SOOOOOO CUUUUUUTE!!! He's just like, I HATE GLITTER!!! I felt the complete need to CLARIFY him on this because it was NOT glitter...I LOVE GLITTER and happen to think its the best thing EVERRRR, buuuuut this was NOT glitter!!! Sooooooo I told him, its NOT GLITTER, its ACTUALLY SEQUINS! He's like, "Same thing! Sequins are just GROWN UP GLITTER!!!" Okaaaaaaaaaay that cracked me up! Best guy quote EVERRRRR!!!

Weeeeeeelllll fast forward to Friday during the day service and one of the preachers hit HARD CORE on SEQUINS...NOT GLITTER...SEQUINS!!! AHAHAHAHAHA!!! Needless to say, I looked across the way and saw him with THE SMUGGEST smile on his face...WOW...AHAHAHAHA...we looked at each other and died laughing!!!! I guess lost that one and it was QUITE HILARIOUS TOO!!! Oh well, I guess I have another Christmas present for MJ!!! BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Anywayz, I was asking ANOTHER guy friend what they thought about when your at a conference and a preacher preaches against something that you do...are you supposed to just line up every one of your standards to what is preached at that conference? And he had some really wise words that I wanted to share with you all. He said that you have to remember that the preacher at the conference is NOT your pastor and you need to remember that. So UNLESS God gives you a TRUE CONVICTION from that preaching, you just take THE SPIRIT OF THE MESSAGE and apply that to your life. At the same time don't have a bad attitude about it if they preach against something that you and your church do. There is NO NEED to be snarky, and all like, "Weeeeeeellll at my church we do...blah, blah, blah!" Be respectful and pray about the matter in case it is something that God wants you to CHANGE or at least be careful about!!!!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuut really, WHAT ARE YOU SUPPOSED TO DO??? Clap anyway? Stay seated? Or do the half clap, half NOT clap???? AHAHAHA!!!

Don't talk about my car!!!

I was walking into Walmart the other day annnnnnd was SHOCKED by what I saw...

A car that was MESSIER than mine!!!

A car that was literally so messy it made my car apear, IMMACULATE!!!

I don't know if you guys can quite see everything but it had stuff to the ceiling everywhere but the drivers seat!!!!

The Bible says, "God is light; in Him there is no darkness at all." 1 John 1:5 One of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Bible scriptures is Revelation 21:23 “And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.”  I mean JUST THINK ABOUT IT, in heaven, JESUS WILL BE THE LIGHT...I just LOVE thinking about that!!!

I was thinking about this the other day...

WHAT IF WALDO IS MY FUTURE HUSBAND???

Now before you all start thinking that I'm crazier than I already am, LET ME CLARIFY something with you all, HE REALLY COULD BE WALDO!!! Think about it!!!

1. Is Waldo Apostolic??? Idk...HE COULD BE!! Look at HOW modest he dresses!!! Pants and long sleeves...this BROTHA has holiness down...I LIKE THAT!!! Purrrrrr Waldo!!!

2. Is Waldo Chocolate??? NO, he's NOT!!! Buuuuuuut did you all know that I ACTUALLY DON'T CARE about a guys skin color at all??? My WHOLE point has ALWAYS been that it ACTUALLY DOESN'T MATTER!!! That's what my TRUE PASSION on the matter ACTUALLY IS!!! And my goal IS and WILL ALWAYS BE to educate and change the ignorant mindset of skin color and interracial marriage...EXCEPT, there is ACTUALLY NO SUCH THING AS INTERACIAL MARRIAGE, buuuuuuuut I'll save that for ANOTHER day!!! That being said, when it comes to my future husband and how I feel about his skin color, I will quote what a anonymous friend said to me today, "I don't care if they're WHITER THAN SNOW or if they're BLACKER THAN COAL!" I was like, Oh yeah, HEEEEEEEEYYYY!!! To me its more important that he has the attributes I want, on fire for God, burden for the lost, has a job, has a car, has good self-esteem, motivated, take charge, spiritual leader, good with finances, kind-hearted, patient with Mary Moments, organizes my Maryness, wants to have at least 7 kids, willing to adopt, tithe paying, pastor obeying, righteous, Apostolic Warrior,  man of prayer

.

3. Is Waldo anything like me??? NO!!! Obviously, Waldo IS NOT like ME!!! There is NO WAY he could hide that well if he was!!! This is GOOD!!! Cuz I think that a guy LIKE ME, WITH ME...would NOT BE GOOD!!! LOLOLOLOL!!!

Aunt Mary IS...

This blog post is by special request of my nephew Joseph!!! I was laughing so hard after this incident happened he said, your going to post about this on your blog, AREN'T YOU AUNT MARY??? I was like, do you want me too???? He said YES!!! Pretty, pretty please Aunt Mary, WITH A CHERRY ON TOP!!! Who can resist a plea like that??? I'm telling you all, THE CHERRY gets me EVERY TIME!!! AHAHAHA!!! This is how the story goes...

So the other day, Saturday, when I was treating the kids to free samples at Costco, Mary Jo had said she would get the younger kids buckled in while I was getting my purse from my room. So a few minutes later, when I walked out to the car, the kids were all buckled in and waiting for me. While they were waiting, my nephew Joseph was singing a little song he had written about his Aunt Mary while he was waiting for her to come out to the car. It went like this...

BUUUUUUT...It had a second part...

WHAAAAAAAAAAAAT????

AHAHAHAHA!!! Okaaaaaaaay before anyone wants to start judging and reprimanding me for my car being a mess, I want to say TWO THINGS!!!

#1. Everything in the back of my car are from CHILDREN THAT ARE NOT MY OWN!!! Nieces, Nephews, Children I babysit, Sunday School kids, etc, etc...Sooooooooo obviously, their parents haven't been teaching them to pick up after themselves... (jk! Jk parents! ;)

.

#2. It was part of my New Years Resolution this year to get my car cleaned and organized AND to keep it that way...I would like to emphasize on the that says, BY THE END OF THE YEAR...I still have two whole months after this month to accomplish this goal...AND I WILL DO IT!!! I have completed just about ALL of my other New Years Resolutions!!!

 SOOOOOO...by the end of the year my nephew will be singing, ♪Aunt Mary is the beautiful-ist AND her car is NOT the most disgusting-ist, its NOT the handsome-ist buuuuuut it IS the awesome-ist...

Guidelines for engagement...

This past Sunday morning Pastor Abbott said he was going to teach a lesson "Guidelines for engagement" of course my ears perked up ANNNNNNNND since I was still sitting on the platform from praise singing, EVERYONE felt the need to look at me...not to sure WHY...buuuuut hey, if they're all believing in faith for me, I'LL TAKE IT!!! AHAHAHA!!! Even Pastor Abbott was like, Mary are you ready?! I'm like, YEAH... liiiiiiiiike, ten-years-ago-ready!!! BAHAHAHA!!

.

Soooo I figured the lesson was going to go something like this...

TURNS OUT THAT...

Pastor's message was completely SPIRITUAL!!! "Guidelines for engagement", IN SPIRITUAL WARFARE!!! LOL (Okay I know spiritual warfare isn't funny, it just was in this context! LOL) Sooooooo at the end of his message, Pastor was talking about how there are things that we will have to cut out of our lives at times, but then he read this scripture...

.

"When thou shalt besiege a city a long time, in making war against it to take it, thou shalt not destroy the trees thereof by forcing an axe against them: for thou mayest eat of them, and thou shalt not cut them down (for the tree of the field is man's life) to employ them in the siege:" (Deuteronomy 20:19)

.

He was talking about how we need to cut out the things in our lives that GO AGAINST THE THINGS OF GOD! The people that want to fight against God and don't want peace with God and His people. BUUUUUT we need to be careful that we're not cutting out EVERYTHING in our lives that see things a little different from us. We need to have good friends, good fellowship, family to spend time with...He was just saying, if you were to cut out EVERYTHING that isn't JUST LIKE YOU, your not even going to have somewhere to spend Thanksgiving this year.

.

And that's what Deut. 20:19 is talking about, if they destroyed the trees, they would be destroying their own shelter and food, their own life source. Annnnnnnnnnnd from that aspect, I GOT MY OWN, MARY-VERSION GUIDELINES CONCERNING ENGAGEMENT!!! Wait let me clarify that I didn't think this all up on my own, as I was struggling to make spiritual clarity between pastor's analogy and my own, THE COMPLETED word came through Stultz...Such an anointed brotha...AHAHAHAHA!!! Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay...Are you all ready for this???

.

So after church as Pastor was walking by, someone was like thanking pastor that message and I was like, YEAH, I'm sooooooo ready for marriage now!!! AHAHA!!! Then I was like, soooooo basically what I got from the end of that message was this, If I want to get married, the answer is NOT to destroy all my fellow single sistas standing in my path, BECAUSE IF I DO...then I was like, stumbling for WHY this wasn't a good idea, I'm like ummmm...The answer is NOT to destroy all the singles girls... BECAUSE...uh...And Stultz says, BECAUSE IF YOU DO...

 YOU WON'T HAVE ANY  BRIDESMAIDS TO STAND WITH YOU WHEN YOU GET MARRIED!!!!

Ok that was GOOD!!! ahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!! YES, that is WHY I must NOT destroy them... They are NOT my enemies...I NEED BRIDESMAIDS!!!

Last days in the bay!

One of the cool things about Joe and Anali's wedding was that it started so early, 10 am, that by the time the reception was over, the bride and groom left and the bridal part went back to the church to clean up the wedding, but by the time we were done it was still early evening and so we had the whole rest of the evening to hang out with out of town friends...Well, I'm technically out of town buuuuuut I don't think anyone in the bay area technically considers me a guest anymore!!! HAHA!!!

After the wedding we were all hanging around, just goofing off, talking about the wedding and me telling stories, "hey Remember WHEN..." Anywayz, we decided to go eat at Famous Daves BBQ!!! I got the burnt beef tip sandwhich...MMMMM...that was BOMB!!! Anyways, Me, Jen and Hanna decided to pick out the BBQ sauce that best represented us!!!

I picked SWEET AND ZESTY, Jen picked, RICH AND SASSY, HANNA PICKED DEVILS SPIT!!!! AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love that girl!!!

Then Jen tried to trick me with a PAPER ROACH that was laid on the table!!! I've seen TOO MANY real ones to be fooled by a PAPER ONE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Soooooooo I decided to joke around with our waiter on the matter!!! When he brought my bill over and asked if everything had gone well, I was like, Ummmmm...ACTUALLY sir, I don't want to be that annoying customer that complains but I found this BUG IN MY FOOD!!! His eyes got wide as I opened my hand to show in the PAPER ROACH and then he just busted up laughing...He had this really weird nervous laugh!!!

 He's like, I would show that to my boss and say customer found this in their food...buuuuuut I don't want to lose my job!!! (Nervous laugh!!! LOL) AHAHAHA!!!

Joseph told me the other day that i'm  THE CRAZY AUNT!!!! He said because I just keep kissing and kissing and kissing and kissing and kissing...YOUR CRAZY AUNT MARY!!!

Shoe blessings!!!

Sooooooo this week God blessed me with THREE GOOD PAIRS OF SHOES!!!

Shoes are THE ONE accessory that you may notice I don't do to much with...I'll tell you WHY!!! I'm flat-footed!!! Very, very, very, VERY FLAT-FOOTED!!! I have absolutely no arch at all whatsoever on my foot!!! I didn't find this out till my 20's and I found myself gimping around...so much so that I found myself in the pediatrist office!!! I thought I had bone spurs in my feet!!! He was like, NO, your flat-footed...ANNNNNNNND those shoes your wearing are absolutely the WRONG kind of shoes to wear!!! Flip-flops!!! That's what I always used to wear!!! I even said I was going to wear flip-flops on my wedding day!!! (Reason #5956867 why I thank God I didn't get married young!!! AHAHAHAHA!!!) Anyways, I didn't believe the doctor and continued to wear flip flops!!! Then one day it clicked and I went to the shoe store and bought a really good pair of sneakers and lo and behold the doc was right!!! All the pain went away and I could walk normal again!!! Woooooohoooo!!!

Soooooo I said all that to say that I have a FRIEND that finds it her PERSONAL DUTY in life to criticize the fact that I wear sneakers ALL THE TIME except to church!!! Her exact words are, "How are you gonna be a preacher's wife IF you wear sneakers???" I'm like, REALLY??? First of all, WHO SAYS I'm gonna be a preacher's wife??? (Hey that's NOT on my list of criteria... on fire for God, burden for the lost, has a job, has a car, has good self-esteem, kind-hearted, patient with Mary Moments, wants to have at least 7 kids, willing to adopt, tithe paying, pastor obeying, righteous, Apostolic Warrior,  man of prayer ,LOL) Annnnnnnnnnnnd second of all, WHY CAN'T PREACHER'S WIVES WEAR SNEAKERS???? Any preacher's wives out there that wear sneakers??? I mean, I'm jus sayin!!! You can knock doors longer if your wearing sneakers instead of heels!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

Anyways, THE POINT IS, God blessed me with some shoes that are good for flat-footed people!!! I got a pair of Softspots for $11 and two pairs of crocs for $12!!! Those Softspots are QUITE EXPENSIVE!!! Annnnnnnnnnd YES people, they ACTUALLY SELL CUTE CROCS!!! I never knew this before and they feel AMAZING on my feet!!! Im sooooooo THRILLED!!! Sooooooo now I can trade it up sometimes for these shoes on a daily basis!!! Altho, I have to say if it involves a lot of walking, my sneakers are STILL THE BEST FOR MY FEET!!! Anywayz, FRIEND, I hope your HAPPY NOW!!!

Anywayz, I just wanted to publicly say, THANK YOU GOD FOR BLESSING ME WITH GOOD, CUUUUUUUTE SHOES!!! Thank you Jesus!!! Purrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!

Here I am getting my hair done by the wonderful Malu!!! Thank God for her!!! She was a REAL LIFE SAVER!!! I was seriously freaking out over HOW to do my hair without curls or a hair accessory and in a short amount of time!!!

Please talk not at how my hair almost looks reddish in this picture...like strands of shiney-golden-cinnamon...that's how I SEE IT!!! Hee, hee!!!
