A Mountain Apart Youth Camp Part 1

Okaaaaaaaaaaay soooooo the whole entire trip STARTED OUT with someone having a magor blond moment, buuuuuut that alone in itself is soooooooo FUNNNNY i'm gonna save it for its OWN POST!!! AHAHAHA!!! SOoooooo Sunday night Bro. Sam called us all in for a meeting and it was sooooo funny cuz it took like 15 minutes to get everone gathered in for the meeting and FINALLLLY when everyone gets in there Bro. Sam is like, okaaaaaaaay well, everyone get to the church at 4 am Tuesday morning and I think thats it!!! HAHAHA!!

 So then we're all asking how long of a ride it is and he says he thinks its about 8 hours and I was like, YEAH, 8 hours for NORMAL PEOPLE...I can tell you right now that that does NOT apply for LPC!!!!!!!!

 Sooooooo yeah we're all just driving along for a few hours and I was like outta it SLEEPIN and THEN all of the sudden like OMW in my sleep I could feel the van just going DOWN and my heart like dropped and flipped and I was still soooooo out of it and then my head went shooting up and I hear people sayin, the tire, the TIRE and in my half a sleep mind I just thought, OMW I JUST BROKE THE TIRE!!!!! And everyone was like MARY, why would you think that YOU broke the tire??? I'm like you all do NOT know HOW MANY THINGS I HAVE BROKEN IN MY LIFETIME!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

 Soooooooo the guys were all soooo many and buff and changed the tire for us while the girls stood around and took pictures!!! Awwww thanks LPC men for being soooo manly!!! :]

 Me and MacKenzie, I sat with her the whole trip both ways and by the end me and her are TOTAL BUDS!!! Awwwwwwww she is soooo sweeeeet!!! I LOOOOOOOOVVVVVE HER!!!

 My COFFEE at Breakfast kinda making a mess buuuuuut...oh coffee, coffee, OH how Mar Bear does LOOOOOVE THEE!!! LOL Then I discovered putting my coffee with some HOT CHOCOLATE...to make a JaMocha...annnnnnnnd OH MAN God is GOOOOOOD!!!

The campgrouds was sooooooooooooooooooo pretty for pictures...of course I kinda sorta got some...;) and TRUST me soooooo many more to come

At the shooting range...Joe is ummmm...in my personal oppinion...just a littttttle TO EXCITED about shooting a GUN!!!!!!! LOLOLOL Weeeeelll aparently he goes shooting all the time and was really happy about the free bullets!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!

 Okaaaaay soooo this is Vanessa Sheldon ANNNND she is sooooo awesome BECAUSE she thought that i was 15-YEARS OLD!!! I was like OMW I looooooooooooooovvvvve you!!!! We are soooooo getting a picture together and I'm BLOGGING about this!!!

And then it was funny cuz her sister was like NOOOO she has to be older than 15 cuz Selena just said that she was the best Sunday School teacher ever and if she was her teacher she has to be older like........18!!!!!!!!!!!! I was like OMW!!! I'll take 18 too!!! LOLOLOL

OMW VOLLEY BALL was such a blast...I was an AMAZIN player...bahahahaha!!! Okaaaaaaaay soooo everytime I would serve the ball and make points for our team I would like get sooooo excited I would like scream and to a happy dance...soooo I was told that I shouldn't like get sooooooo excited and JUST serve the ball cuz if I bragged I was gonna MISS it the next time and YEAH SURE ENOUGH....

 Soooo HERE I AM...Serving the ball in a SPIRIT OF HUMILITY!!! It was really funnnny...I was like, I SERVE THIS BALL IN TOTAL HUMILITY and then I hit and the ball did this like messed up, totally crooked and in the opposite direction fly...I was like, SEE WHAT HAPPENS WHEN I'm HUMBLE!!!!! HAHAHA!!!!

Buuuuuut...yeah...I got taught some volley ball moves and I think MAYBE...i've improved a little bit...we'll see this next week...if I haven't already forgotten everything! I know we STILL gotta work on my DIRECTION!!! HAHA!!!

Weeeeeeelllll....I will for sure have some more posts about A Mountain Apart Youth Camp...this post doesn't even begin to cover it....buuuuuuuuuuuut I just wanted to get a little something up for everyone that has been askin to see pics...Last night when testified about it at church I couldn't even SHUT UP talkin about the services!!! Oh TWO QUESTIONS!!! Does anyone know about the parking? Do we have to pay or is there assigned parking or WHAAAAAAAT???? I remember last time OTC was at ASU WEST there was this HUGE ORDEAL with the parkin and everyone was getting tickets and I sooooooooo do NOT want a ticket...Ugh...I don't want to taint my PERFECT driving record!!! ;)

Second question: Does anyone know which night is the youth thingy? One year I remember it was EVERY NIGHT...that was AWESOME!!!

When we were at camp this past week, Alahondra had THE BEST comment everrrr. (Yes I know thats NOT the way you spell Alahondra, buuuut I told her thats the way I SPELL it and to just deal with it! LOL!)  We were sitting there one morning eating breakfast and someone was jokin around with her saying that she wasn't cool. Alahondra was TOTALLY unfazed by this comment and immediatley responds back.

She is like OH YEAH, weeeeeellll I don't really care if I'm NOT COOL ... Cuz IF i'm NOT cool that can only mean ONE THING...

Back from CAMP!!!

Heeeeeeeeey everyone!!! I am home from camp!!!  After a VERRRRRRY looooong drive home yesturday... a three hour stop at Sam's Club AGAIN and two people threw up...LOL...Poor Trav...both people were by him!!! Someone was recently informing me of something that was going on and I said yeah I KNOW, i've known for a LOOOOONG time I just didn't say anything! So they were like WHAT? Prayer!!!

My friend Jen and my friend Hanna had told me a little while back that they were going to be having a prayer seminar or something coming up in May and they were going to be taught by Bro. Garrett! I was like OH AWESOME!!! I know your gonna LOVE it cuz i've taken his prayer classes at the Bible college and they are absolutley fantastic!!! Today I listened to  the prayer seminar HERE!!! AND they were sooooo GOOOOOOOOOD!!! God TOUCHED me today while listening to those. If any of you all out there have a chance you should really, really, REALLY take the time to listen to them!!! They are truley life changing!!! I quote Hanna Kifle, "Mary, my life is FOREVER changed!!!" (Or something like that! I didn't actually record our phone convo! LOL!)

I was telling the girls, I just feel soooo blessed that I have had the opportunity to learn about these important subjects for years at the Bible College!!! Bro. Kelley, Bro. Fair THESE MEN ARE ELDERS with soooo much wisdom, and annointing from GOD!!! THEY will NOT be here with us for much LONGER!!! It is SUCH an HONOR AND A PRIVILEGE for us to be able to glean from them!!! AZ young people, WE ARE BLESSED to have the opportunity to learn from these men of God!!! Everyone should be taking advantage of this!!! The class rooms should be PACKED OUT every semester!!! BUUUUUUUUT they aren't!!!! There are young people in other states that tell me all the time that they would LOOOOOOOOVE to go to our Bible college! I think that a lot of people are busy or they think, whats the point? If you graduate, the certificate doesn't even count for anything!!! WHO CARES its NOT about a piece of paper!!! ITS about learning and being taught about God!!! Its about Gaining knowlede from the Bible!!! It is such a BLESSING!!!

I learned LATE in life, for an Apostolic girl that grew up in church since she was two, about prayer. I'll never forget, when I was around 18-years-old, yes I know, I am LATE BLOOMER, ALWAYS that way...I was in the LOWEST reading group in kindergarten and first grade, buuuut when second grade rolled around I could read a 200 page book in one day...I am SLOOOOOOOOOW to learn, but when I do, Oh man WATCH OUT!!! So I got admonished by elder Sis. Abbott during prayer before church one Sunday evening. It was PRAYER TIME and I was just SITTING there!!! I wasn't goofing off, I wasn't causing trouble, I wasn't talking with my friends, I was just sitting there, BORED!!!!!!!!! (Mediocrity and Complacency!!!)

Ooooo Sis. Abbott GOT DOWN ON ME!!! She called me out and said she needed to have a word with me and OOOOO MAN I knew I was BUSTED!!! I'll never forget her beautiful crystal blue eyes peircining into mine as she said to me, "MARY! You need to learn how to pray!" She kept emphasizing it as she admonished me and I remember I was soooo EMBARASSED!!! ANd I'm sure cheeks were red as I just nodded my head and said ok. AND you know, I really do NOT know WHY she picked me to talk to, because there were PLENTY of other people...ADULTS, that could have used a good talking to also, (Just sayin' LOL) buuuuuuuuut I am soooooooo THANKFUL that she did that day.  That talk is FOREVER branded in my mind!!! I was BLESSED to be admonished by her!!!

I was wiping down tables after a youth fundraiser a couple of Sunday nights ago and I was going around a group of people that were still eating and they looked up at me said... We're talkin about YOU!!! I just smiled and said OH REALLY??? Then they kind of just looked at me expectantley like, don't you what to know what we're saying?!?!

Attitude CHECK!!!

A couple of weeks ago I was at Wal-mart and I was feelin sooo happy and I was JUST in SUCH A GOOD MOOD!!! Really, for no particular reason...I just felt the joy of the Lord in my heart. And there I am shopping, just walkin throught the store like a RAY OF SUNSHINE on dark dreary day for the rest of the world...

 and I get in line and I'm quietly singing a little song under my breath and the cashier was like, WEEEELLL look at you...singing away....YOUR JUST SOOOO HAPPY!!! And she said like kinda questionin...like I MUST have some good news...like did I just proposed to? Win the lottery? What COULD POSSIBLEY be making me sooooo HAPPPY!?!?!?

And without missing a beat I just said, Weeelll you know what, GOD IS JUST SOOOO GOOD!!! AND she just looks at me kinda surprised at my response...buuuuuuut I just smile, cuz that honestly and truley is the reason WHY I was feelin soooo happpppy!!! (Trust me, ain't NOBODY been proposin to me!!!;) AND I felt EVEN happier, cuz I felt like by having the joy of the Lord in my heart I was able to be a witness to this cashier at Wal-mart!!!!!!!!!!

Weeeeeeellll a couple of days later, I found myself at the mall, in NOT quite sooooo good of a mood. Yeah, God is still GOOOOD buuuuuuuut, I was just feelin SLIGHTLY ANNOYED with my brother!!! He had asked me to pick something out for him to give his girlfriend for her birthday cuz he had gotten her this GPS thing for her car but he wanted to give her something girly-girl too, buuuuuut he wasn't about to step foot into the ICING...which my ABSOLUTE favorite store in the whole world for hair accessories....sooooooo he had given me money and told me to pick out something that Liz would like, that wasn't outlandish or wild! He said, "something REALLLY feminine!" I had been thinkin like, okaaaaaaaaay...whats that sayin about ME??? AnywayZ, I took it as, pick out something boring, that I, as in myself would NEVER wear!!! LOLOL

AnywayZ, turns out that, BIG SURPRISE, my brother didn't like what I had picked out. I'm like, okaaaaaaay I din't get anything bright, its really soft pastel like colors...lacey...whats WRONG with it???  LIZ WOULD NEVER WEAR THAT...its too BIG!!! That thing is HUGE my brother said!!! I'm like okaaaaaaay whatever...I have things that are at least twice the size of that!!!

Sooooo NOW here I am, at THE ICING, returning it. SO I tell the girl, who happens to see me QUITE often cuz, weeeelll you know, this is my favorite store, so I tell her that I gotta return it. She says, Oh i'm sorry, thats one of our dressy accessories, it can't be returned! I'm like, OH no its ok! I have my RECIEPT!!! I pull it out and show it to her. She says oh I know, buuuut the store has a policy on certain things that we sell, they can't be returned because they are dressy!

I'm  thinkin like WHAAAAAAAAAT?! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY...

To the most AMAZING MOMMY in the whole entire world!!! I thank God for a mom that has been FAITHFUL, FAITHFUL, FAITHFUL!!! She instilled in me the importance of FAITHFULNESS to the house of God!!! I remember growing up no matter WHAT was going on in our home, no matter how she was feeling, SHE ALWAYS made sure that we were in the House of God!!! She was like the mailman's oath...Rain or shine, snow or sleet, ...

WE WOULD BE IN CHURCH!!!

My mom is a LOVER of HOLINESS!!! When we first moved here from NYC we came from a good church, buuuuut the standards were A LOT different then what the Abbotts taught. IN ALL my years growing up, I have NEVER heard my mom say, WEEEEEEELLLL...you know, thats NOT what we were taught in our other church where we got saved...where we found the truth...NOPE...she embraced EVERYTHING the Abbott's taught full heartedley!!! (Just think, had I stayed in NYC ya all coulda had the chance to see ME, in short skirts!!! Bahahaha..and we can all say, THANK GOD FOR THE ABBOTT'S!!! ;)

I've KNOWN people, that have come in under other standards being taught and I've seen that there are things that they have difficulty letting go of and I have heard them say, well I just don't understand, It was ok at my other church...AND I can understand where they are coming from. Soooooo I asked my mom about this a couple of years ago. I said, MOM! Why didn't you ever question the things that we were taught? How come you NEVER said, WEEEELLLL  it was ok in our other church...blah, blah, blah...She said....

BECAUSE, it was NEVER about living in a way that I was trying to get away with as much as possible and STILL be considered saved. I just wanted to be pleasing to God. When we came from NYC I visited several different churches, but when I stepped foot into the Abbott's church, I KNEW this was HOME!!! She said that Bro. Abbott was her new pastor and whatever he taught she going to do...WHY??? Because she wanted to be pleasing to God!!! She said that everything we do, we DO to please God!!!! AND that is a spirit of Holiness!!! Thats EXACTLEY what Sis. Bishop Abbott taught us in Ladies of Legacy...A SPIRIT OF HOLINESS!!! (Amazing lesson that you all would be BLESSED to hear) A spirit of Holiness says I JUST want to be pleasing to God!!! Whatever YOU want God!!!! Yup! Thats ANOTHER reason why I love my mom...she has exuberated to be a SPIRIT OF HOLINESS and has taught me to LOVE HOLINESS!!!!!!!

Showin some LOOOOVE!!!

At West Coast Conference this past year there was a really strong emphasis on reaching the lost. Seeing a soul through the eyes of Jesus. Well, while I was at the conference, I really felt impressed on my heart to show the mom of two of the children that I bring to church some love.

Now this lady is cRaZy!!! She is CONSTANTLEY SCREAMING at her kids, she is hyper, loud, annoying, obnoxious, ADHD, says about two thousand words in a minute, has a history of drug abuse, AND the only reason WHY I actually think she may NOT be on drugs is cuz social workers and CPS makes frequent visits to her home and she still has her kids...lol... and soooooo above all else, she ACTUALLY refers to herself as,

THE cRaZy WHITE LADY!!!

Sooooo I mean when you see kids having to live in these kind of situations, its NATURAL to just feel love and compassion for them. OH THE POOR THINGS!!! Havin her for a MOM...your just like, OH their ONLY HOPE in life is JESUS!!! And your heart just goes out to the kids!!! BUUUUUT THE MOM?????? Buuuuut I felt God impressed on my heart, show that cRaZy WHITE LADY some LOOOOOOVE!!! .

Weeeeelllll the NEXT time I go over there and I see THE cRaZy WHITE LADY, I go over to her and give her a hug and as I am giving her a hug I tell her, I want you to know that I love you AND I'm praying for you! So as I am STILL hugging her she says, OH thank YOU soooo much for your prayers, I have been REALLLLLY needing them...we've really been going through it over here...LET ME TELL YOU...we JUST got rid of all the.....BED BUGS!!!!!!!

AND I AM TELLING YOU she says as she releases me from the hug, that has been SOME ORDEAL!!!! I have done over thirty loads of laundry...blah, blah, blah...They are sooooo hard to get rid of!!! Sooooo I REALLLY appreciate your prayers!!! Heeeeey... WHY DON'T you come in and visit with me for a few minutes!!!????!!?!?!! And I think...Oh sure, WHY NOT?????

Moving up in life...

Soooooo my brother is dating a girl from our church named Elizabeth Nickels...and as you all know from my posts, I have been their OFFICIAL chaperone. Well last night when we riding back my brother says to me, Liz is moving up in life, she WAS a Nickel, but now that we are dating, she is a quarter.. I'm like um ok! He turns to Liz and they give each other ADORING looks and he smiles at her and says, "she doesnt get it!"

I'm like, OKAAAAAAAY yeah, I GET IT!!! Her last name is NICKELS and so your saying she is a quarter now...a quarter is MORE than Nickel...I may not be good at math buuut...I know the value of MONEY...I get it...From a Nickel to a Quarter!!! I'm like I GET IT...I just don't think its FUNNNNY!!!

 And in my mind I am TRYING to figure out how she is even a quarter NOW in the first place? Her and my brother aren't married yet, so doesn't that she mean is STILL a NICKEL??? Plus, EVEN IF, they do end up gettin married, our last name is GINTY???????? HOW does that in any way make her a QUARTER???? Does our last name really mean quarter in Irish or something???

Awkward Sunday School Moment!!!

We all had such a blast last Sunday night at Texas Roadhouse...Discussing Adventure's in Odyssey....and trying to hook EVERYONE up with SOMEONE...LOL!!!  I LOVE walkin into a resturaunt and everyone says, OH WOW you all look sooooooooo NICE!!! Did you just come from a weddin? A Dance? NO! NO! We just got outta CHURRRRRRRCH!!! Its soooooooooooo AWESOME to be able to say that!!! LOVE IT!!! ♥

A Mountain Apart Youth Camp!!!

Okaaaaaaaaay EVERYONE!!! I promised Bro. Andrew Foster like a MONTH or so ago that I would post about THE AWESOMEST youth camp EVERRRR and HE SAID, that he was going to get to SOMETHING that he was SUPPOSED to be doing for ME, the VERY next day...HERE we are over a month later and I am STILL waiting!!! AND i'm not going to lie, i am VBERRRRRY, VERRRRRY surprised that Mr. Organized-Responsible-NEVER-LATE has ACTUALLY been PROCRASTINATING!!! SUCH A SHOCK!!! (Verrrrrrrrry disapointed :,( AHAHAHAHA!!! (Hopefully he gets my VERY discreet hint!;P)

AnywayZ, NOW that we have gotten THAT out of the way, without ANY FURTHER HINDERANCES, I want YOU ALL to know about THE AWESOMEST YOUTH CAMP EVERRRR!!! Its called A MOUNTAIN APART YOUTH CAMP!!! (AYC) Located in the mountains of New Mexico!!! I went the first year and was really bummed that I couldn't make it last year!!!

A dream come TRUE!!!

Soooooooooooo last week I acomplished a HUGE dream in my life!!! I drove, ALL BY MYSELF, over to Paradise Shadows, the apartment complex where i've been working with the African refugee kids for the last 6 years!!! I have always, always, ALWAYS wanted to be able to do this!!! Last week my sis told me...

 JUST TAKE THE VAN...

 AND GO!!!!!

I was like YESSSSSSSSS!!!! Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!!!! AWESOME!!!!

Weeeeeeeellll you shoulda seen the kids when I came PULLIN IN THERE...HONKIN THE HORN!!! They like FREAKED OUT!!! It was soooo awesome!!!! LOL! "OH MY GOODNESS!!! Mary's driving! Mary's driving! MARY'S DRIVING!!!! When did you learn how to drive? Who taught you? So your old enough now?! Mary's FINALLY 16!!!" AHAHAHAHA!!!

Then I went into Esther's apartment to bring her some spagetti I had made her, and I was like, HEEEEEEY, guess HOW I got here??? She just looks at me and then is like, YOU DROVE??? I was like YUP!!!! She is like, shuuuuuuuuuuuuut UP!!! I was like yeah, come on lets go for a ride. She was like, I AM SOOOOO SCARED MARY!!! AHAHAHAHA!!! I was  like, JUST put your seat belt on girl...PUT YOUR SEAT BELT ON!!!!

Sooooooo THEN I'm gettin ready to leave and MIRIAM comes over!!! NOW Miriam is the, craZiest, LOUDEST, trouble-makin girl EVERRRR and I sooooooooo LOVE her!!! LOL! Weeeellll she sees me driving and she is like, OH MY GOODNESS!!! YOU DRIVE???? I'm like YUP!!! She gets this HUGE grin on her face and is like, OOOOOH GIRRRRL..Me and you are gonna be hanging out ALL the time now!!! She's like shopping, the mall, your house, the pool, WHERE WE GOING MARY??? I was like,

WE GOING TO CHURRRRCH!!!

Pride & Predjudice...

Soooooooooooo I was chaperoning my brother and his girlfriend last week, which is pretty much the story of my life right now...LOL...AND we went see a play... PRIDE AND PREDJUDICE...AND BOY was I CONFUSED!!! AHAHAHA!!! Now, my wonderful, beautiful, friend, that I won't mention her name cuz she yells at me EVERY time I say her name on my blog...buuuuut she happens to be a  HISTORY teacher at a local Christian Academy..LOL anywayZ ...she absolutely LOVES Jane Austen Novels

 AND she has tried to convince me of their LOVLINESS...by telling me the WHOLE entire Jayne Eyre novel...which when she was done I was like...wow...THATS REALLY SAD!!! She's like MARY, they LOVED each other, it was BEAUTIFUL...I'm like...ummmmm NOOOO... try WEIRRRRD AND DEPRESSING!!! HAHAHA!!!

Sooooo my confusion for the play started out IMMEDIATLEY, mainly because I have NEVERRRR actually read the novel before, so I had NOOOOOO idea WHAT the story line was even about. Soooo it starts out with this black man walking out and introducing his DAUGHTERS that are all WHITE and then his WIFE who is also WHITE...sooooo i'm thinkin like, OH cool!!! This story MUST be about LOVE between a ♥BLACK MAN and a ♥WHITE WOMAN!!! (woot! WOot!!!;)

 And they must have adopted all these white girls and I bet people were PREDJUDICE against them cuz, hellllloooo, this book was written waaaaaaaaaaay back in the day AND there is NOOOOO way people would have been cool with this happenin!!!

Soooooooo AFTER about 20 minutes and NO mention of the dad being black...I turned to Liz in utter confusion and said, sooooooo does the fact that this man is BLACK have ANYTHING to do with the story line, or does the actor just happen to BE BLACK?!?!! She starts laughing and is like, NO!!! I think the actor JUST HAPPPENS to be black!!!

I COULD...;)

Soooo ME AND KIMMY KAT were riding together, a couple of months ago, I'm NOT going to say where we were heading...AHAHA...AND I was like SOOOOO HYPER!!! Like, HYSTERICAL laughter, I can't even breath kind of hyper.

And I'm like, OMW KIM! OMW! OMW! OMW!!! I loooooooooooooooove him!!! I LOVE HIM!!! And Kim stops and just LOOKS at me kinda shocked like and she is like, FOR REALZ?????? Sooooo I stopped and thought about it for about 2.5 seconds...I think THIS definiton of LOVE went through my mind...

PARTY TIME!!!

I wish you all could have seen me the other day. I was sooooo EXCITED!!! I was bouncing off the walls. My heart was exuberanltey filled with JOY!!!!!!! It was overflowing out of me...I COULD NOT STOP SMILING!!! Oh MAN!!! I was soooooooooooooo HAPPPPY!!! My sis kept looking at me...she's like oh WOW!!! You have THAT look in your eyes!!!  ITs the look I get when I'm off in my own world...daydreaming...and you can be talking to me...having a conversation with me...and I have ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOOOOOO IDEA what you are saying...even tho I am talking with you!!! HAHAHA!!! My sis is like now dont be surprised if it doesn't happen yet, you might have to wait a little bit longer!!!
