A NOT soooooooo quarantined summer!!!

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellll if I discovered anything about myself in 2020, it's that I am NOT GOOD at quarantining!!!! We went ALL OVER AZ this summer!!!! I'm pretty sure at some point in these pics I may have had COVID buuuuuuut got a false negative!!!! Anywayz, I have to be EXTREMELY SICK to not do anything...I just can't...I GO CRAZY!!!!

Anywayz, I can tell you everywhere to eat and see in Prescott, Prescott Valley, Flagstaff, Payson, Tuscon, Sedona, Williams, Wickenburg, Mesa, Tempe, Glendale, Gilbert, Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, Jerome, Cottonwood, Grand Canyon, Anthem, Fountain Hills, Black Canyon,  PLUS Ruidoso, ABQ and Roswell(Nowhere! EVERYTHING was in lockdown) Annnnnnnnnnnd i'm still working off the weight from it all too-12 down!!!! 

Diet confession!!!!

Confession: I don't like salad!!! UNLESS its completely UNHEALTHY!!! Like a salad from Texas Roadhouse that is drenched in their homemade ranch, cheddar cheese and egg...annnnnnd like a million calories!!! I've found that eating salad is just a waste of calories trying to make it taste good!!!

If you were Amish...

 What would be the hardest thing for you to NOT HAVE???

I like to randomly come up with thought provoking question and send them to my closest friends, just to hear their responses and how different or alike we are from each other!!! I don't always share them cuz well, sometimes their personal. Buuuuuuuut this one is interesting but I don't believe indulging anthing to personal!!! 

.

If your not familiar with the Amish religion, they are a form of Baptist that have clung to not changing with modern change. While some of this is good, like modesty and virtue and hard-working values, some of it is pointless in living a holy life to God, like no electricity and using a horse and buggy instead of a car. 

.

Obviously I full agree with living a Holy life unto God! I believe in separation from the world. Limiting our internet usage, guarding our eyes, our ears and our mouths. While I've live most of my life without a television in my home, I think most people, even people that have one, can understand that it is because there is so much trash on it and it can hinder and distract your walk with God, YET, turning on the lights has never distracted me from my walk with God, so it doesn't make sense to go with out! Technology, used PROPERLY can be a good thing!

Soooooooo in a list of things they don't have what would be the hardest???

No Car?

No Cell Phone?

Actually no house phone either?

No camera?

No Electricity?

No AC? (I havn't met any Amish that actually LIVE in AZ;)

No Mirrors?

No electronics?

No Wash Machine?

No store bought clothes? (Handmade and VERY homely clothing!)

As I was thinking about it, I thought it would be a toss up between a camera and mirror that would be hardest for me to give up. I take A LOT OF PICTURES annnnnnnnd weeeeeelllll...a mirror is WEEEEEEELLLL A MIRROR!!!! Jus sayin!!! LOL 

.

BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUT then I remembered another thing that they very often have to give up, TALENTS!!!! Talents like writing and art and music!!! Those talents are considered vain or whateverrrr and I can't imagine NOT being able to write!!!! To have to supress a God-given talent that when used correctly, glorifies God!!!! That would INDEED be the hardest to give up!!!!

BUUUUUUUUUUUUT THEN I remembered one thing that I absolutely COULD NOT tolerate, NO EVANGELISM!!! As a Christian, that is THE ONE thing that literally makes NO SENSE to me!!! After salvation, and a walk with God, HOW CAN WE NOT HAVE A DESIRE TO REACH LOST SOULS!!! That is our calling!!! That is our goal!!! Souls, souls, souls!!! Pointing souls to Jesus!!!! 

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." (Mark 16:15-16)

Soooooo yeah, spiritually speaking, salvation and evangelism is the one thing I could not give up!!! Morally, I could NOT give up my God-given talent to write!!! And in monetary matters, Its a toss up between the camera and a mirror...BUUUUUUUUUUUUT THEN...cuuuuuuuuute clothes is right there too!!! After all, GOD CALLS US TO BE HOLY, NOT HOMELY!!! Hee, hee!!! I mean, imagine me NOT wear bright, vibrant colors! Imagine me without flowers and lace!!! Imagine me without hoodies and UGGS and fluff and fur and satin...Imagine me NOT SHOPPING!!!!

Need a friend???

My mom testified at church one time, and she shared something that I had NEVER heard before!!! It was soooo neat I just have to share it with you all!!!

She said that when we lived in New York, before we got in church, one of the things that prompted her to EVEN go to church at all, was that she was looking for a friend. She said that although there were people our family associated with, she didn't feel like she really had her own friend.

.

She was hoping for someone that she could do stuff with or just talk with on the phone! So when the Kathy, the lady across the street from us, invited my mom to church, one of the things that prompted her to go was she thought..."Maybe if I go, I'll find a FRIEND!!!"

.

She said that there were a lot of people that she met at church that she enjoyed fellowship with, BUT she said the friend she got, wasn't THE FRIEND she had been looking for. She said that when she got the Holy Ghost, she got a friend that has NEVER left her side. We were only at that church for nine months before we moved to AZ, she left behind her friends at that church, BUT Jesus, came right along with her!!! All her life long till she died she had Jesus, and she said that Jesus is STILL the best friend she has ever had!!!

As i've told you all before, I'm not really a museum person-it's just not my thang! I mean, there's a few occasions i've been impressed and I still really want to see the Seattle glass museum, buuuuuuuuut other than that, my favorite part of a museum is usually THE GIFT SHOP!!! Hee, hee!;)

THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING YOU CAN THINK OF!!!

A month or so ago, I was teaching my Sunday School class about heaven and I was telling them that the beauty of heaven is unfathomable for us to truly even be able to comprehend in our minds. I was like, I want you all right now to close your eyes and think about THE ABSOLUTE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING you have everrrrrr seen in your life!!!

Sooooooooo all my kids closed they're eyes thinking and thinking...AND THEN...they're teacher, Sister Mary, had a very MARYISH MOMENT while they were thinking about the most beautiful thing they had everrrrr seen...

I was like, okay, okay, okaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy now, don't ALL OF YOU ALL at once be thinking about...

ME!!!

Then I patted myself on the back!!!

I'm alway either on a diet, taking a day off (Or a day that turns to a week;) Or going back on a diet...ALWAYS....it's just LIFE...I've excepted that this just the make up of me!!! There are some thing that are just ALWAYS a struggle ...buuuuuuuut Heeeeeeeeyyyy a struggle is okaaaaaaaaaay, because as long as there is a struggle, you are STILL FIGHTING!!!  There is NO STRUGGLE when you give up!!! Between genetics, cooking skills, and the life of an avid foodie-THE STRUGGLE IS REAL FOLKS!!!

Foodie Friday! (Macy's Coffee House Review!)

Do you like animals Mary??? Ummmmm...well i'm NOT really a pet person, buuuuuuuut...I love stuffed animals and juicy burgers!!! (Okay, ok, nobody throw anything at me...I would NEVER hurt a dog or cat...I'm just NOT a pet person! The hair, the drool, the smell, THE POOP...it's just NOT my thing! I'm a people person! A baby person! I value humanity so don't judge me until you have changed as many diapers,-old and young...as ME! Jus sayin;)

Sooooooooo what's a meat-lovin-girl like me doing 5-staring a vegetarian coffee shop???? Weeeeeeeelllll, that alone, the fact that a meat-loverrrr is floored by the taste and quality of the food at this shop, speaks for itself!!!

.

When i realized that this was a vegetarian coffee shop, despite the high ratings, i really hesitated to try it!!! However, the to-go line going all the way down the street lured me in!!!

.

The good news is that although they are vegetarian and vegan friendly, they do not competely disregard all dairy! It seems that they do use products that animals produce, they just don't use anything that kills a animal! Soooooooo REAL Cheese and REAL eggs !!!

.

All the baked products here were amazing!!! You have to get the biscuit with their homemade jam and butter!!! You have to get the grilled

 cheese with pepper jack, cheddar, provolone, spinach, and onions!!! 

.

Don't even get me started on all their epic desserts!!! WOW!!!

You must and i do absolutely mean, MUST,  get the Macy's Special house signature coffee drink!!! Omw it is soooooooo astoundingly, amazingly, deliciously good!!! It's like a Espresso, steamed hot chocolate- topped with a marshmalllowy-whipped-cream!!! and they have all homemade sauces and flavors!!! Annnnnnnd personally, I think it's one of those drinks thats just better hot!!!

.

The main downside to this place is that I've neverrrrr been in line for less than 45 minutes!!! Also, I would recommend that WHEN they use a meat substitute, that they say on the menu that it is a meat substitution. I read a lot of complaints about that in reviews. Not everyone realizes that it is a vegetarian coffee shop! If you say bacon, bacon lovers are expecting REAL BACON! For people like me that are willing to try something new, buuuuuut still wanna know what I'm putting inside of me! When you say, "Vegan" biscuits and gravy, I wanna know what is used in it instead of sausage!!! Jus sayin!!!

Can't wait for another break to head up to flagstaff!!! I hear a Macy's Special calling me for a sip of deliciousness!!! The 2.5 hour drive is worth every sip and every calorie!!!!! How amaaaaaazing will this drink be in COLD COOLER weather!?!?!?!

Too much chocolate???

 Sooooooooooooo recently, I've endeavored to learn how to make a Boston Creme pie-which is really a cake!!! Two layers with a heavy vanilla custard in between!!!! The first time I made it I thought it was PERFECT!!!! However, the cake turned out REALLY dry!!!! i WAS SOOOOO SAD!!!

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut of course I did NOT give up, I just said, okaaaaaaaay Boston Creme Pie, CHALLENGE EXCEPTED!!! Annnnnnnnnd let me tell you all something, this time it came out

Tasty Tuesday- Resturaunt Review!

 

 Soooooo we've been going on food adventures and the horseshoe cafe has by far been THE MOST ADVENTUROUS adventure we have been on thus far!!! Duuuuuuude!!! My sister and i have been laughing about this place for a day straight, great entertainment buuuuuuut i had difficulty actually eating here!!!

I have to admit that some of my close friends live in the small, remote, uh slightly odd town of Roswell, NM annnnnnd i admit to having made some snarky comments about the city before, (SORRY!;)  buuuuuut after experiencing Wickenburg AZ,  Roswell seems VERY GLAMOROUS!!!! (:

I would like to explain WHY i gave Horseshoe cafe four stars because the food was good, the staff was very friendly and the prices were FILTHY CHEAP...along with the rest of the restaurant!!!! AHAHAHAAA!!!

As soon as we walked in, which was around 8 am, my shoes started squeaking from the sticky floor, flies everywhere, just old stains on the walls, hair stuck in wall decor, tables and chairs seemed ancient, smell of cigarettes in the air due to the door being open and everyone on smoke breaks and although funny sayings and quaint decor, there was a very cluttered feel to it, im definitely not minimalist but it was too much for even me!!! Lol

Generally speaking, i consider myself to be on more the ghetto side of things, but inside there, I felt like the queen of England!!! The other customers, whom im assuming were locals of the small town could not stop staring at us, like we were from another planet...it was very awkward feeling, LIIIIIIIKE, is it weird that i actually brushed my hair,  fully dressed, annnnnnd have fake teeth instead of empty front gaps?! Bahahaaaa

To eat we got pancakes and french toast because it felt the safest, no dairy, no meat! Both were very good and the pancakes were just the way i like them with that crispy, buttery edge!

I had really wanted to try their chicken fried steak and biscuits and gravy, buuuuuuut i just couldn't do it, the atmosphere made me overly cautious, I'm adventurous, buuuuuuut perhaps one of you all could find out for me!!! ;)

The reason why i don't rate them less is because they are what they are and that's who and what they want to be! They ain't trying to be uppity or something that they're not! They don't care what you or anyone besides Trump thinks!!! They don't care if they are five stars or negative 5 stars! They're are signs everywhere that they don't care about your complaints! I take it that they are for the locals of that city and that city loves them! They are for their people, outsiders can come but that's not their target audience!!! If you don't like them don't come back, ANNNNNND guess what?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I WON'T BE!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Mary Reccomends!!!

You guys have GOT to try this Pink Grapefruit popcorn put out by Lesser Evil snacks I discovered at WHOLE FOODS!!!!! It's soooooooooooo gooooooood!!!! LIIIIIIIIIIIIKE, really!!!!

 

This popcorn is slightly sweet, kinda tangy and a tad bit salty 

and 100000000 percent DELICIOUS!!!

Did I mention beautiful too??? Look at those pink flecks on it!!!!

The good news is that this popcorn is also low in calories, about 110 calories a serving!!!! And three cups in ONE SERVING!!! Annnnnnnnd five servings in one bag-That's AWESOME!!!

That's worth kissing over-yes, I kiss food!!!

 Sooooooooo should you "ACCIDENTALLY" eat the whole bag, it's ONLY 550 calories!!! I mean, I know NONE of us would actually eat the whole bag, buuuuuuuut, you jus sayin-IN CASE, cuz ya know, accidents happen!!!! BAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!

Just stupid, NOT Stupid-stupid!!!

Soooooooo miraculously, we ACTUALLY had some really nice weather this past weekend. Of course you all know what that means for me, I'm hitting the mountains!!!

Weeeeelllll I had been putting off buying new hiking shoes, cuz weeeeellll let's be real, hiking shoes are UGLY and although needed, they're kinda like buying new tires for your car-BORING!!!!On the way up the mountain, everything was JUST FINE!!!
 .

HOWEVERRRR, on the way down was a completely different story!!! First of all, a bee decided to chase me AGAIN!!! (Remember last year HERE!!!) I don't know WHY buuuuut they always want to just nestle in my hair and I'm like NOT cool with that!!!  

.

Soooooooo I just take off running down the mountain and the bee starts chasing me. WEEEEELLLL all of the sudden my shoes lose traction and I slip and fall like I never have before. I slide down and fall on my back. One leg is pulled completely straight back behind me. Thankfully, i'm a very STRETCHY person and nothing was broken. Just a big cut on my elbow. (can you imagine the ambulance coming up the moutain-although it might be kinda fun being carried on stretcher down the mountain! LOL) 

.

Buuuuuuuuuut the fall REALLLLLLY scared me. The whole time, the rest of the way down I kept praying and asking God not to let me fall again. Buuuuuuut then as an after thought, I said, AND GOD, I also PROMISE TO THROW THESE OLD, WORN OUT, HIKING SHOES annnnnnd will NOT go hiking again til I have bought new ones. And when I got home, I took those old shoes and threw them in the trash!!!

.

You know why??? Because I can't expect to stay safe and then go directly putting myself back in danger!!! I may have been stupid to hike in them once, BUUUUUUUT I wasn't going to be STUPID-stupid!!!! 

.

Often in life, we get ourselves into stupid spiritual situations. AND even though its all our own fault, God is merciful on us and brings us out of our own mess up. BUT we can't just keep the same old shoes and expect not to slip up again. We've got throw those old messed up shoes away, pay the spiritual price and invest in something new!!! 

.

At one time or another, we can all be STUPID...

BUUUUUUUUUT...

We don't have to be STUPID-stupid!!!

 True story folks!!! So the kids at LCA, our church school, are memorizing Acts 2 and O started saying COVID tongues...I waited for the school to correct it just cuz it made me laugh so hard and I wanted everyone else to laugh too!!! (I BELIEVE Pastor has corrected him though! HAHA!!!) 

Thankfully, COVID tongues are NOT

 the evidence of the Holy Ghost!!!

Just Flirting ( Devotional Repost-2015)

Flirting!!! I was thinking about that...as a SINGLE person, there is JUST SOMETHING about FLIRTING!!! LOL!!! I mean lets all be honest...its FUN in the right context of course! Ya know what I mean, that harmless, fun teasing between a guy and girl...ahhhh...FUN TIMES!!! HAHA!!! I mean think about it you know when you just feel that SPARK...that chemistry??? Your just like OH WOW!!!

This one time, i had this HUGE crush on like a very, very, VERY HANDSOME Apostolic young man buuuuuuut as we became friends, thats ALL it was...good conversation buuuuuut I NEVER felt sparks...its like no matter how attractive of a person that he was, there was just NO CHEMISTRY!!! sooooo i just kind of lost interest in him and the next thing I knew I fell for this OTHER guy and honestly, he really wasn't as good looking as the other guy, buuuuut there was something about our personalities together annnnnd man there were sparks!!! I'm like I know buuuuuuuuut SPARKS girls...SPARKS!!! I mean really, MY NAME IS MARY GINTY and i'm the daughter of Frances Ginty, talking comes NATURALLY for me!!! I could talk to pretty much ANYONE, I could probabley even get a mute person to talk to me...BAHAHAHA!!! So i'm mean...just BEING able to talk to someone...is NOT a big deal for me...like HELLO...BORING!!! HOWEVER, not every person that I talk to, do I feel sparks...ANNNND I LIKE SPARKS!!! Yup! Yup! Buuuuuuut at the same time, none of us want to be KNOWN as a FLIRT!!! None of us want to be known as the kind of person that flirts with everyone, without really having ANY sort of a true interest in them...being that way...it just gives you a BAD REPUTATION!!!

I remember seeing a friend, a really good, Godly young lady, one time talking to a guy and after a few weeks I asked her, SOOOOO are you INTERESTED??? And she was like, actually, NO, I don't think I am! And I was like, REALLY, WHY NOT??? I mean, i was really curious, because although I didn't know the guy all that well, he was definatley on the very handsome, attractive side and I knew quite a few girls that would just LOVE to have this guys attention. So my friend, just looked at me and was like, well I don't mean to talk bad about him, buuuuuut to be perfectly honest, he is just TO MUCH OF A FLIRT!!! (Aka: A PLAYER!!!)

Nobody wants a FLIRT!!! And while flirting outside of marriage is okay, WHILE YOUR SINGLE, within marriage, aside from flirting with each other, FLIRTING with other people is NOT ok! I mean, being VERY SINGLE and all myself, I do NOT know all that much about marriage, buuuuuut I do know, that I would NOT be okay with my husband flirting with other woman! How would you feel if you were married and your spouse was flirting with other people, and when you brought it up, WHAT IF they didn't think it was a big deal??? WHAT IF their response was...I'm NOT CHEATING on you...

Another Superpower!!!

Some time ago, at a family get together, one of my nephews thought he could freak me out while trying to escape from his beloved Aunt Mary's hugs on the couch! As a final resort of torture to get me away, he stuck his feet in my face and said I'd have to smell his smelly feet if I tried to hug him!!! I just shrugged and said, I don't care!!! I'm NOT scared of smelly feet threats, i said, I'm NOT scared because of my superpower!!! You wanna know what my superpower is???
